Livre d'Ézéchiel 28

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Fils d'homme, dis au prince de Tyr: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce que ton coeur s'estenorgueilli, tu as dit: "Je suis un dieu, j'habite une demeure divine, au coeur de la mer." Alors que tu es unhomme et non un dieu, tu te fais un coeur semblable au coeur de Dieu.	2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.
3 Voilà que tu es plus sage que Danel; pas un sage n'est semblable à toi.	3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!
4 Par ta sagesse et ton intelligence, tu t'es fait une fortune, tu as mis or et argent dans tes trésors.	4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.
5 Si grande est ton habileté dans le commerce! tu as multiplié ta fortune, et ton coeur s'estenorgueilli de ta fortune.	5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.
6 C'est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce que tu t'es fait un coeur semblable au coeurde Dieu,	6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,
7 eh bien! voici que je fais venir contre toi des étrangers, les plus barbares des nations. Ils tirerontl'épée contre ta belle sagesse, ils profaneront ta splendeur.	7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,
8 Ils te feront choir dans la fosse et tu mourras de mort violente au coeur des mers.	8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.
9 Diras-tu encore: "Je suis un dieu", en face de tes meurtriers? Car tu es un homme et non un dieu,entre les mains de ceux qui te transpercent.	9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!
10 Tu mourras de la mort des incirconcis, par la main des étrangers, car moi j'ai parlé, oracle deYahvé.	10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '
11 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
12 Fils d'homme, prononce une complainte contre le roi de Tyr. Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle le SeigneurYahvé. Tu étais un modèle de perfection, plein de sagesse, merveilleux de beauté,	12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;
13 tu étais en Eden, au jardin de Dieu. Toutes sortes de pierres précieuses formaient ton manteau:sardoine, topaze, diamant, chrysolithe, onyx, jaspe, saphir, escarboucle, émeraude, d'or étaient travaillées tespendeloques et tes paillettes; tout cela fut préparé au jour de ta création.	13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.
14 Toi, j'avais fait de toi un chérubin protecteur aux ailes déployées, tu étais sur la sainte montagnede Dieu, tu marchais au milieu des charbons ardents.	14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.
15 Ta conduite fut exemplaire depuis le jour de ta création jusqu'à ce que fût trouvée en toil'injustice.	15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,
16 Par l'activité de ton commerce, tu t'es rempli de violence et de péchés. Je t'ai précipité de lamontagne de Dieu et je t'ai fait périr, chérubin protecteur, du milieu des charbons.	16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.
17 Ton coeur s'est enorgueilli à cause de ta beauté. Tu as corrompu ta sagesse à cause de ton éclat.Je t'ai jeté à terre, je t'ai offert en spectacle aux rois.	17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.
18 Par la multitude de tes fautes, par la malhonnêteté de ton commerce, tu as profané tessanctuaires. J'ai fait sortir de toi un feu pour te dévorer; je t'ai réduit en cendres sur la terre, aux yeux de tousceux qui te regardaient.	18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.
19 Quiconque te connaît parmi les peuples est frappé de stupeur à ton sujet. Tu es devenu un objetd'effroi, c'en est fait de toi à jamais.	19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'
20 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
21 Fils d'homme, tourne-toi vers Sidon et prophétise contre elle.	21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.
22 Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Je me déclare contre toi, Sidon, je vais être glorifié aumilieu de toi. On saura que je suis Yahvé lorsque d'elle, je ferai justice et que je manifesterai en elle ma sainteté.	22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.
23 Je lui enverrai la peste, il y aura du sang dans ses rues, des morts tomberont au milieu d'elle sousles coups de l'épée levée contre elle de tous côtés, et l'on saura que je suis Yahvé.	23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
24 Il n'y aura plus, pour la maison d'Israël, ni épine qui blesse ni ronce qui déchire parmi tous ceuxd'alentour qui la méprisent, et l'on saura que je suis Yahvé.	24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.
25 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Lorsque je rassemblerai la maison d'Israël du milieu des peuplesoù elle est dispersée, je manifesterai en elle ma sainteté aux yeux des nations. Elle habitera sur le sol que j'aidonné à mon serviteur Jacob.	25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.
26 Ils y habiteront en sécurité, ils bâtiront des maisons et planteront des vignes; ils habiteront ensécurité. Lorsque je ferai justice de tous ceux d'alentour qui les méprisent, on saura que je suis Yahvé leur Dieu.	26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '
