1 Continuing in a similar manner, Eliu had this to say:	1 Elihú tomó la palabra y dijo:
2 Bear with me for a little while and I will show you; for I have still more to say in favor of God.	2 Sopórtame un poco, y yo te instruiré: aún queda algo por decir en defensa de Dios.

7 He will not take his eyes away from the just, and he continually establishes kings on their throne, and they are exalted.	7 No retira sus ojos de los justos, los sienta en el trono con los reyes y los exalta para siempre.
8 And, if they are in captivity, or are bound with the chains of poverty,	8 Si a veces están atados con cadenas, o prisioneros en los lazos de opresión,

15 He will rescue the poor from his anguish, and he will open his ear during tribulation.	15 Con la opresión, él salva al oprimido y le abre el oído por medio de la aflicción.
16 Therefore, he will save you from the narrow mouth very widely, even though it has no foundation under it. Moreover, your respite at table will be full of fatness.	16 También a ti te invita a pasar de la angustia a un lugar espacioso y sin estrechez, donde tu mesa, bien servida, estará llena de manjares.
17 Your case has been judged like that of the impious; you will withdraw your plea and your judgment.	17 Pero si tu medida está colmada para el juicio condenatorio, el juicio y la sentencia te arrastrarán.
18 Therefore, do not let anger overwhelm you so that you oppress another; neither should you allow a multitude of gifts to influence you.	18 Que el furor no te incite a la rebeldía ni te extravíe la magnitud de la expiación.
19 Lay down your greatness without distress, and put aside all of your power with courage.	19 ¿Acaso en el peligro valdrán ante Dios tus riquezas y todos los alardes de la fuerza?
20 Do not prolong the night, even if people rise on their behalf.	20 No suspires por aquella noche en que los pueblos serán arrancados de su sitio,
21 Be careful that you do not turn to iniquity; for, after your misery, you have begun to follow this.	21 ¡Cuídate de volverte hacia la maldad, ya que por eso fuiste probado con la desgracia!
22 Behold, God is exalted in his strength, and there is no one like him among the law-givers.	22 Sí, Dios es sublime por la fuerza: ¿quién instruye como él?
23 Who is able to investigate his ways? And who can say, “You have done iniquity,” to him?	23 ¿Quién inspecciona su conducta? ¿Quién puede decirle: «Has obrado mal»?
24 Remember that you are ignorant of his work, yet men have sung its praises.	24 Acuérdate más bien de exaltar su obra, que otros hombres celebren con sus cantos.
25 All men consider him; and each one ponders from a distance.	25 Todo el mundo la contempla, el hombre la percibe desde lejos.
26 Behold, God is great, defeating our knowledge; the number of his years is inestimable.	26 Sí, Dios es tan grande que no podemos comprenderlo, el número de sus años es insondable.
27 He carries away the drops of rain, and he sends forth showers like a raging whirlpool;	27 El atrae hacia lo alto las gotas de agua y destila la lluvia que alimenta las vertientes:
28 they flow from the clouds that are woven above everything.	28 la lluvia que derraman las nubes y que cae a raudales sobre el suelo.
29 If he wills it, he extends the clouds as his tent	29 ¿Quién comprenderá el desplazamiento de las nubes y el fragor que sale de su morada?
30 and shines with his light from above; likewise, he covers the oceans within his tent.	30 El extiende su luz a su alrededor y sumerge las profundidades del océano.
31 For he judges the people by these things, and he gives food to a multitude of mortals.	31 Así él sustenta a los pueblos y les da alimento en abundancia.
32 Within his hands, he hides the light, and he commands it to come forth again.	32 Cubre de rayos la palma de sus manos y le señala un blanco seguro.
33 He announces it to his friend, for it is his possession and he is able to reach out to it.	33 Su trueno anuncia su llegada, y en su ira, él crea la tempestad.
