Isaiah 34

1 Come near, O nations, and hear; be attentive, O peoples! Let the earth and what fills it listen, the world and all it produces.	1 Приступите, народы, слушайте и внимайте, племена! да слышит земля и всё, что наполняет ее, вселенная и всё рождающееся в ней!
2 The LORD is angry with all the nations and is wrathful against all their host; he has doomed them and given them over to slaughter.	2 Ибо гнев Господа на все народы, и ярость Его на все воинство их. Он предал их заклятию, отдал их на заклание.
3 Their slain shall be cast out, their corpses shall send up a stench; The mountains shall run with their blood,	3 И убитые их будут разбросаны, и от трупов их поднимется смрад, и горы размокнут от крови их.
4 and all the hills shall rot; The heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll, and all their host shall wither away, As the leaf wilts on the vine, or as the fig withers on the tree.	4 И истлеет все небесное воинство; и небеса свернутся, как свиток книжный; и все воинство их падет, как спадает лист с виноградной лозы, и как увядший лист--со смоковницы.
5 When my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens, lo, it shall come down in judgment upon Edom, a people I have doomed.	5 Ибо упился меч Мой на небесах: вот, для суда нисходит он на Едом и на народ, преданный Мною заклятию.
6 The LORD has a sword filled with blood, greasy with fat, With the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of rams' kidneys; For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, a great slaughter in the land of Edom.	6 Меч Господа наполнится кровью, утучнеет от тука, от крови агнцев и козлов, от тука с почек овнов: ибо жертва у Господа в Восоре и большое заклание в земле Едома.
7 Wild oxen shall be struck down with fatlings, and bullocks with bulls; Their land shall be soaked with blood, and their earth greasy with fat.	7 И буйволы падут с ними и тельцы вместе с волами, и упьется земля их кровью, и прах их утучнеет от тука.
8 For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of requital by Zion's defender.	8 Ибо день мщения у Господа, год возмездия за Сион.
9 Edom's streams shall be changed into pitch and her earth into sulphur, and her land shall become burning pitch;	9 И превратятся реки его в смолу, и прах его--в серу, и будет земля его горящею смолою:
10 Night and day it shall not be quenched, its smoke shall rise forever. From generation to generation she shall lie waste, never again shall anyone pass through her.	10 не будет гаснуть ни днем, ни ночью; вечно будет восходить дым ее; будет от рода в род оставаться опустелою; во веки веков никто не пройдет по ней;
11 But the desert owl and hoot owl shall possess her, the screech owl and raven shall dwell in her. The LORD will measure her with line and plummet to be an empty waste for satyrs to dwell in.	11 и завладеют ею пеликан и еж; и филин и ворон поселятся в ней; и протянут по ней вервь разорения и отвес уничтожения.
12 Her nobles shall be no more, nor shall kings be proclaimed there; all her princes are gone.	12 Никого не останется там из знатных ее, кого можно было бы призвать на царство, и все князья ее будут ничто.
13 Her castles shall be overgrown with thorns, her fortresses with thistles and briers. She shall become an abode for jackals and a haunt for ostriches.	13 И зарастут дворцы ее колючими растениями, крапивою и репейником--твердыни ее; и будет она жилищем шакалов, пристанищем страусов.
14 Wildcats shall meet with desert beasts, satyrs shall call to one another; There shall the lilith repose, and find for herself a place to rest.	14 И звери пустыни будут встречаться с дикими кошками, и лешие будут перекликаться один с другим; там будет отдыхать ночное привидение и находить себе покой.
15 There the hoot owl shall nest and lay eggs, hatch them out and gather them in her shadow; There shall the kites assemble, none shall be missing its mate.	15 Там угнездится летучий змей, будет класть яйца и выводить детей и собирать их под тень свою; там и коршуны будут собираться один к другому.
16 Look in the book of the LORD and read: No one of these shall be lacking, For the mouth of the LORD has ordered it, and his spirit shall gather them there.	16 Отыщите в книге Господней и прочитайте; ни одно из сих не преминет придти, и одно другим не заменится. Ибо сами уста Его повелели, и сам дух Его соберет их.
17 It is he who casts the lot for them, and with his hands he marks off their shares of her; They shall possess her forever, and dwell there from generation to generation.	17 И Сам Он бросил им жребий, и Его рука разделила им ее мерою; во веки будут они владеть ею, из рода в род будут жить на ней.
