1 וְאֵלֶּה ׀ מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר הִכּוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּרְשׁוּ אֶת־אַרְצָם בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן מִזְרְחָה הַשָּׁמֶשׁ מִנַּחַל אַרְנֹון עַד־הַר חֶרְמֹון וְכָל־הָעֲרָבָה מִזְרָחָה	1 The kings of the country, whom the Israelites conquered and whose territory they took, on the further, eastern side of the Jordan, from the Wadi Arnon to Mount Hermon, with the entire Arabah to the east, were asfol ows:
2 סִיחֹון מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי הַיֹּושֵׁב בְּחֶשְׁבֹּון מֹשֵׁל מֵעֲרֹועֵר אֲשֶׁר עַל־שְׂפַת־נַחַל אַרְנֹון וְתֹוךְ הַנַּחַל וַחֲצִי הַגִּלְעָד וְעַד יַבֹּק הַנַּחַל גְּבוּל בְּנֵי עַמֹּון	2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon, ruled from Aroer which is on the edge of the ArnonVal ey, including the bottom of the val ey, half Gilead and as far as the Jabbok, the river forming the frontier withthe Ammonites;
3 וְהָעֲרָבָה עַד־יָם כִּנְרֹות מִזְרָחָה וְעַד יָם הָעֲרָבָה יָם־הַמֶּלַח מִזְרָחָה דֶּרֶךְ בֵּית הַיְשִׁמֹות וּמִתֵּימָן תַּחַת אַשְׁדֹּות הַפִּסְגָּה	3 the eastern Arabah up to the Sea of Chinneroth, and as far as the Sea of the Arabah, or Salt Sea, onthe eastern side, in the direction of Beth-Jeshimoth, and, in the south, the watered foothil s of Mount Pisgah.
4 וּגְבוּל עֹוג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן מִיֶּתֶר הָרְפָאִים הַיֹּושֵׁב בְּעַשְׁתָּרֹות וּבְאֶדְרֶעִי	4 Og king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and Edrei,
5 וּמֹשֵׁל בְּהַר חֶרְמֹון וּבְסַלְכָה וּבְכָל־הַבָּשָׁן עַד־גְּבוּל הַגְּשׁוּרִי וְהַמַּעֲכָתִי וַחֲצִי הַגִּלְעָד גְּבוּל סִיחֹון מֶלֶךְ־חֶשְׁבֹּון	5 ruled over Mount Hermon and Salecah, the whole of Bashan to the frontier of the Geshurites andMaacathites, and half Gilead to the frontier of Sihon king of Heshbon.
6 מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד־יְהוָה וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הִכּוּם וַיִּתְּנָהּ מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד־יְהוָה יְרֻשָּׁה לָרֻאוּבֵנִי וְלַגָּדִי וְלַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט הַמְנַשֶּׁה׃ ס	6 Moses, servant of Yahweh, and the Israelites conquered these, and Moses, servant of Yahweh,conferred their territory on the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
7 וְאֵלֶּה מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר הִכָּה יְהֹושֻׁעַ וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן יָמָּה מִבַּעַל גָּד בְּבִקְעַת הַלְּבָנֹון וְעַד־הָהָר הֶחָלָק הָעֹלֶה שֵׂעִירָה וַיִּתְּנָהּ יְהֹושֻׁעַ לְשִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יְרֻשָּׁה כְּמַחְלְקֹתָם	7 The kings of the country whom Joshua and the Israelites conquered on the nearer, western side of theJordan, from Baal-Gad in the Vale of Lebanon to Mount Halak rising towards Seir, and whose heritage Joshuadistributed to the tribes of Israel, dividing it up between them, were as follows:
8 בָּהָר וּבַשְּׁפֵלָה וּבָעֲרָבָה וּבָאֲשֵׁדֹות וּבַמִּדְבָּר וּבַנֶּגֶב הַחִתִּי הָאֱמֹרִי וְהַכְּנַעֲנִי הַפְּרִזִּי הַחִוִּי וְהַיְבוּסִי׃ ף	8 In the highlands and the lowlands, in the Arabah and in the watered foothil s, in the desert and in theNegeb, belonging to the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites:
9 מֶלֶךְ יְרִיחֹו אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ הָעַי אֲשֶׁר־מִצַּד בֵּית־אֵל אֶחָד	9 the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai near Bethel, one;
10 מֶלֶךְ יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ חֶבְרֹון אֶחָד	10 the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
11 מֶלֶךְ יַרְמוּת אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ לָכִישׁ אֶחָד	11 the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
12 מֶלֶךְ עֶגְלֹון אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ גֶּזֶר אֶחָד	12 the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
13 מֶלֶךְ דְּבִר אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ גֶּדֶר אֶחָד	13 the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
14 מֶלֶךְ חָרְמָה אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ עֲרָד אֶחָד	14 the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;
15 מֶלֶךְ לִבְנָה אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ עֲדֻלָּם אֶחָד	15 the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adul am, one;
16 מֶלֶךְ מַקֵּדָה אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ בֵּית־אֵל אֶחָד	16 the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;
17 מֶלֶךְ תַּפּוּחַ אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ חֵפֶר אֶחָד	17 the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;
18 מֶלֶךְ אֲפֵק אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ לַשָּׁרֹון אֶחָד	18 the king of Aphek, one; the king of Sharon, one;
19 מֶלֶךְ מָדֹון אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ חָצֹור אֶחָד	19 the king of Merom, one; the king of Hazor, one;
20 מֶלֶךְ שִׁמְרֹון מְראֹון אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ אַכְשָׁף אֶחָד	20 the king of Shimron Meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
21 מֶלֶךְ תַּעְנַךְ אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ מְגִדֹּו אֶחָד	21 the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
22 מֶלֶךְ קֶדֶשׁ אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ־יָקְנֳעָם לַכַּרְמֶל אֶחָד	22 the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one;
23 מֶלֶךְ דֹּור לְנָפַת דֹּור אֶחָד מֶלֶךְ־גֹּויִם לְגִלְגָּל אֶחָד	23 the king of Dor, on the Slopes of Dor, one; the king of the nations in Galilee, one;
24 מֶלֶךְ תִּרְצָה אֶחָד כָּל־מְלָכִים שְׁלֹשִׁים וְאֶחָד׃ פ	24 the king of Tirzah, one; Total number of al these kings: thirty-one.
