1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;	1 Figyelmetekbe ajánlom, testvérek, az evangéliumot, amelyet hirdettem nektek, amelyet el is fogadtatok, és amelyben álltok.
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.	2 Általa üdvözülni is fogtok, ha megtartjátok úgy, ahogy hirdettem nektek, különben hiába lettetek volna hívőkké.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;	3 Mert mindenekelőtt azt adtam át nektek, amit én is kaptam: hogy Krisztus meghalt a bűneinkért az Írások szerint,
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:	4 eltemették, és harmadnapon feltámadt, az Írások szerint.
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:	5 Megjelent Kéfásnak, majd a tizenkettőnek.
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.	6 Azután megjelent több, mint ötszáz testvérnek egyszerre, akik közül a legtöbben még élnek, egyesek pedig elszenderültek.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.	7 Azután megjelent Jakabnak, majd valamennyi apostolnak.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.	8 Mindnyájuk után pedig mint koraszülöttnek, megjelent nekem is.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.	9 Mert én a legkisebb vagyok az apostolok között, arra sem vagyok méltó, hogy apostolnak nevezzenek, mert üldöztem Isten egyházát.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.	10 De Isten kegyelméből vagyok az, ami vagyok, és nekem juttatott kegyelme nem volt hiábavaló. Sőt, valamennyiüknél többet munkálkodtam, bár nem én, hanem Isten kegyelme velem együtt.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.	11 Tehát akár én, akár ők, így hirdetjük, és ti így lettetek hívőkké.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Ha tehát Krisztusról az hirdetjük, hogy a halottak közül feltámadt, hogyan mondják egyesek közületek, hogy nincs halottak feltámadása?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:	13 Mert ha nincs halottak feltámadása, akkor Krisztus sem támadt fel!
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.	14 Ha pedig Krisztus nem támadt fel, akkor hiábavaló a mi igehirdetésünk, és hiábavaló a ti hitetek is.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.	15 Sőt, Isten hamis tanúinak is bizonyulunk, mert tanúságot tettünk Isten ellen, hogy feltámasztotta Krisztust, pedig nem is támasztotta fel, ha a halottak valóban nem támadnak fel.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:	16 Mert ha a halottak nem támadnak fel, Krisztus sem támadt fel.
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.	17 Ha pedig Krisztus nem támadt fel, hiábavaló a ti hitetek, és még mindig bűneitekben vagytok.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.	18 Sőt, akkor azok is, akik Krisztusban elszenderültek, elvesztek.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.	19 Ha csak ebben az életben reménykedünk Krisztusban, nyomorultabbak vagyunk minden más embernél.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.	20 Krisztus azonban feltámadt a halottak közül, mint az elszenderültek zsengéje.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.	21 Mert amint egy ember által lett a halál, úgy egy ember által lett a halottak feltámadása is.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.	22 Amint ugyanis Ádámban mindnyájan meghalnak, úgy Krisztusban mindnyájan életre fognak kelni.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.	23 Mindenki a maga rendje szerint: elsőként Krisztus; azután azok, akik Krisztuséi, az ő eljövetelekor.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.	24 Azután jön a vég, amikor majd átadja az uralmat az Atyaistennek, miután megsemmisített minden fejedelemséget, minden hatalmasságot és erőt.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.	25 Mert addig kell neki uralkodnia, amíg ellenségeit mind a lába alá nem veti .
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.	26 Mint utolsó ellenséget, a halált semmisíti meg,
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.	27 mert mindent lába alá vetett. Amikor azonban ezt mondja: »Minden alá van vetve« , kétségtelenül kivétel az, aki mindent alávetett neki.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.	28 Mikor pedig minden alá lesz vetve neki, akkor a Fiú maga is aláveti magát annak, aki mindent alávetett neki, hogy Isten legyen minden mindenben.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?	29 Hisz különben mit csinálnak azok, akik megkeresztelkednek a halottakért? Ha a halottak egyáltalán nem támadnak fel, miért keresztelkednének meg értük?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?	30 Miért tesszük ki mi is magunkat veszélynek minden órában?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.	31 Nap mint nap meghalok, olyan igaz ez, testvérek, mint a veletek való dicsekvésem Krisztus Jézusban, a mi Urunkban.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.	32 Ha – emberileg szólva – vadállatokkal küzdöttem Efezusban, mit használ nekem? Ha a halottak nem támadnak fel, akkor csak »együnk és igyunk, mert holnap meghalunk« .
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.	33 Ne engedjétek magatokat félrevezetni: »A gonosz társaság megrontja a jó erkölcsöt.«
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.	34 Józanodjatok ki teljesen, és ne vétkezzetek! Némelyek ugyanis nem ismerik Istent. Azért mondom ezt, hogy szégyelljétek magatokat!
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?	35 Azt mondhatná azonban valaki: »Hogyan támadnak fel a halottak? Milyen testtel jönnek majd elő?«
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:	36 Balga! Amit vetsz, nem kel életre, ha előbb meg nem hal.
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:	37 És amikor vetsz, nem a leendő növényt veted el, hanem a puszta magot, például a búzáét vagy másét.
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.	38 Isten pedig alakot ad annak, amint akarja, mégpedig minden egyes magnak saját alakot.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.	39 Nem minden test ugyanaz a test, hanem más az embereké, és más az állatoké, más a madaraké, és más a halaké.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.	40 És vannak égi testek és földi testek, de más az égiek fényessége, és más a földieké.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.	41 Más a fényessége a napnak, más a fényessége a holdnak, és más a fényessége a csillagoknak. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:	42 Így van a halottak feltámadása is: romlandó testet vetnek el, és romolhatatlan test támad fel;
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:	43 szégyenben vetik el, és dicsőségben támad fel; gyöngeségben vetik el, s erőben támad fel;
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.	44 érzéki testet vetnek el, és lelki test támad fel. Ha van érzéki test, van lelki test is.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.	45 Ezt mondja az Írás is: »Ádám, az első ember élő lénnyé lett« , az utolsó Ádám pedig éltető Lélekké.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.	46 De nem a lelki az első, hanem az érzéki, csak azután a lelki.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.	47 Az első ember a földből való, földi , a második ember a mennyből való.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.	48 Amilyen a földi, olyanok a földiek is, és amilyen a mennyei, olyanok a mennyeiek is.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.	49 És amint hordtuk a földi ember képét, úgy hordani fogjuk a mennyeinek képét is.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.	50 Mondom pedig, testvérek, hogy test és vér nem örökölheti Isten országát, sem a romlandóság nem fogja örökölni a romolhatatlanságot.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,	51 Íme, titkot mondok nektek: Nem fogunk ugyan mindnyájan meghalni, de mindnyájan el fogunk változni:
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.	52 hirtelen, egy szempillantás alatt, a végső harsonaszóra, mert megszólal a harsona, és a halottak feltámadnak romolhatatlan állapotban, mi pedig elváltozunk.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.	53 Mert ennek a romlandó testnek romolhatatlanságba kell öltöznie, és ennek a halandó testnek halhatatlanságba kell öltöznie.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.	54 Amikor pedig ez a romlandó test romolhatatlanságba öltözik, és ez a halandó halhatatlanságba, akkor beteljesedik az ige, amely írva van: »Elnyelte a halált a diadal.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?	55 Halál, hol a te győzelmed? Halál, hol a te fullánkod?«
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.	56 A halál fullánkja a bűn, a bűn ereje pedig a törvény.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 De hála Istennek, aki megadta nekünk a győzelmet a mi Urunk Jézus Krisztus által.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.	58 Tehát, szeretett testvéreim, legyetek állhatatosak, rendíthetetlenek, tegyetek mindig többet az Úrért, hiszen tudjátok, hogy munkátok nem hiábavaló az Úrban.
