1 Cette parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:	1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
2 “Fils d’homme, tu habites au milieu d’une bande de rebelles; ils ont des yeux pour voir et ne voient pas, des oreilles pour entendre et n’entendent pas. C’est vraiment une bande de rebelles.	2 Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house; they have eyes to see but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.
3 Prépare-toi donc, fils d’homme, un bagage d’exilé, en plein jour et sous leurs yeux. Tu quitteras le lieu où tu te trouves pour un autre endroit; peut-être reconnaîtront-ils alors qu’ils sont une bande de rebelles.	3 Now, son of man, during the day while they are looking on, prepare your baggage as though for exile, and again while they are looking on, migrate from where you live to another place; perhaps they will see that they are a rebellious house.
4 Tu prépareras tes affaires en plein jour, comme fait un exilé, et le soir tu sortiras, comme sortent les exilés.	4 You shall bring out your baggage like an exile in the daytime while they are looking on; in the evening, again while they are looking on, you shall go out like one of those driven into exile;
5 Devant eux tu feras un trou dans le mur, par où tu sortiras.	5 while they look on, dig a hole in the wall and pass through it;
6 Tu chargeras ton ballot sur l’épaule et tu sortiras devant eux dans l’obscurité; tu te couvriras le visage pour ne pas voir le pays, car j’ai fait de toi un signe pour la maison d’Israël.”	6 while they look on, shoulder the burden and set out in the darkness; cover your face that you may not see the land, for I have made you a sign for the house of Israel.
7 J’ai donc exécuté l’ordre que j’avais reçu. J’ai préparé durant le jour mes affaires, comme un bagage d’exilé, et le soir j’ai percé avec la main un trou dans le mur, puis je suis sorti de nuit devant eux après avoir chargé mon sac sur l’épaule.	7 I did as I was told. During the day I brought out my baggage as though it were that of an exile, and at evening I dug a hole through the wall with my hand and, while they looked on, set out in the darkness, shouldering my burden.
8 Au matin une parole de Yahvé m’a été adressée:	8 Then, in the morning, the word of the LORD came to me:
9 “Fils d’homme, ces gens d’Israël, cette bande de rebelles, ne t’ont pas demandé ce que tu faisais là?	9 Son of man, did not the house of Israel, that rebellious house, ask you what you were doing?
10 Eh bien, tu leur diras de la part de Yahvé: Ainsi feront le prince qui est à Jérusalem et tous les Israélites qui y demeurent.	10 Tell them: Thus says the Lord GOD: This oracle concerns Jerusalem and the whole house of Israel within it.
11 “Tu vas dire à leur intention: Je suis pour vous un signe; il vous sera fait comme j’ai fait. Vous partirez en déportation, en exil!	11 I am a sign for you: as I have done, so shall it be done to them; as captives they shall go into exile.
12 Le prince qui est au milieu de vous chargera son bagage sur son épaule dans l’obscurité et sortira par le trou qu’on aura percé pour le faire sortir; il aura le visage couvert, de sorte qu’il ne verra pas le pays.	12 The prince who is among them shall shoulder his burden and set out in darkness, going through a hole that he has dug in the wall, and covering his face lest he be seen by anyone.
13 Mais j’étendrai mon filet sur lui, et dans mon filet il sera pris; je le conduirai à Babylone, au pays des Kaldéens. Il y mourra, mais il ne le verra pas.	13 But I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon, into the land of the Chaldeans--but he shall not see it--and there he shall die.
14 Je disperserai à tous les vents ceux qui l’entourent, toute sa troupe, et je les poursuivrai avec l’épée.	14 All his retinue, his aides, and his troops I will scatter in every direction, and pursue them with the sword.
15 “Ils sauront que je suis Yahvé lorsque je les aurai semés parmi les nations, dispersés dans ces pays.	15 Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them over foreign lands.
16 Cependant j’épargnerai quelques uns d’entre eux qui échapperont à l’épée, à la famine et à la peste, et alors ils pourront confesser au milieu des nations où ils iront toutes les horreurs qu’ils ont commises; alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.”	16 Yet I will leave a few of them to escape the sword, famine and pestilence, so that they may tell of all their abominations among the nations to which they will come; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
17 Cette parole de Yahvé me fut encore adressée:	17 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
18 “Fils d’homme, tu vas manger ton pain en tremblant et boire ton eau comme angoissé et accablé.	18 Son of man, eat your bread trembling, and drink your water shaking with anxiety.
19 Et puis tu diras à l’intention des messieurs de Jérusalem: Cette parole de Yahvé est destinée aux habitants de Jérusalem, à tous ceux qui sont encore sur la terre d’Israël: Ils mangeront leur pain dans l’angoisse, ils boiront leur eau dans la tristesse, leur pays sera désolé, privé de ses richesses à cause de la violence de ses habitants.	19 Then say to the people of the land: Thus says the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem (to the land of Israel): They shall eat their bread in anxiety and drink their water in horror, that their land may be emptied of the violence of all its inhabitants that now fills it.
20 Les villes habitées seront réduites en ruines et le pays deviendra un désert; alors vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.”	20 Inhabited cities shall be in ruins, and the land shall be a waste; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
21 Cette parole de Dieu me fut adressée:	21 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
22 “Fils d’homme, qu’est-ce qu’on entend répéter chez vous en terre d’Israël: “Le délai s’allonge, la vision ne valait rien”?	22 Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel: "The days drag on, and no vision ever comes to anything"?
23 Tu vas leur dire, toi, cette parole de Yahvé: Je ferai mentir ce proverbe et on ne le répétera plus en Israël. Et tu ajouteras: Les jours viennent où toute vision s’accomplira.	23 Say to them therefore: Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to this proverb; they shall never quote it again in Israel. Rather, say to them: The days are at hand, and also the fulfillment of every vision.
24 Oui, pour la maison d’Israël il n’y aura aucune vision ou signe sans résultat.	24 There shall no longer be any false visions or deceitful divinations within the house of Israel, because it is I, the LORD, who will speak.
25 Car moi, Yahvé, je dis ce que j’ai à dire et mes paroles s’accomplissent. Il n’y aura plus de délai, car c’est de vos jours, bande de rebelles, que je vais parler et réaliser - parole de Yahvé.”	25 Whatever I speak is final, and it shall be done without further delay. In your days, rebellious house, whatever I speak I will bring about, says the Lord GOD.
26 Cette parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:	26 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
27 “Fils d’homme, les gens d’Israël disent: Encore une vision qui n’est pas pour aujourd’hui, il prophétise pour un avenir lointain.	27 Son of man, listen to the house of Israel saying, "The vision he sees is a long way off; he prophesies of the distant future!"
28 Mais toi tu vas leur dire cette parole de Yahvé: Aucune de mes paroles ne tardera plus à s’accomplir; ce que je dis se fera - parole de Yahvé.”	28 Say to them therefore: Thus says the Lord GOD: None of my words shall be delayed any longer; whatever I speak is final, and it shall be done, says the Lord GOD.
