Isaiah 35

1 The desolate and impassable land will rejoice, and the place of solitude will exult, and it will flourish like the lily.	1 IL deserto, e il luogo asciutto si rallegreranno di queste cose; e la solitudine festeggerà, e fiorirà come una rosa.
2 It will spring up and blossom, and it will exult with rejoicing and praising. The glory of Lebanon has been given to it, with the beauty of Carmel and Sharon. These will see the glory of the Lord and the beauty of our God.	2 Fiorirà largamente, e festeggerà, eziandio con giubilo, e grida di allegrezza; la gloria del Libano, la magnificenza di Carmel, e di Saron, le sarà data; quei luoghi vedranno la gloria del Signore, la magnificenza del nostro Dio.
3 Strengthen the lax hands, and confirm the weak knees!	3 Confortate le mani fiacche, e fortificate le ginocchia vacillanti.
4 Say to the fainthearted: “Take courage and fear not! Behold, your God will bring the vindication of retribution. God himself will arrive to save you.”	4 Dite a quelli che sono smarriti d’animo: Confortatevi, non temiate; ecco l’Iddio vostro; la vendetta verrà, la retribuzione di Dio; egli stesso verrà, e vi salverà
5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be cleared.	5 Allora saranno aperti gli occhi de’ ciechi, e le orecchie de’ sordi saranno disserrate.
6 Then the disabled will leap like a buck, and the tongue of the mute will be untied. For the waters have burst forth in the desert, and torrents in solitary places.	6 Allora lo zoppo salterà come un cervo, e la lingua del mutolo canterà; perciocchè acque scoppieranno nel deserto, e torrenti nella solitudine.
7 And the land that was dry will have a pond, and the thirsty land will have fountains of water. In the hollows where the serpents lived before, there will rise up the greenery of reed and bulrush.	7 E il luogo arido diventerà uno stagno, e la terra asciutta vene di acque; il ricetto che accoglieva gli sciacalli diventerà un luogo da canne e giunchi.
8 And there shall be a path and a road in that place. And it will be called the Holy Way. The defiled will not pass through it. For this will be an upright path for you, so much so that the foolish will not wander along it.	8 E quivi sarà una strada, ed una via, che sarà chiamata: La via santa; gl’immondi non vi passeranno; anzi ella sarà per coloro; i viandanti e gli stolti non andranno più errando.
9 There will be no lions in that place, and harmful wild animals will neither climb up to it, nor be found there. Only those who have been freed will walk in that place.	9 Ivi non sarà leone, ed alcuna delle fiere rapaci non vi salirà, niuna vi se ne troverà; e quelli che saranno stati riscattati cammineranno per essa.
10 And the redeemed of the Lord will be converted, and they will return to Zion with praising. And everlasting joy will be upon their heads. They will obtain gladness and rejoicing. For pain and sorrow will flee away.	10 E quelli che dal Signore saranno stati riscattati ritorneranno, e verranno in Sion con canto; ed allegrezza eterna sarà sopra il capo di loro; otterranno gioia e letizia; e il dolore ed i gemiti fuggiranno
