Zechariah 10

1 Ask of the LORD rain in the spring season! It is the LORD who makes storm clouds. And sends men the pouring rain; for everyone, grassy fields.	1 - Domandate al Signore la pioggia ultima della stagione; e il Signore, che produce i lampi, darà una pioggia copiosa e a ciascuno erba nel campo.
2 For the teraphim speak nonsense, the diviners have false visions: Deceitful dreams they tell, empty comfort they offer. This is why they wander like sheep, wretched: they have no shepherd.	2 Perchè i simulacri hanno detto cose futili; e gli indovini hanno fatto previsioni false; e gli interpreti di sogni hanno parlato inutilmente cercando invano di rassicurare: giacchè furono menati via, come un gregge di pecore e maltrattati, perchè non avevano pastore.
3 My wrath is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; For the LORD of hosts will visit his flock, the house of Judah, and make them his stately war horse.	3 Contro i pastori si è acceso il mio furore, e visiterò i capri! Perchè il Signore degli eserciti ha visitato il suo gregge, la casa di Giuda, e ne farà il suo cavallo di parata in battaglia.
4 From him shall come leader and chief, from him warrior's bow and every officer.	4 Da lui l'angolo, da lui il piuolo, da lui l'arco di battaglia, da lui usciranno parimenti tutte le autorità.
5 They shall all be warriors, trampling the mire of the streets in battle; They shall wage war because the LORD is with them, and shall put the horsemen to rout.	5 E saranno come guerrieri che pestano i nemici in battaglia come il fango delle strade e combatteranno, perchè il Signore è con loro; e quelli che montano cavalli resteranno confusi.
6 I will strengthen the house of Judah, the house of Joseph I will save; I will bring them back, because I have mercy on them, they shall be as though I had never cast them off, for I am the LORD, their God, and I will hear them.	6 E renderò forte la casa di Giuda, e salverò la casa di Giuseppe; e li farò ritornare, perchè avrò pietà di loro e saranno quali erano una volta, quando non li avevo ancor rigettati; giacchè io sono il Signore Dio loro e li esaudirò.
7 Then Ephraim shall be valiant men, and their hearts shall be cheered as by wine. Their children shall see it and be glad, their hearts shall rejoice in the LORD.	7 E saranno come i guerrieri di Efraim, e il loro cuore sarà esilarato come dal vino, e i loro figli vedranno e si rallegreranno, e il loro cuore esulterà nel Signore.
8 I will whistle for them to come together, and when I redeem them they will be as numerous as before.	8 Io manderò un sibilo e li raccoglierò, perchè li ho riscattati e li moltiplicherò rendendoli numerosi come prima.
9 I sowed them among the nations, yet in distant lands they remember me; they shall rear their children and return.	9 E li seminerò tra i popoli, e da lontano si ricorderanno di me e vivranno coi loro figli e poi torneranno.
10 I will bring them back from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them into Gilead and into Lebanon, but these shall not suffice them;	10 E li ricondurrò dalla terra di Egitto, e dall'Assiria li raccoglierò e li condurrò nella terra di Galaad e del Libano, e non si troverà abbastanza luogo per essi.
11 I will cross over to Egypt and smite the waves of the sea and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up. The pride of Assyria shall be cast down, and the scepter of Egypt taken away.	11 E il Signore varcherà lo stretto del mare, e percoterà le onde del mare, e tutti i profondi gorghi del fiume saranno in confusione, e sarà abbassata la superbia di Assur, e lo scettro di Egitto si ritirerà.
12 I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they shall walk in his name, says the LORD.	12 Li renderò forti nel Signore, e nel nome suo cammineranno, dice il Signore. -
