3 podereis comer todo animal que tem a unha fendida e o casco dividido, e que rumina. | 3 "You may eat any animal that has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, and that is a ruminant. |
4 Mas não comereis aqueles que só ruminam ou só têm a unha fendida. A estes, tê-los-eis por impuros: tal como o camelo, que rumina mas não tem o casco fendido. | 4 The fol owing, which either chew the cud or have a cloven hoof, are the ones that you may not eat: youwil regard the camel as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof; |
5 E como o coelho igualmente, que rumina mas não tem a unha fendida; tê-los-eis por impuros. | 5 you wil regard the coney as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof; |
6 E como a lebre também, que rumina, mas não tem a unha fendida; tê-la-eis por impura, | 6 you wil regard the hare as unclean, because though it is ruminant, it does not have a cloven hoof; |
7 E enfim, como o porco, que tem a unha fendida e o pé dividido, mas não rumina; tê-lo-eis por impuro. | 7 you wil regard the pig as unclean, because though it has a cloven hoof, divided into two parts, it is nota ruminant. |
8 Não comereis da sua carne e não tocareis nos seus cadáveres: vós os tereis por impuros. | 8 You will not eat the meat of these or touch their dead bodies; you wil regard them as unclean. |
9 Entre os animais que vivem na água, eis que podereis comer: podereis comer tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas, nas águas, no mar e nos rios. | 9 "Of al that lives in water, these you may eat: "Anything that has fins and scales, and lives in the water, whether in sea or river, you may eat. |
10 Mas tereis em abominação todos os que não têm barbatanas nem escama, nos mares e nos rios, entre todos os animais que vivem nas águas e entre todos os seres vivos que nelas se encontram. | 10 But anything in sea or river that does not have fins and scales, of al the smal water-creatures and althe living things found there, you wil regard as detestable. |
11 A estes, tê-los-eis em abominação: não comereis de sua carne e tereis em abominação os seus cadáveres. | 11 You wil regard them as detestable; you must not eat their meat and you wil regard their carcases asdetestable. |
12 Todos os que nas águas não têm barbatanas nem escamas, tê-los-eis em abominação. | 12 Anything that lives in water, but not having fins and scales, you wil regard as detestable. |
13 "Entre as aves, eis as que tereis abominação e de cuja carne não comereis, porque é uma abominação: | 13 "Of the birds these are the ones that you wil regard as detestable; they may not be eaten, they aredetestable for eating: "The tawny vulture, the griffon, the osprey, |
14 a águia, o falcão e o abutre, o milhafre e toda variedade de falcões, | 14 the kite, the various kinds of buzzard, |
15 toda espécie de corvo, | 15 all kinds of raven, |
16 a avestruz, a andorinha, a gaivota e toda espécie de gavião, | 16 the ostrich, the screech owl, the seagul , the various kinds of hawk, |
17 o mocho, a coruja e o íbis, | 17 horned owl, night owl, cormorant, barn owl, |
18 o cisne, o pelicano, o alcatraz | 18 ibis, pelican, white vulture, |
19 e a cegonha, toda variedade de garça, a poupa e o morcego. | 19 stork, the various kinds of heron, the hoopoe and the bat. |
20 Todo volátil que anda sobre quatro pés vos será uma abominação. | 20 "Al winged insects moving on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating. |
21 Todavia, entre os insetos voláteis que andam sobre quatro pés podereis comer aqueles que, além de seus quatro pés, têm pernas para saltar em cima da terra. | 21 Of al these winged insects you may eat only the fol owing: those with the sort of legs above their feetwhich enable them to leap over the ground. |
22 Eis, pois, os que podereis comer: toda espécie de gafanhotos, assim como as variedades de solam, de hargol e de hagab. | 22 These are the ones you may eat: the various kinds of migratory locust, the various kinds of solhamlocust, hargol locust and hagab locust. |
23 Qualquer outro volátil que tenha quatro pés vos será uma abominação. | 23 But al other winged insects on four feet you wil regard as detestable for eating. |
24 Tornar-vos-eis imundos se os tocardes: se alguém tocar os seus cadáveres será impuro até a tarde, | 24 "By the fol owing you wil be made unclean. Anyone who touches the carcase of one wil be uncleanuntil evening. |
25 e aquele que levar os seus cadáveres lavará suas vestes e será impuro até a tarde. | 25 Anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening. |
26 Tereis por impuro todo animal que tenha a unha fendida, mas que não tem o pé dividido e não rumina; se alguém o tocar será imundo. | 26 Animals that have hoofs, but not cloven, and that are not ruminant, you wil regard as unclean;anyone who touches them will be unclean. |
27 Tereis também por impuros todos os quadrúpedes que andam nas plantas dos pés; se alguém tocar seus cadáveres será impuro até a tarde; | 27 Those four-footed animals which walk on the flat of their paws you wil regard as unclean; anyonewho touches their carcases wil be unclean until evening, |
28 e aquele que levar os seus cadáveres lavará suas vestes e será impuro até a tarde. Tereis esses animais por impuros. | 28 and anyone who picks up their carcases must wash his clothing and wil be unclean until evening.You will regard them as unclean. |
29 Entre os animais que se movem em cima da terra, eis os que tereis por impuro: a toupeira, o rato e toda variedade de lagartos, | 29 "Of the smal creatures which crawl along the ground, these are the ones which you wil regard asunclean: the mole, the rat, the various kinds of lizard: |
30 o musaranho, a rã, a tartaruga, a lagartixa e o camaleão. | 30 gecko, koah, letaah, chameleon and tinshamet. |
31 Tais são os répteis que tereis por impuros, quem os tocar mortos será impuro até a tarde. | 31 "Of al the smal creatures, these are the animals which you must regard as disgusting. Anyone whotouches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening. |
32 Todo objeto o qual caírem os seus cadáveres será impuro: vasos de madeira, vestes, peles, sacos e qualquer outro utensílio. Por-se-á esse objeto na água e ele será imundo até a tarde; depois disso será puro. | 32 "Any object on which one of these creatures fal s when it is dead becomes unclean: wooden utensil,clothing, skin, sacking, any utensil whatever. It must be immersed in water and wil remain unclean until evening:then it wil be clean. |
33 Se cair uma parte desses cadáveres num vaso de terra, tudo o que se encontrar nele será impuro, e quebrareis esse vaso. | 33 If the creature fal s into an earthenware vessel, the vessel must be broken; whatever the vesselcontains is unclean. |
34 Todo alimento preparado com água {desse vaso} será impuro; toda bebida, seja qual for o recipiente que a contenha, será impura. | 34 Any edible food wil be unclean if the water touches it; any drinkable liquid will be unclean, no matterwhat its container. |
35 Todo objeto sobre o qual cair alguma coisa dos seus cadáveres será impuro; o forno e o fogão serão destruídos: serão impuros, e vós os tereis como tais. | 35 Anything on which the carcase of such a creature may fal wil be unclean: be it oven or stove, it mustbe destroyed; for they are unclean and you wil regard them as unclean |
36 Contudo, as fontes e as cisternas em que há depósito de água ficarão puras, mas aquele que tocar os cadáveres será impuro. | 36 (although springs, wel s and stretches of water wil remain clean); anyone who touches one of theircarcases wil be unclean. |
37 Se cair alguma coisa dos seus cadáveres sobre uma semente qualquer, esta ficará pura. | 37 If one of their carcases fal s on any kind of seed, the seed will remain clean; |
38 Mas se se derramar água sobre a semente e alguma coisa dos seus cadáveres cair sobre ela, tê-la-eis por impura. | 38 but if the seed has been moistened and one of their carcases fal s on it, you wil regard it as unclean. |
39 Se morrer algum animal que vos é lícito comer, aquele que tocar o seu cadáver será impuro até a tarde. | 39 "If one of the animals that you use as food dies, anyone who touches the carcase wil be unclean untilevening; |
40 Quem comer de sua carne lavará suas vestes e será impuro até a tarde; e aquele que levar esse cadáver lavará suas vestes e ficará impuro até a tarde. | 40 anyone who eats any of the carcase must wash his clothing and will remain unclean until evening;anyone who picks up the carcase must wash his clothing and wil remain unclean until evening. |
41 Todo animal que se arrasta sobre a terra vos será uma coisa abominável: não se comerá dele. | 41 "Any creature that swarms on the ground is detestable for eating; it must not be eaten. |
42 Não comereis animal algum que se arrasta sobre a terra, tanto aqueles que se arrastam sobre o ventre como aqueles que andam sobre quatro ou mais pés: tê-los-eis em abominação. | 42 Anything that moves on its bel y, anything that moves on four legs or more -- in short all the creaturesthat swarm on the ground -- you will not eat, since they are detestable. |
43 Não vos torneis abomináveis, comendo um desses répteis, e não vos façais impuros por eles, porque vos tornaríeis imundos. | 43 Do not make yourselves detestable with al these swarming creatures; do not defile yourselves withthem, do not be defiled by them. |
44 Pois eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus. Vós vos santificareis e sereis santos, porque eu sou santo. Não vos contaminareis com esses animais que se arrastam sobre a terra, | 44 For it is I, Yahweh, who am your God. You have been sanctified and have become holy because I amholy: do not defile yourselves with all these creatures that swarm on the ground. |
45 porque eu sou o Senhor que vos tirou da terra do Egito para ser o vosso Deus. Sereis santos porque eu sou santo. | 45 Yes, it is I, Yahweh, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God: you must therefore be holybecause I am holy." ' |
46 Tal é a lei relativa aos quadrúpedes, às aves, a todos os seres vivos que se movem na águas e a todos aqueles que se arrastam sobre a terra. | 46 Such is the law concerning animals, birds, al living creatures that move in water and al creaturesthat swarm on the ground. |
47 Essa lei vos fará discernir o que é puro do que é impuro, o animal que pode ser comido do que não pode." | 47 Its purpose is to distinguish the clean from the unclean, the creatures that may be eaten from thosethat may not be eaten. |
