1 A canticle of a psalm for Asaph.	1 Ászáf éneke. Zsoltár.
2 O God, who shall be like to thee? hold not thy peace, neither be thou still, O God.	2 Istenem ne maradj néma, ne hallgass és ne légy tétlen, Istenem!
3 For lo, thy enemies have made a noise: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.	3 Mert ellenségeid íme, háborognak, és gyűlölőid fölemelték fejüket.
4 They have taken a malicious counsel against thy people, and have consulted against thy saints.	4 Néped ellen álnok tervet szőnek, ármánykodnak szentjeid ellen.
5 They have said: Come and let us destroy them, so that they be not a nation: and let the name of Israel be remembered no more.	5 Így szólnak: »Gyertek, irtsuk ki őket a nemzetek közül, hogy ne is emlegessék többé Izrael nevét!«
6 For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee,	6 Bizony, megegyeztek közös akarattal, egymással szövetségre léptek ellened:
7 the tabernacles of the Edomites, and the Ismahelites: Moab, and the Agarens,	7 Edom sátrai és az izmaeliták, Moáb és az agariták,
8 Gebal, and Ammon and Amalec: the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.	8 Gebál, Ammon és Amalek, Filisztea Tírusz lakóival.

11 Who perished at Endor: and became as dung for the earth.	11 akik Endornál elvesztek, s hasonlókká lettek a föld sarához.
12 Make their princes like Oreb, and Zeb, and Zebee, and Salmana. All their princes,	12 Tégy fejedelmeikkel, mint Órebbel és Zebbel, mint Zebahhal és Calmunnával, minden fejedelmükkel,
13 who have said: Let us possess the sanctuary of God for an inheritance.	13 akik így szóltak: »Foglaljuk el örökségül Isten földjét!«
14 O my God, make them like a wheel; and as stubble before the wind.	14 Én Istenem, tedd őket olyanokká, mint a porfelhő, s amilyen a pelyva a szél előtt!
15 As fire which burneth the wood: and as a flame burning mountains:	15 Mint a tűz, amely megemészti az erdőt, és mint a láng, amely felperzseli a hegyeket,
16 So shalt thou pursue them with thy tempest: and shalt trouble them in thy wrath.	16 úgy kergesd meg őket fergetegeddel, és rémítsd meg őket viharoddal.
17 Fill their faces with shame; and they shall seek thy name, O Lord.	17 Töltsd el arcukat gyalázattal, hogy keressék, Uram, nevedet!
18 Let them be ashamed and troubled for ever and ever: and let them be confounded and perish.	18 Szégyenüljenek meg és zavarodjanak össze örökre, zavarodjanak össze és pusztuljanak;
19 And let them know that the Lord is thy name: thou alone art the most High over all the earth.	19 Hadd tudják meg, hogy Úrnak hívnak téged: te vagy az egyetlen Fölség az egész földön.
