Ezekiel 4

1 “And as for you, son of man, take up for yourself a tablet, and you shall set it before you. And you shall draw upon it the city of Jerusalem.	1 Quant à toi, fils d'homme, prends une brique et mets-la devant toi: tu y graveras une ville,Jérusalem.
2 And you shall set up a blockade against it, and you shall build fortifications, and you shall put together a rampart, and you shall encamp opposite it, and you shall place battering rams around it.	2 Puis tu entreprendras contre elle un siège: tu construiras contre elle des retranchements, tu élèverascontre elle un remblai, tu établiras contre elle des camps et tu installeras contre elle des béliers, tout autour.
3 And you shall take up for yourself an iron frying pan, and place it as an iron wall between you and the city. And harden your face against it, and it shall be under a siege, and you shall surround it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.	3 Alors, prends une poêle de fer que tu installeras comme une muraille de fer entre toi et la ville. Puistu fixeras sur elle ton regard et elle sera assiégée: tu vas en faire le siège. C'est un signe pour la maison d'Israël.
4 And you shall sleep on your left side. And you shall place the iniquities of the house of Israel on it by the number of days that you will sleep on it. And you shall take upon yourself their iniquity.	4 Couche-toi sur le côté gauche et prends sur toi la faute de la maison d'Israël. Autant de jours que tuseras ainsi couché, tu porteras leur faute.
5 For I have given to you the years of their iniquity, by the number of the days: three hundred and ninety days. And you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.	5 C'est moi qui t'ai fixé les années de leur faute à une durée de 390 jours pendant lesquels tu porterasla faute de la maison d'Israël.
6 And when you will have completed this, you shall sleep a second time, on your right side, and you shall assume the iniquity of the house of Judah for forty days: one day for each year; one day, I say, for each year, have I given to you.	6 Et quand tu les auras terminés, tu te coucheras de nouveau, sur le côté droit, et tu porteras la fautede la maison de Juda, 40 jours. Je t'en ai fixé la durée à un jour pour une année.
7 And you shall turn your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and your arm shall be extended. And you shall prophesy against it.	7 Puis tu fixeras ton regard sur le siège de Jérusalem, tu lèveras ton bras nu et tu prophétiseras contreelle.
8 Behold, I have surrounded you with chains. And you shall not turn yourself from one side to the other side, until you have completed the days of your siege.	8 Voici que j'ai mis sur toi des liens et tu ne te tourneras pas d'un côté sur l'autre jusqu'à ce que soientaccomplis les jours de ta réclusion.
9 And you shall take for yourself wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and vetch. And you shall set them in one vessel, and you shall make for yourself bread by the number of days that you will sleep upon your side: three hundred and ninety days shall you shall eat from it.	9 Prends donc du froment, de l'orge, des fèves, des lentilles, du millet et de l'épeautre: mets-les dansun même vase et fais-t'en du pain. Tu en mangeras autant de jours que tu seras couché sur le côté - 390 jours.
10 But your food, which you will eat, shall be in weight twenty staters a day. You shall eat it from time to time.	10 Et cette nourriture que tu mangeras, tu en pèseras vingt sicles par jour que tu mangeras d'un jour àl'autre.
11 And you shall drink water by measure, one sixth part of a hin. You shall drink it from time to time.	11 Tu boiras aussi de l'eau avec mesure, tu en boiras un sixième de setier d'un jour à l'autre.
12 And you shall eat it like barley bread baked under ashes. And you shall cover it, in their sight, with the dung that goes out of a man.”	12 Tu mangeras cette nourriture sous la forme d'une galette d'orge qui aura été cuite sur desexcréments humains, à leurs yeux.
13 And the Lord said: “So shall the sons of Israel eat their bread, polluted among the Gentiles, to whom I will cast them out.”	13 Et Yahvé dit: "C'est ainsi que les Israélites mangeront leur nourriture impure, au milieu desnations où je les chasserai."
14 And I said: “Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God! Behold, my soul has not been polluted, and from my infancy even until now, I have not eaten anything that has died of itself, nor that which has been torn up by beasts, and no unclean flesh at all has entered into my mouth.”	14 Alors je dis: "Ah! Seigneur Yahvé, mon âme n'est pas impure. Depuis mon enfance jusqu'àprésent, jamais je n'ai mangé de bête crevée ou déchirée, et aucune viande avariée ne m'est entrée dans labouche."
15 And he said to me: “Behold, I have given to you cow manure in place of human dung, and you shall make your bread with it.”	15 Il me dit: "Eh bien! je t'accorde de la bouse de boeuf au lieu d'excréments humains; tu feras tonpain dessus."
16 And he said to me: “Son of man, behold: I will crush the staff of bread in Jerusalem. And they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety. And they will drink water by measure and with anguish.	16 Puis il me dit: "Fils d'homme, voici que je vais détruire la réserve de pain à Jérusalem: onmangera dans l'angoisse du pain pesé, on boira avec effroi de l'eau mesurée,
17 So then, when bread and water fail, each one may fall against his brother. And they shall waste away in their iniquities.”	17 parce que le pain et l'eau manqueront; ils seront frappés de stupeur et dépériront à cause de leurfaute."
