1 God, who, at sundry times and in divers manners, spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, last of all,	1 Muchas veces y de muchos modos habló Dios en el pasado a nuestros Padres por medio de los Profetas;
2 In these days hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world.	2 en estos últimos tiempos nos ha hablado por medio del Hijo a quien instituyó heredero de todo, por quien también hizo los mundos;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the figure of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, making purgation of sins, sitteth on the right hand of the majesty on high.	3 el cual, siendo resplandor de su gloria e impronta de su sustancia, y el que sostiene todo con su palabra poderosa, después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.	4 con una superioridad sobre los ángeles tanto mayor cuanto más les supera en el nombre que ha heredado.
5 For to which of the angels hath he said at any time, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?	5 En efecto, ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Hijo mío eres tú; yo te he engendrado hoy; y también: Yo seré para él Padre, y él será para mi Hijo?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith: And let all the angels of God adore him.	6 Y nuevamente al introducir a su Primogénito en el mundo dice: Y adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.
7 And to the angels indeed he saith: He that maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.	7 Y de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus ángeles vientos, y a sus servidores llamas de fuego.
8 But to the Son: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of justice is the sceptre of thy kingdom.	8 Pero del Hijo: Tu trono, ¡oh Dios!, por los siglos de los siglos; y: El cetro de tu realeza, cetro de equidad.
9 Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.	9 Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la iniquidad; por eso te ungió, ¡oh Dios!, tu Dios con óleo de alegría con preferencia a tus compañeros.
10 And: Thou in the beginning, O Lord, didst found the earth: and the works of thy hands are the heavens.	10 Y también: Tú al comienzo, ¡oh Señor!, pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y obras de tu mano son los cielos.
11 They shall perish, but thou shalt continue: and they shall all grow old as a garment.	11 Ellos perecerán, mas tú permaneces; todos como un vestido envejecerán;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.	12 como un manto los enrollarás, como un vestido, y serán cambiados. Pero tú eres el mismo y tus años no tendrán fin.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time: Sit on my right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footstool?	13 Y ¿a qué ángel dijo alguna vez: Siéntate a mi diestra, hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por escabel de tus pies?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent to minister for them, who shall receive the inheritance of salvation?	14 ¿Es que no son todos ellos espíritus servidores con la misión de asistir a los que han de heredar la salvación?
