Psalms 146

1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord, because the psalm is good. Delightful and beautiful praise shall be for our God.	1 Alleluia. Loda il Signore, anima mia.
2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem. He will gather together the dispersed of Israel.	2 Loderò il Signore finché avrò vita, inneggerò al mio Dio per tutta la mia esistenza.
3 He heals the contrite of heart, and he binds up their sorrows.	3 Non confidate nei potenti, in un figlio d'uomo che non dà salvezza.
4 He numbers the multitude of the stars, and he calls them all by their names.	4 Esala il suo spirito e ritorna alla terra: in quel giorno periscono i suoi disegni.
5 Great is our Lord, and great is his virtue. And of his wisdom, there is no number.	5 Beato colui che ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe, che ha per speranza il Signore suo Dio!
6 The Lord lifts up the meek, but he brings down the sinner, even to the ground.	6 Egli ha fatto cieli e terra, il mare e tutto ciò ch'esso contiene. Conserva la fedeltà per sempre.
7 Sing before the Lord with confession. Play psalms to our God on a stringed instrument.	7 Rende giustizia agli oppressi, dà il pane agli affamati; il Signore libera i prigionieri.
8 He covers heaven with clouds, and he prepares rain for the earth. He produces grass on the mountains and herbs for the service of men.	8 Il Signore ridona la vista ai ciechi, il Signore rialza quanti sono caduti, il Signore ama i giusti.
9 He gives their food to beasts of burden and to young ravens that call upon him.	9 Il Signore custodisce gli stranieri, sostiene l'orfano e la vedova, mentre sconvolge la via degli empi.
10 He will not have good will for the strength of the horse, nor will he be well pleased with the legs of a man.	10 Il Signore regnerà in eterno: il tuo Re, o Sion, di generazione in generazione.
11 The Lord is well pleased with those who fear him and with those who hope in his mercy.
