Jeremiah 30

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:	1 Das Wort, das vom Herrn an Jeremia erging:
2 “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, saying: You shall write in a book all the words that I have spoken to you.	2 So spricht der Herr, der Gott Israels: Schreib dir alle Worte, die ich dir gesagt habe, in ein Buch!
3 For behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will convert the turning away of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord. And I will return them to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.”	3 Denn seht, es werden Tage kommen - Spruch des Herrn -, da wende ich das Geschick meines Volkes Israel und Juda, spricht der Herr. Ich führe sie zurück in das Land, das ich ihren Vätern zum Besitz gegeben habe.
4 And these are the words which the Lord has spoken to Israel and to Judah:	4 Das sind die Worte, die der Herr über Israel und Juda gesprochen hat:
5 For thus says the Lord: ‘We have heard a voice of terror. There is dread, and there is no peace.’	5 Ja, so spricht der Herr: Angstgeschrei vernehmen wir: Schrecken und kein Friede.
6 Inquire and see, does a male give birth? Then why have I seen every man with his hand on his lower back, like a woman bearing a child? And why have all of their faces turned pale?	6 Fragt doch und schaut, ob je ein Mann Kinder zur Welt bringt. Warum sehe ich alle Männer mit den Händen auf den Hüften wie eine Gebärende? Jedes Gesicht ist verstört und leichenblass.
7 Woe! For that day is great, and there is nothing like it. For it is the time of tribulation for Jacob, but he will be saved from it.	7 Denn groß ist jener Tag, keiner ist ihm gleich. Eine Notzeit ist es für Jakob, doch wird er daraus gerettet.
8 And this shall be in that day, says the Lord of hosts: I will crush his yoke from your neck, and I will break open his bands. And strangers will no longer rule over him.	8 An jenem Tag wird es geschehen - Spruch des Herrn der Heere -, da zerbreche ich das Joch auf seinem Nacken; ich zerreiße seine Stricke und Fremde sollen ihn nicht mehr knechten.
9 Instead, they will serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.	9 Vielmehr wird mein Volk dem Herrn, seinem Gott, dienen und David, seinem König, den ich ihm erstehen lasse.
10 Therefore, O my servant Jacob, you should not be afraid, says the Lord, and you should not be frightened, O Israel. For behold, I will save you from a far away land, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob will return and have rest, and he shall flow with every good thing. And there will be no one for him to dread.	10 Fürchte dich nicht, du, mein Knecht Jakob - Spruch des Herrn -, verzage nicht, Israel! Denn ich bin es, der dich aus fernem Land errettet, deine Kinder aus dem Land ihrer Gefangenschaft. Jakob wird heimkehren und Ruhe haben; er wird in Sicherheit leben und niemand wird ihn erschrecken.
11 For I am with you, says the Lord, so that I may save you. For I will bring about the consummation of all the nations, among which I have scattered you. But I will not bring about your consummation. Instead, I will chastise you in judgment, so that you will not seem innocent to yourself.”	11 Denn ich bin mit dir - Spruch des Herrn -, um dich zu retten. Ja, ich vernichte alle Völker, unter die ich dich zerstreut habe. Nur dich werde ich niemals vernichten; ich züchtige dich mit rechtem Maß, doch ganz ungestraft kann ich dich nicht lassen.
12 For thus says the Lord: “Your fracture is incurable; your wound is very serious.	12 Ja, so spricht der Herr: Arg ist dein Schaden, unheilbar deine Wunde.
13 There is no one who may judge your judgment, so as to bandage it; there is no useful treatment for you.	13 [Niemand verschafft dir Recht.] Für das Geschwür gibt es keine Heilung, keine Genesung gibt es für dich.
14 All your lovers have forgotten you, and they will not seek you. For I have wounded you with the strike of an enemy, with a cruel chastisement. Your sins have become hardened because of the multitude of your iniquities.	14 Alle deine Freunde haben dich vergessen, sie kümmern sich nicht mehr um dich. Denn wie ein Feind schlägt, so habe ich dich geschlagen mit harter Züchtigung [wegen deiner vielfachen Schuld und deiner zahlreichen Sünden].
15 Why do you cry out over your affliction? Your pain is incurable. I have done these things to you because of the multitude of your iniquity and because of your hardened sins.	15 Was schreist du über deinen Schaden und dein arges Leiden? Wegen deiner vielfachen Schuld und deiner zahlreichen Sünden habe ich dir das getan.
16 Because of this, all those who devour you, will be devoured. And all your enemies will be led into captivity. And those who devastate you, will be devastated. And all those who prey upon you, I will offer as a prey.	16 Doch alle, die dich fraßen, werden gefressen, alle deine Bedränger ziehen als Gefangene fort; wer dich ausplünderte, wird ausgeplündert, wer dich beraubte, den gebe ich dem Raub preis.
17 For I will close up your scar, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. For they have called you an outcast, O Zion: ‘This is she who has no one asking for her.’ ”	17 Denn ich lasse dich genesen und heile dich von deinen Wunden - Spruch des Herrn -, weil man dich [das ist Zion] die Verstoßene genannt hat, nach der niemand fragt.
18 Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will turn back the turning away of the tabernacles of Jacob, and I will take pity on his roofs. And the city will be built up in her heights, and the temple will be founded according to its order.	18 So spricht der Herr: Seht, ich wende das Geschick der Zelte Jakobs, seiner Wohnstätten erbarme ich mich. Die Stadt soll auf ihrem Schutthügel aufgebaut werden, die Burg auf ihrem alten Platz stehen.
19 And praise will go forth from them, with the voice of those who play. And I will multiply them, and they will not be lessened. And I will glorify them, and they will not be weakened.	19 Lobgesang wird dort erschallen, die Stimme fröhlicher Menschen. Ich will ihre Zahl vermehren, sie sollen nicht weniger werden; ich will ihnen Ehre verschaffen, sie sollen nicht verachtet werden.
20 And their sons will be as in the beginning. And their assembly will remain in my sight. And I will visit against all those who trouble them.	20 Die Söhne Jakobs werden sein wie ehedem, seine Gemeinde wird vor mir bestehen bleiben, doch alle seine Unterdrücker ziehe ich zur Rechenschaft.
21 And their ruler will one of their own. And their prince will be led forward from their midst. And I will draw him near, and he will cling to me. For who is the one who applies his heart, so that he may draw near to me, says the Lord?	21 Sein Machthaber wird ihm selbst entstammen, sein Herrscher aus seiner Mitte hervorgehen. Ich gewähre ihm Zutritt, sodass er mir nahen kann; denn wer sonst dürfte sein Leben wagen, um mir zu nahen? - Spruch des Herrn.
22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”	22 Ihr werdet mein Volk sein und ich werde euer Gott sein.
23 Behold the whirlwind of the Lord, his fury going forth, a destroying storm! It will rest upon the head of the impious.	23 Hört, der Sturm des Herrn [sein Grimm] bricht los. Ein Wirbelsturm braust hinweg über die Köpfe der Frevler.
24 The Lord will not turn back the wrath of his indignation, until he has accomplished and completed the plan of his heart. In the last days, you shall understand these things.	24 Der glühende Zorn des Herrn hört nicht auf, bis er die Pläne seines Herzens ausgeführt und vollbracht hat. Am Ende der Tage werdet ihr es klar erkennen.
