DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 OR i Capi delle famiglie paterne della nazione de’ figliuoli di Galaad, figliuolo di Machir, figliuol di Manasse, delle nazioni de’ figliuoli di Giuseppe, si fecero innanzi, e parlarono in presenza di Mosè, e de’ principali ch’erano Capi delle famiglie paterne de’ figliuoli d’Israele,	1 Then the heads of families of the clan descended from Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, oneof the clans descended from Joseph, came forward and, addressing Moses and the leaders, the Israelite headsof families,
2 e dissero: Il Signore ha comandato al mio signore di dare il paese in eredità a’ figliuoli d’Israele, a sorte; e oltr’a ciò, al mio signore è stato comandato dal Signore di dar l’eredità di Selofad, nostro fratello, alle sue figliuole.	2 they said: 'Yahweh has ordered my lord to apportion the Israelites' heritages in the country by lot andmy lord has been ordered by Yahweh to give the heritage of our brother Zelophehad to his daughters.
3 Ora, se elleno si maritano ad alcuno dell’altre tribù de’ figliuoli d’Israele, la loro eredità sarà ricisa dall’eredità de’ nostri padri, e sarà aggiunta all’eredità della tribù di quelli a’ quali si mariteranno; e così sarà diminuito della sorte della nostra eredità.	3 Now, if they marry someone from another Israelite tribe, their heritage wil be alienated from ourancestral heritage. The heritage of the tribe to which they wil then belong wil be increased, and the heritage al otted to us will be diminished.
4 E anche, quando i figliuoli d’Israele avranno il Giubileo, l’eredità di esse sarà aggiunta all’eredità della tribù di quelli a’ quali si mariteranno; e così la loro eredità sarà ricisa dall’eredità della tribù de’ nostri padri	4 And when the jubilee for the Israelites comes round, these women's heritage will become part of theheritage of the tribe to which they then belong, and be alienated from the heritage of our ancestral tribe.'
5 E Mosè diede comandamento a’ figliuoli d’Israele, secondo la parola del Signore, dicendo: La tribù de’ figliuoli di Giuseppe parla dirittamente.	5 At Yahweh's bidding, Moses gave the Israelites this order. He said: 'What the Josephite tribe says istrue.
6 Quest’è quello che il Signore ha comandato intorno alle figliuole di Selofad, dicendo: Maritinsi a chi aggraderà loro; ma pur maritinsi in alcuna delle nazioni della tribù del padre loro.	6 This is Yahweh's ruling for Zelophehad's daughters: "They may marry whom they please, providingthey marry into a clan of their father's tribe.
7 E non sia trasportata tra’ figliuoli d’Israele, alcuna eredità di tribù in tribù; anzi attengasi ciascuno de’ figliuoli d’Israele all’eredità della tribù de’ suoi padri.	7 But the heritages of Israelites are not to be transferred from tribe to tribe; each Israelite wil stick tothe heritage of his own tribe.
8 E maritisi ogni fanciulla, che sarà erede, fra le tribù de’ figliuoli d’Israele, a uno della nazione della tribù di suo padre; acciocchè i figliuoli d’Israele posseggano ciascuno l’eredità de’ suoi padri.	8 Any daughter who owns a heritage in an Israelite tribe will marry into a clan of her own paternal tribe,so that the Israelites may each preserve the heritage of his father.
9 E non si trasportino le eredità da una tribù all’altra, anzi ciascuna tribù de’ figliuoli d’Israele s’attenga alla sua eredità.	9 No heritage may be transferred from one tribe to another; each Israelite tribe wil stick to its ownheritage." '
10 Come il Signore avea comandato a Mosè, così fecero le figliuole di Selofad.	10 Zelophehad's daughters did as Yahweh had ordered Moses.
11 E Mala, e Tirsa, ed Hogla, e Milca, e Noa, figliuole di Selofad, si maritarono co’ figliuoli de’ loro zii.	11 Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah and Noah, daughters of Zelophehad, married the sons of theirfather's brothers.
12 Così furono maritate a mariti ch’erano delle nazioni de’ figliuoli di Manasse, figliuolo di Giuseppe; e la loro eredità restò nella tribù della nazione del padre loro.	12 Since they married into clans descended from Manasseh son of Joseph, their heritage reverted tothe tribe of their father's clan.
13 Questi sono i comandamenti e le leggi, le quali il Signore diede a’ figliuoli d’Israele, per man di Mosè, nelle campagne di Moab, presso al Giordano di Gerico	13 Such were the commandments and laws that Yahweh prescribed for the Israelites through Moseson the Plains of Moab near the Jordan by Jericho.n
