1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
2 "Speak to Aaron and his sons, as well as to all the Israelites, and tell them: This is what the LORD has commanded.	2 Parla ad Aronne, e a' suoi figliuoli, e a tutti i figliuoli d'Israele: e di' loro: Questo è il comando del Signore: egli ha detto.
3 Any Israelite who slaughters an ox or a sheep or a goat, whether in the camp or outside of it,	3 Un uomo chiunque egli sia della stirpe d'Israele, se ucciderà un bue, o una pecora, o una capra negli alloggiamenti, o fuori degli alloggiamenti,
4 without first bringing it to the entrance of the meeting tent to present it as an offering to the LORD in front of his Dwelling, shall be judged guilty of bloodshed; and for this, such a man shall be cut off from among his people.	4 E non presenterà la sua obblazione al Signore alla porta del tabernacolo, sarà reo di morte: sarà sterminato dalla società del suo popolo, come se avesse fatto omicidio.
5 Therefore, such sacrifices as they used to offer up in the open field the Israelites shall henceforth offer to the LORD, bringing them to the priest at the entrance of the meeting tent and sacrificing them there as peace offerings to the LORD.	5 Quindi è che i figliuoli d’Israele debbono offerire al sacerdote le loro vittime uccise da loro alla campagna, affinché sieno consacrate al Signore dinanzi alla porta del tabernacolo del testimonio, e sieno immolate al Signore in ostie di pace.
6 The priest shall splash the blood on the altar of the LORD at the entrance of the meeting tent and there burn the fat for an odor pleasing to the LORD.	6 E il sacerdote ne spargerà il sangue sull’altare del Signore alla porta del tabernacolo del testimonio, e farà bruciare il grasso in odore soave al Signore:
7 No longer shall they offer their sacrifices to the satyrs to whom they used to render their wanton worship. This shall be an everlasting ordinance for them and their descendants.	7 E non immoleranno più le loro ostie a' demoni, co' quali hanno avuto impuro commercio. Ella è legge eterna per essi, e pe' loro posteri.
8 "Tell them, therefore: Anyone, whether of the house of Israel or of the aliens residing among them, who offers a holocaust or sacrifice	8 E tu dirai loro: Qualunque uomo della casa d'Israele, o straniero, che abiti tra di voi, il quale offerisca olocausto, o vittima,
9 without bringing it to the entrance of the meeting tent to offer it to the LORD, shall be cut off from his kinsmen.	9 E non la conduce alla porta del tabernacolo del testimonio, perché sia offerta al Signore, sarà sterminato dalla società del suo popolo.
10 And if anyone, whether of the house of Israel or of the aliens residing among them, partakes of any blood, I will set myself against that one who partakes of blood and will cut him off from among his people.	10 Qualunque uomo della casa d'Israele, o forestiere, che abiti tra di loro, se mangerà del sangue, fisserò l’irato mio sguardo sopra l'anima di colui, e lo sterminerò dalla società del suo popolo;
11 Since the life of a living body is in its blood, I have made you put it on the altar, so that atonement may thereby be made for your own lives, because it is the blood, as the seat of life, that makes atonement.	11 Perocché l'anima dell'animale sta nel sangue: e io l'ho dato a voi affinché con esso sopra l’altare espiar possiate l’anime vostre, e il sangue serva all’espiazione dell'anima.
12 That is why I have told the Israelites: No one among you, not even a resident alien, may partake of blood.	12 Per questo ho detto ai figliuoli d'Israele: Nessun di voi mangerà del sangue, né alcuno de' forestieri che abitano tra di voi.
13 "Anyone hunting, whether of the Israelites or of the aliens residing among them, who catches an animal or a bird that may be eaten, shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.	13 Se alcuno de' figliuoli d'Israele, e de' forestieri che abitan tra di voi, prende alla caccia, o all’uccelliere una bestia, o un uccello di que’ che è lecito di mangiare, ne sparga il sangue, e lo copra colla terra:
14 Since the life of every living body is its blood, I have told the Israelites: You shall not partake of the blood of any meat. Since the life of every living body is its blood, anyone who partakes of it shall be cut off.	14 Perocché la vita d'ogni animale sta nel sangue: per questo ho detto a' figliuoli d'Israele: Non mangerete il sangue di verun animale; perché la vita dell'animale è nel sangue: e chiunque ne mangia, perirà.
15 "Everyone, whether a native or an alien, who eats of an animal that died of itself or was killed by a wild beast, shall wash his garments, bathe in water, and be unclean until evening, and then he will be clean.	15 Qualunque persona o della nazione, o forestiero, che mangerà d'un animale morto da sé, o straziato da una fiera, laverà le sue vesti e il corpo nell'acqua, e sarà immondo fino alla sera: e con questo sarà mondo.
16 If he does not wash or does not bathe his body, he shall have the guilt to bear."	16 Ma se non lava le sue vesti, e il suo corpo, pagherà il fio della sua iniquità.
