Isaiah 56

1 Thus says the LORD: Observe what is right, do what is just; for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed.	1 Così parla il Signore: "Osservate il diritto e praticate la giustizia, perché la mia salvezza è prossima a venire, e la mia giustizia è sul punto di rivelarsi".
2 Happy is the man who does this, the son of man who holds to it; Who keeps the sabbath free from profanation, and his hand from any evildoing.	2 Beato l'uomo che agisce così, e il figlio dell'uomo che vi aderisce fermamente, che osserva il sabato senza profanarlo, e che trattiene la sua mano dal compiere qualsiasi male.
3 Let not the foreigner say, when he would join himself to the LORD, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "See, I am a dry tree."	3 Non dica lo straniero, che si è unito al Signore, così: "Mi separerà certamente il Signore dal suo popolo". E non dica l'eunuco: "Ecco, io sono un albero secco!".
4 For thus says the LORD: To the eunuchs who observe my sabbaths and choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant,	4 Poiché così parla il Signore: "Agli eunuchi che osservano i miei sabati, prediligono quello che è di mio gusto e tengono fermamente alla mia alleanza,
5 I will give, in my house and within my walls, a monument and a name Better than sons and daughters; an eternal, imperishable name will I give them.	5 darò loro nella mia casa un nome ed entro le mie mura un monumento migliore dei figli e delle figlie; darò loro un nome sempiterno, che non sarà mai soppresso.
6 And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, ministering to him, Loving the name of the LORD, and becoming his servants-- All who keep the sabbath free from profanation and hold to my covenant,	6 Gli stranieri che aderirono al Signore per servirlo, per amare il nome del Signore e diventare suoi servi, tutti quelli che osservano il sabato evitandone la profanazione e tengono fermamente alla mia alleanza,
7 Them I will bring to my holy mountain and make joyful in my house of prayer; Their holocausts and sacrifices will be acceptable on my altar, For my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.	7 io li condurrò sul mio santo monte e li colmerò di gioia nella mia casa di preghiera. I loro olocausti e i loro sacrifici saranno graditi sul mio altare, perché la mia casa sarà chiamata casa di preghiera per tutti i popoli".
8 Thus says the Lord GOD, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: Others will I gather to him besides those already gathered.	8 Oracolo del Signore Dio, che raccoglie i dispersi di Israele: "Io raccoglierò ancora altri, oltre a quelli già radunati".
9 All you wild beasts of the field, come and eat, all you beasts in the forest!	9 Bestie tutte dei campi, venite per divorare, bestie tutte della foresta!
10 My watchmen are blind, all of them unaware; They are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; Dreaming as they lie there, loving their sleep.	10 I suoi guardiani sono tutti ciechi, non comprendono nulla. Tutti sono cani muti, incapaci di latrare; sognano, accovacciati, amando di sonnecchiare.
11 They are relentless dogs, they know not when they have enough. These are the shepherds who know no discretion; Each of them goes his own way, every one of them to his own gain:	11 Sono cani avidi, non conoscono la sazietà, sono pastori che non capiscono nulla; seguono tutti la loro via, ognuno il proprio profitto, senza eccezione.
12 "Come, I will fetch some wine; let us carouse with strong drink, And tomorrow will be like today, or even greater."	12 "Venite, prenderò del vino: inebriamoci di bevanda inebriante; domani sarà come oggi, grande abbondanza, e più ancora!".
