Leviticus 5

1 If a soul will have sinned, and heard the voice of one testifying under oath, and he is a witness because either he has seen it himself, or he is aware of it: if he does not reveal it, he shall carry his iniquity.	1 Se peccherà l'anima, e udirà la voce di colui che giurerà, e sarà testimonio che la vede o che l'hae udita; se non lo manifesta, sarà simile a colui che giura.
2 The soul that will have touched anything unclean, either that which has been killed by a beast, or that which has died on its own, or any other creeping thing, and will have forgotten its uncleanness, he is guilty and has committed a transgression.	2 E chi toccherà alcuna cosa immonda, ovvero cosa che sia stata morta da bestia, ovver che sia morta per sè, ovver cadauno serpente, e sarassi dimenticato della sua immondizia, avrà peccato rotto lo comandamento.
3 And if he will have touched anything from the uncleanness of man, according to every kind of impurity by which he may be defiled, and having forgotten it, afterwards realizes it, he shall be guilty of committing a transgression.	3 E se toccherà alcuna cosa di bruttezza di uomo, secondo tutte le immondizie con le quali si suole deturpare, e dimenticata poscia l'avrà cono sciuto, sarà sotto al peccato.
4 The soul who swears and offers from his own lips that he would do either evil or good, and who will have bound the same with an oath and with his own words, and, having forgotten it, afterwards understands his transgression,	4 L'anima che giurerà e proferirà colla sua bocca, sì che o ch' ell' abbia fatto male ovver bene, (e non lo farà) e quello istesso con giuramento o con parole affermerà, e dimenticata poscia intenderà lo suo peccato,
5 let him do penance for his sin,	5 facci penitenza per lo suo peccato,
6 and let him offer from the flocks a female lamb or a she-goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin.	6 e offera l'agnella ovvero capretta; lo prete pregherà per lui e per lo suo peccato.
7 But if he is not able to offer a beast, let him offer two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the Lord, one for sin, and the other for a holocaust.	7 Se non puote offerire pecora, offera due tortore o due pippioni a Dio, l'uno per lo peccato, e l'altro al sacrificio.
8 And he shall give them to the priest, who, offering the first for sin, shall twist back its head to the little wings, so that it adheres to the neck and is not entirely broken off.	8 E daragli al prete; ed egli lo primo offerendo per lo peccato, torceragli lo capo, e congiun gerallo al collo; e non rompendolo tutto,
9 And he shall sprinkle some of its blood at the side of the altar. But whatever will remain, he shall cause it to drip down to the base, because it is for sin.	9 dello sangue suo spargerà allo pariete dell' altare; tutto l'altro che soperchia, gittalo al fondamento dell' altare, perciò ch' è per peccato.
10 Yet truly, the other he shall burn as a holocaust, just as is usually done. And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, and he shall be released from it.	10 E l'altro farà ardere sopra l'altare del sacrificio secondo la consuetudine; e lo prete pregherà per lui e per lo suo peccato, e Iddio gli perdonerà.
11 But if his hand is unable to offer two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he shall offer, for his sin, the tenth part of an ephah of fine wheat flour. He shall not put oil in it, nor place upon it any frankincense, because it is for sin.	11 E se questo, cioè due tortore ovver due pippioni, non puote offerire, offera per lo suo peccato la decima parte di una misura di fior di farina, non vi mettendo olio, e nè punto d'incenso, perciò che per lo peccato si fa.
12 And he shall deliver it to the priest, who shall take a handful of it, and shall burn it upon the altar as a memorial for him who offered it,	12 E darallo al prete; ed egli di tutto ne piglierà pieno lo pugno, e porrallo sopra l'altare in memoria di colui che ha offerto,
13 praying for him and making atonement. Yet truly, the remaining part he himself shall have as a gift.	13 pregando per lui e mondando; l'altra parte sarà sua per la lemosina.
14 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	14 Parloe Iddio a Moisè, e disse:
15 If a soul, by mistake, shall have transgressed the ceremonies in those things that are sanctified to the Lord, he shall offer for his offense an immaculate ram from the flocks, such as can be bought for two shekels, according to the weight of the Sanctuary.	15 L'anima che prevaricherà le cerimonie per errore, se lei peccherà in quelle cose che sono santificate al Signore, per lo suo peccato offerrà l'agnello immacolato della greggia, il quale si puote compe rare per due sicli secondo il peso del santuario;
16 And he shall make restitution for the damage that he has brought, and he shall add a fifth part more, delivering it to the priest, who shall pray for him while offering the ram, and he shall be released from it.	16 sì che lo danno ch' è stato fatto sia resti tuito, e la quinta parte sopra darà al prete; ed egli pregherà per lui, offerendo l'agnello; e saragli per donato.
17 If a soul will have sinned through ignorance, and will have done one of those things which the law of the Lord prohibits, and, being guilty of sin, understands his iniquity,	17 E l'anima che per ignoranza peccherà una volta, e farà contro a quello che Iddio comanda nella legge, e conoscerà lo suo peccato,
18 he shall offer from the flocks an immaculate ram to the priest, according to the measure and estimation of the sin, who shall pray for him, because he did it unknowingly, and he shall be released from it,	18 offerrà al prete l'agnello della greggia senza macula; e sia secondo ch' è stato estimato lo peccato; egli pregherà per lui, però ch' egli non sapea che facesse, e saralli perdonato;
19 because by mistake he transgressed against the Lord.	19 però che per errore ha peccato contro al Signore.
