JERUSALEM	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Vision d'Isaïe, fils d'Amoç, au sujet de Juda et de Jérusalem.	1 The word that Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Il arrivera dans la suite des temps que la montagne de la maison de Yahvé sera établie en tête desmontagnes et s'élèvera au-dessus des collines. Alors toutes les nations afflueront vers elle,	2 And in the last days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be prepared at the summit of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills, and all the nations shall flow to it.
3 alors viendront des peuples nombreux qui diront: "Venez, montons à la montagne de Yahvé, à lamaison du Dieu de Jacob, qu'il nous enseigne ses voies et que nous suivions ses sentiers." Car de Sion vient laLoi et de Jérusalem la parole de Yahvé.	3 And many peoples will go, and they will say: “Let us approach and ascend to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 Il jugera entre les nations, il sera l'arbitre de peuples nombreux. Ils briseront leurs épées pour en fairedes socs et leurs lances pour en faire des serpes. On ne lèvera plus l'épée nation contre nation, on n'apprendraplus à faire la guerre.	4 And he will judge the nations, and he will rebuke many peoples. And they shall forge their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they continue to train for battle.
5 Maison de Jacob, allons, marchons à la lumière de Yahvé.	5 O house of Jacob, let us approach and walk in the light of the Lord.
6 Oui, tu as rejeté ton peuple, la maison de Jacob, car il regorge depuis longtemps de magiciens, commeles Philistins, il surabonde d'enfants d'étrangers.	6 For you have cast aside your people, the house of Jacob, because they have been filled up, as in past times, and because they have had soothsayers as the Philistines have, and because they have joined themselves to foreign servants.
7 Le pays s'est rempli d'argent et d'or, ses trésors sont sans limites; le pays s'est rempli de chevaux, seschars sont sans nombre;	7 Their land has been filled with silver and gold. And there is no end to their storehouses.
8 le pays s'est rempli de faux dieux, eux se prosternent devant l'oeuvre de leurs mains, devant ce qu'ontfabriqué leurs doigts.	8 And their land has been filled with horses. And their four-horse chariots are innumerable. And their land has been filled with idols. They have adored the work of their hands, which their own fingers have made.
9 Le mortel s'est humilié, l'homme s'est abaissé: ne les relève pas!	9 And man has bowed himself down, and so man has become debased. Therefore, you should not forgive them.
10 Va dans le rocher, terre-toi dans la poussière devant la Terreur de Yahvé, devant l'éclat de sa majesté,quand il se lèvera pour faire trembler la terre.	10 Enter into the rock, and hide in a ditch in the soil, from the presence of the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty.
11 L'orgueil humain baissera les yeux, l'arrogance des hommes sera humiliée, Yahvé sera exalté, lui seul,en ce jour-là.	11 The lofty eyes of man have been humbled, and the haughtiness of men will be bowed down. Then the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.
12 Oui, ce sera un jour de Yahvé Sabaot sur tout ce qui est orgueilleux et hautain, sur tout ce qui estélevé, pour qu'il soit abaissé;	12 For the day of the Lord of hosts will prevail over all the proud and self-exalted, and over all the arrogant, and each one shall be humbled,
13 sur tous les cèdres du Liban, hautains et élevés, et sur tous les chênes de Bashân;	13 and over all the straight and tall cedars of Lebanon, and over all the oaks of Bashan;
14 sur toutes les montagnes hautaines et sur toutes les collines élevées;	14 and over all the lofty mountains, and over all the elevated hills;
15 sur toute tour altière et sur tout rempart escarpé;	15 and over every lofty tower, and over every fortified wall;
16 sur tous les vaisseaux de Tarsis et sur tout ce qui paraît précieux.	16 and over all the ships of Tarshish, and over all the beauty that may be seen.
17 L'orgueil humain sera humilié, l'arrogance de l'homme sera abaissée, et Yahvé sera exalté, lui seul, ence jour-là.	17 And the loftiness of men will be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men will be brought low. And the Lord alone shall be exalted, in that day.
18 Les faux dieux, en masse, disparaîtront.	18 And idols will be thoroughly crushed.
19 Pour eux, ils iront dans les cavernes des rochers et dans les fissures du sol, devant la Terreur deYahvé, devant l'éclat de sa majesté, quand il se lèvera pour faire trembler la terre.	19 And they will go into the caves of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.
20 En ce jour-là, l'homme jettera aux taupes et aux chauves-souris ses faux dieux d'argent et ses fauxdieux d'or, ceux qu'on lui a fabriqués pour qu'il les adore,	20 In that day, man shall cast aside his idols of silver and his images of gold, which he had made for himself, as if to reverence the moles and the bats.
21 il s'en ira dans les crevasses des rochers et dans les fentes des falaises, devant la Terreur de Yahvé,devant l'éclat de sa majesté, quand il se lèvera pour faire trembler la terre.	21 And so he will go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the caverns of stone, from the presence of the dread of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he will have risen up to strike the earth.
22 Tenez-vous à l'écart de l'homme, qui n'a qu'un souffle dans les narines! A combien l'estimer?	22 Therefore, rest away from man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for he considers himself to be exalted.
