1 זֶה סֵפֶר תֹּולְדֹת אָדָם בְּיֹום בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתֹו	1 This is the rol of Adam's descendants: On the day that God created Adam he made him in the likenessof God.
2 זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמָם אָדָם בְּיֹום הִבָּרְאָם׃ ס	2 Male and female he created them. He blessed them and gave them the name Man, when they werecreated.
3 וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בִּדְמוּתֹו כְּצַלְמֹו וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו שֵׁת	3 When Adam was a hundred and thirty years old he fathered a son, in his likeness, after his image, andhe cal ed him Seth.
4 וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי־אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	4 Adam lived for eight hundred years after the birth of Seth and he fathered sons and daughters.
5 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר־חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	5 In al , Adam lived for nine hundred and thirty years; then he died.
6 וַיְחִי־שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ	6 When Seth was a hundred and five years old he fathered Enosh.
7 וַיְחִי־שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	7 After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived for eight hundred and seven years, and he fathered sons anddaughters.
8 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	8 In al , Seth lived for nine hundred and twelve years; then he died.
9 וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־קֵינָן	9 When Enosh was ninety years old he fathered Kenan.
10 וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־קֵינָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	10 After the birth of Kenan, Enosh lived for eight hundred and fifteen years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
11 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אֱנֹושׁ חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	11 In al , Enosh lived for nine hundred and five years; then he died.
12 וַיְחִי קֵינָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל	12 When Kenan was seventy years old he fathered Mahalalel.
13 וַיְחִי קֵינָן אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	13 After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived for eight hundred and forty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
14 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי קֵינָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	14 In al , Kenan lived for nine hundred and ten years; then he died.
15 וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־יָרֶד	15 When Mahalalel was sixty-five years old he fathered Jared.
16 וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־יֶרֶד שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	16 After the birth of Jared, Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and thirty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
17 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	17 In al , Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and ninety-five years; then he died.
18 וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ	18 When Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old he fathered Enoch.
19 וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	19 After the birth of Enoch, Jared lived for eight hundred years and he fathered sons and daughters.
20 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ פ	20 In al , Jared lived for nine hundred and sixty-two years; then he died.
21 וַיְחִי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח	21 When Enoch was sixty-five years old he fathered Methuselah.
22 וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	22 Enoch walked with God. After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived for three hundred years and hefathered sons and daughters.
23 וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה	23 In al , Enoch lived for three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי־לָקַח אֹתֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ פ	24 Enoch walked with God, then was no more, because God took him.
25 וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־לָמֶךְ	25 When Methuselah was a hundred and eighty-seven years old he fathered Lamech.
26 וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	26 After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years and he fatheredsons and daughters.
27 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ פ	27 In al , Methuselah lived for nine hundred and sixty-nine years; then he died.
28 וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בֵּן	28 When Lamech was a hundred and eighty-two years old he fathered a son.
29 וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבֹון יָדֵינוּ מִן־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרְרָהּ יְהוָה	29 He gave him the name Noah because, he said, 'Here is one who wil give us, in the midst of our toiland the labouring of our hands, a consolation out of the very soil that Yahweh cursed.'
30 וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות	30 After the birth of Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years and fathered sons anddaughters.
31 וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס	31 In al , Lamech lived for seven hundred and seventy-seven years; then he died.
32 וַיְהִי־נֹחַ בֶּן־חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד נֹחַ אֶת־שֵׁם אֶת־חָם וְאֶת־יָפֶת	32 When Noah was five hundred years old he fathered Shem, Ham and Japheth.
