Ezekiel 34

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 E disse Iddio a me:
2 “Son of man, prophesy about the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and you shall say to the shepherds: Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?	2 O figliuolo d' uomo, profeta de' pastori d' Israel; profeta, e dirai alli pastori: questo dice lo Signore Iddio guai a' pastori d' Israel, i quali pascevano s medesimi; or non sono pasciute le greggie da' pastori?
3 You consumed the milk, and you covered yourselves with the wool, and you killed what was fattened. But my flock you did not feed.	3 Voi manicavate lo latte, e coprivatevi di lana, e la bestia ch' era grassa voi uccidevate; e la mia greggia non pascevate.
4 What was weak, you have not strengthened, and what was sick, you have not healed. What was broken, you have not bound, and what was cast aside, you have not led back again, and what was lost, you have not sought. Instead, you ruled over them with severity and with power.	4 E non consolidaste quello animale ch' era infermo, e quello ch' era infermo non sanaste, e quello ch' era rotto non legaste, e quello ch' era gittato non ricoglieste, e quello ch' era perso non cercaste; ma (inanzi) comandavate loro con (grande) austerità e con potenza.
5 And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd. And they became devoured by all the wild beasts of the field, and they were dispersed.	5 E le mie pecore sono disperse, però che non ci fu pastore; e sono fatte a divoramento di tutte le (fiere) bestie del campo, e sono disperse.
6 My sheep have wandered to every mountain and to every exalted hill. And my flocks have been scattered across the face of the earth. And there was no one who sought them; there was no one, I say, who sought them.	6 Le mie greggie errarono in tutti li monti e in ogni colle alto e sopra ogni faccia della terra; e non era chi le richiedesse.
7 Because of this, O shepherds, listen to the word of the Lord:	7 E però, o pastori, udite la parola di Dio:
8 As I live, says the Lord God, since my flocks have become a prey, and my sheep have been devoured by all the wild beasts of the field, since there was no shepherd, for my shepherds did not seek my flock, but instead the shepherds fed themselves, and they did not feed my flocks:	8 Io vivo, dice lo Signore Iddio, però che le mie greggie sono venute in rapina, e le mie pecore in divoramento di tutte le bestie del campo, però che non ci è pastore, e li pastori non addimandarono la mia greggia, ma li pastori pasceano sè medesimi, e non pasceano la mia greggia;
9 because of this, O shepherds, listen to the word of the Lord:	9 e però, pastori, udite la parola di Dio:
10 Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I myself will be over the shepherds. I will require my flock at their hand, and I will cause them to cease, so that they no longer refrain from feeding the flock. Neither will the shepherds feed themselves any more. And I will deliver my flock from their mouth; and it will no longer be food for them.	10 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco me sopra li pastori, io richiederò la mia greggia della loro mano, e farolli cessare acciò che non pascano più la mia greggia, e li pastori non pascano più sè medesimi; e libererò la mia greggia della loro bocca, e non sarà più loro in esca.
11 For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I myself will seek my sheep, and I myself will visit them.	11 Però che questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco, io medesimo richiederò le mie pecore, e visiterolle.
12 Just as a shepherd visits his flock, in the day when he will be in the midst of his sheep that were scattered, so will I visit my sheep. And I will deliver them from all the places to which they had been scattered in the day of gloom and darkness.	12 Sì come visita lo pastore la sua greggia,,nel di quando sarà fatto nel mezzo delle pecore dispartite; così visiterò io le mie pecore (e visiterolle), e leverolle di tutti i luoghi ne' quali furono disperse nel dì del nuvolo e della oscuritade.
13 And I will lead them away from the peoples, and I will gather them from the lands, and I will bring them into their own land. And I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, by the rivers, and in all the settlements of the land.	13 E menerolle de' popoli, e radunerolle della terra sua; e pascerolle nelli monti e nelli rivi d' Israel, e in tutte le sedie della terra.
14 I will feed them in very fertile pastures, and their pastures will be on the lofty mountains of Israel. There they will rest on the green grass, and they will be fed in the fat pastures, on the mountains of Israel.	14 E pascerolle nelle pasture (gratissime e) abbondevoli, e le loro pasture saranno nelli alti monti d' Israel; e quivi si riposeranno nell' erbe fresche, e pasceranno nelle pasture grasse sopra li monti d'Israel.
15 I will feed my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord God.	15 Io pascerò le mie pecore, io le farò andare allo riposo del dormire, dice lo Signore Iddio.
16 I will seek what had been lost. And I will lead back again what had been cast aside. And I will bind up what had been broken. And I will strengthen what had been infirm. And I will preserve what was fat and strong. And I will feed them on judgment.	16 E cercherò (per) quello ch' era perduto, e quello ch' era gittato rimenerò alla casa, e rilegherò quello ch' era (sciolto e) rotto, e quello ch' era infermo io farò sano, e quello che sarà grasso e forte guarderò; e pascerollo nel giudicio.
17 But as for you, O my flocks, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, among rams and among he-goats.	17 E voi, greggie mie, (siete) questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io farò giudicio tra pecora e pecora, e tra montone e montone.
18 Was it not enough for you to feed upon good pastures? For you even trample with your feet upon the remainder of your pastures. And when you drank the purist water, you disturbed the remainder with your feet.	18 Or non era assai a voi di pascere le buone pasture? e lo residuo delle pasture conculcaste coi piedi vostri; e conciosia cosa che voi beveste purissime acque (e nette), lo rimanente di quelle acque voi intorbidaste colli piedi.
19 And my sheep were pastured from what you had trampled with your feet, and they drank from what your feet had disturbed.	19 E le mie pecore si pascevano di quelle cose che voi avevate conculcato; e quello che voi turbavate colli vostri piedi, quello beveano.
20 Because of this, thus says the Lord God to you: Behold, I myself am judging between the fat cattle and the lean.	20 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio a voi: ecco io medesimo giudico fra pecora grassa e macilenta.
21 For you have pushed with your sides and shoulders, and you have threatened all the weak cattle with your horns, until they were scattered abroad.	21 Però che voi le perseguitavi da ogni lato, e ventolavate con le vostre corna tutte le pecore inferme, acciò che si disperdessero.
22 I will save my flock, and it will be no longer be a prey, and I will judge between cattle and cattle.	22 Io salverò la mia greggia, e non sarà oltre [in] rapina; e io giudicherò tra pecora e pecora.
23 And I will raise up over them ONE SHEPHERD, who will feed them, my servant David. He himself will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.	23 E risusciterò sopra loro uno pastore lo quale pasca loro, cioè lo mio servo David; egli pascerà quelle, egli sarà loro pastore.
24 And I, the Lord, will be their God. And my servant David will be the leader in their midst. I, the Lord, have spoken.	24 E io Signore sarò loro Iddio, e lo mio servo David sarà principe nel mezzo di loro; e io Signore hoe parlato.
25 And I will make a covenant of peace with them. And I will cause the very harmful beasts to cease from the land. And those who are living in the desert will sleep securely in the forests.	25 E farò con loro lo patto della pace, e farò cessare le bestie pessime della terra; e quelli che àbitano nel deserto, dormiranno securi ne' salti, (che tanto è a dire, quanto bestie salvatiche).
26 And I will make them a blessing all around my hill. And I will send the rain in due time; there will be showers of blessing.	26 E porrolli Lel circuito del mio colle in benedizione, e farò venire lo vento acquaio nel suo tempo (cioè convenevole); e saranno piove di benedizione.
27 And the tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the land will yield its crop. And they will be in their own land without fear. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have crushed the chains of their yoke, and when I will have rescued them from the hand of those who rule over them.	27 E l' arbore del campo darà lo suo frutto, e la terra darà li suoi germogli, e saranno nella sua terra sanza paura; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio, quando io averò spezzate le catene dello loro giogo, e averolli liberati delle mani del signore loro.
28 And they will no longer be a prey to the Gentiles, nor will the wild beasts of the earth devour them. Instead, they will live in confidence without any terror.	28 E non saranno più in rapina alle genti, e le bestie della terra non li divoreranno; e abiteranno fidatamente sanza niuna paura.
29 And I will raise up for them a renown branch. And they will be no longer be diminished by famine in the land, nor will they carry any longer the reproach of the Gentiles.	29 E risusciterò loro lo germoglio (giusto e) nominato; e non saranno più mancati di fame nella terra, e nè porteranno più vituperii delle genti.
30 And they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they are my people, the house of Israel, says the Lord God.	30 E sapranno ch' io sono lo Signore loro, ed egli mio popolo, casa d' Israel, dice lo Signore (loro) Iddio.
31 For you are my flocks; the flocks of my pasture are men. And I am the Lord your God, says the Lord God.”	31 Ma voi siete mie greggie della mia pastura, e siete uomini; io sono lo vostro Iddio, dice lo Signore Iddio.
