Nehemiah 11

1 Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem. Yet truly, the remainder of the people cast lots, so that they might choose one part in ten who were to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts for the other cities.	1 OR i principali del popolo abitarono in Gerusalemme; e il rimanente del popolo tirò le sorti, per trarre delle dieci parti del popolo una, che abitasse in Gerusalemme, città santa; e le altre nove, nelle altre città.
2 Then the people blessed all the men who freely offered themselves to live in Jerusalem.	2 E il popolo benedisse tutti coloro che volontariamente si presentarono ad abitare in Gerusalemme.
3 And so these are the leaders of the province, who were living in Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah. Now each one lived in his possession, in their cities: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the sons of the servants of Solomon.	3 Or costoro sono i principali della provincia, i quali abitarono in Gerusalemme; gli altri, Israeliti, sacerdoti, Leviti, Netinei, e figliuoli de’ servi di Salomone, essendosi ridotti ad abitar nelle città di Giuda, ciascuno nella sua possessione, per le lor città.
4 And in Jerusalem, there lived some of the sons of Judah, and some of the sons of Benjamin: of the sons of Judah, Athaiah, the son of Aziam, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;	4 In Gerusalemme adunque abitarono de’ figliuoli di Giuda, e de’ figliuoli di Beniamino. De’ figliuoli di Giuda: Ataia, figliuolo di Uzzia, figliuolo di Zaccaria, figliuolo di Amaria, figliuolo di Sefatia, figliuolo di Mahalaleel, d’infra i figliuoli di Fares;
5 Maaseiah, the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of a Silonite.	5 e Maaseia, figliuolo di Baruc, figliuolo di Col-hoze, figliuolo di Hazaia, figliuolo di Adaia, figliuolo di Ioiarib, figliuolo di Zaccaria, figliuolo di Siloni;
6 All these sons of Perez lived in Jerusalem, four hundred sixty-eight strong men.	6 tutti i figliuoli di Fares che abitarono in Gerusalemme, furono quattrocensessantotto uomini di valore.
7 Now these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah;	7 E d’infra i figliuoli di Beniamino, costoro: Sallu, figliuolo di Mesullam, figliuolo di Ioed, figliuolo di Pedaia, figliuolo di Colaia, figliuolo di Maaseia, figliuolo d’Itiel, figliuolo d’Isaia;

12 and their brothers, who were doing the works of the temple: eight hundred twenty-two. 14 and their brothers, who were very powerful: one hundred twenty-eight. And their foremost leader was Zabdiel, the son of the powerful.	14 co’ lor fratelli, uomini di valore, in numero di cenventotto; e Zabdiel, figliuolo di Ghedolim, era costituito sopra loro.
15 And from the Levites, there were Shemaiah, the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni,	15 E de’ Leviti: Semaia, figliuolo di Hassub, figliuolo di Azricam, figliuolo di Hasabia, figliuolo di Buni;
16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, who were over all the works which were exterior to the house of God, from among the leaders of the Levites.	16 e Sabbetai, e Iozabad, d’infra i capi de’ Leviti, erano ordinati sopra l’opera di fuori della Casa di Dio.
17 And Mattaniah, the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the leader of praise and confession in prayer, with Bakbukiah, second among his brothers, and Abda, the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.	17 E Mattania, figliuolo di Mica, figliuolo di Zabdi, figliuolo di Asaf, era il capo dei cantori, il quale intonava le laudi nel tempo dell’orazione; e Bacbuchia, il secondo d’infra i fratelli di quello; ed Abda, figliuolo di Sammua, figliuolo di Galal, figliuolo di Iedutun.
18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.	18 Tutti i Leviti che abitarono nella città santa, erano dugentottantaquattro.
19 And the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who guarded the doorways, were one hundred seventy-two.	19 E de’ portinai: Accub, Talmon, co’ lor fratelli, che facevano la guardia alle porte; in numero di censettantadue
20 And the remainder of Israel, the priests and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, each one in his own possession.	20 E il rimanente degl’Israeliti, de’ sacerdoti, e de’ Leviti, abitò per tutte le città di Giuda, ciascuno nella sua possessione.
21 And the temple servants were living at Ophel, with Ziha and Gishpa, of the temple servants.	21 Ma i Netinei abitarono in Ofel; e Siha, e Ghispa, erano sopra i Netinei.
22 And the director of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi, the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica. The singing men in the ministry of the house of God were from the sons of Asaph.	22 E colui che avea la soprantendenza sopra i Leviti, in Gerusalemme, era Uzzi, figliuolo di Bani, figliuolo di Hasabia, figliuolo di Mattania, figliuolo di Mica. E i cantori, de’ figliuoli di Asaf, doveano esser del continuo presenti all’opera della Casa di Dio.
23 In fact, there was a precept of the king about them, and an order among the singing men, throughout each day.	23 Perciocchè v’era per li cantori ordine del re, e vi era una provvisione assegnata per loro, giorno per giorno.
24 And Pethahiah, the son of Meshezabel, from the sons of Zerah, the son of Judah, was at the hand of the king concerning every word of the people,	24 E Petahia, figliuolo di Mesezabeel, de’ figliuoli di Zera, figliuolo di Giuda, era commessario del re, in ogni affare del re col popolo.
25 and in the houses throughout all their regions. Some of the sons of Judah lived at Kiriatharba and in its daughter villages, and at Dibon and in its daughter villages, and at Jekabzeel and in its vicinity,	25 Ora, quant’è alle villate, co’ lor contadi, quelli ch’erano de’ figliuoli di Giuda abitarono in Chiriat-Arba, e nelle terre del suo territorio; e in Dibon, e nelle terre del suo territorio; e in Iecabseel, e nelle sue villate;
26 and at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethpelet,	26 e in Iesua, e in Molada, e in Bet-pelet,
27 and at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba and in its daughter villages,	27 e in Hasarsual, e in Beerseba, e ne’ luoghi del suo territorio;
28 and at Ziklag, and at Meconah and in its daughter villages,	28 e in Siclag, e in Mecona, e ne’ luoghi del suo territorio;
29 and at Enrimmon, and at Zorah, and at Jarmuth,	29 e in Enrimmon, e in Sorea,
30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish and its regions, and at Azekah and in its daughter villages. And they dwelt from Beersheba as far as the valley of Hinnom.	30 e in Iarmut, in Zanoa, in Adullam, e nelle lor villate; in Lachis, e nel suo contado; in Azeca, e ne’ luoghi del suo territorio. 32 to Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,	32 in Anatot, in Nob, in Anania,
33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,	33 in Hasor, in Rama, in Ghittaim,
34 Hadid, Zeboim, and Neballat, Lod,	34 in Hadid, in Seboim, in Neballat,
35 and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.	35 in Lod, ed in Ono, valle de’ fabbri.
36 And some of the Levites were apportioned with Judah and Benjamin.	36 E i Leviti furono spartiti fra Guida e Beniamino
