Ezekiel 15

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 Son of man, what makes the wood of the vine better than any other wood? That branch among the trees of the forest!	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, cos'è mai il legno della vite rispetto a tutto l'altro legname che c'è nella foresta?
3 Can you use its wood to make anything worthwhile? Can you make even a peg from it, to hang on it any kind of vessel?	3 Se ne prende forse il legno per fare qualche lavoro? Ne prendono un pezzo anche solo per appendervi qualcosa?
4 If you throw it on the fire as fuel and the fire devours both ends and even the middle is scorched, is it still good for anything?	4 Vedi? Lo si getta nel fuoco a bruciare. Quando il fuoco ne avesse bruciato i due estremi, forse il centro è destinato alla lavorazione?
5 Why, even when it was whole it was good for nothing; how much less, when the fire has devoured and scorched it, can it be used for anything!	5 Se quand'era sano non si usava per alcun lavoro, adesso che il fuoco l'ha distrutto ed è bruciato, vuoi che sia usato per qualche lavoro?
6 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have destined as fuel for the fire, do I make the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	6 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Come il legno di vite, tra il legname della foresta, è destinato ad essere distrutto dal fuoco, così tratto gli abitanti di Gerusalemme.
7 I will set my face against them; they have escaped from the fire, but the fire shall devour them. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD, when I turn my face against them.	7 Mi volgerò contro di essi: sono scampati da un fuoco, ma l'altro li distruggerà. Riconoscerete che io sono il Signore, quando fisserò contro di loro il mio sguardo
8 I will make the land a waste, because they have broken faith, says the Lord GOD.	8 e renderò il paese una desolazione, perché hanno prevaricato, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".
