1 But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine.	1 Te azonban azt hirdesd, ami a józan tanításnak megfelel.

3 Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,	3 Az idős asszonyok hasonlóképpen szent magaviseletűek legyenek, nem rágalmazók, nem a sok bor rabjai, hanem tanítsanak a jóra,
4 so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children,	4 oktassák a fiatal asszonyokat arra, hogy férjüket szeressék, gyermekeiket kedveljék.
5 be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.	5 Legyenek ezenkívül megfontoltak, tiszták, háziasak, jóságosak, férjüknek engedelmesek, hogy ne káromolják miattuk Isten igéjét.
6 Exhort young men similarly, so that they may show self-restraint.	6 Az ifjakat ugyanígy buzdítsd, hogy józanok legyenek.
7 In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness,	7 Mindenekelőtt te magad légy példakép a jótettekben; a tanításban feddhetetlen és komoly.
8 with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.	8 A szavad legyen józan, megcáfolhatatlan, hogy az ellenfél megszégyenüljön, mivel semmi rosszat sem tud mondani rólunk.
9 Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting,	9 A rabszolgákat intsd, hogy vessék alá magukat uruknak mindenben, keressék azok kedvét, ne vitatkozzanak,
10 not cheating, but in all things showing good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.	10 ne hűtlenkedjenek, hanem tanúsítsanak mindenben igaz hűséget, hogy mindenben díszére váljanak Üdvözítő Istenünk tanításának.
11 For the grace of God our Savior has appeared to all men,	11 Megjelent ugyanis Üdvözítő Istenünk kegyelme minden embernek,
12 instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age,	12 és arra oktat minket, hogy tagadjuk meg az istentelenséget és a világi vágyakat. Éljünk józanul, igazként, istenfélelemmel ezen a világon,

14 He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.	14 Ő önmagát adta értünk, hogy megváltson minket minden gonoszságtól, és megtisztítson minket jótettekre törekvő, tulajdon népévé .
15 Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you.	15 Ezt hirdesd, erre buzdíts, és így figyelmeztess teljes határozottsággal. Senki meg ne vessen téged!
