Isaia 39

DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 IN quel tempo, Merodac-bala-dan, figliuolo di Baladan, re di Babilonia, mandò lettere e presenti ad Ezechia; perciocchè avea inteso ch’era stato infermo, e ch’era guarito.	1 At that time, the king of Babylon, Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah,for he had heard of his illness and his recovery.
2 Ed Ezechia si rallegrò di loro, e mostrò loro la casa delle sue cose preziose, l’argento, e l’oro, e gli oromati, e gli olii odoriferi, e la casa di tutti i suoi arredi, e tutto quello che si ritrovava ne’ suoi tesori; non vi fu cosa alcuna in casa, ovvero in tutto il dominio di Ezechia, ch’egli non mostrasse loro.	2 Hezekiah was delighted at this and showed the ambassadors his entire treasury, the silver, gold,spices, precious oil, his armoury too, and everything to be seen in his storehouses. There was nothing in hispalace or in his whole domain that Hezekiah did not show them.
3 E il profeta Isaia venne al re Ezechia, e gli disse: Che hanno detto quegli uomini? e donde son venuti a te? Ed Ezechia disse: Son venuti a me di paese lontano, di Babilonia.	3 The prophet Isaiah then came to King Hezekiah and asked him, 'What have these men said, and wherehave they come to you from?' Hezekiah answered, 'They have come from a distant country, from Babylon.'
4 Ed Isaia disse: Che hanno veduto in casa tua? Ed Ezechia disse: Hanno veduto tutto quello che è in casa mia; non vi è nulla ne’ miei tesori, che io non abbia lor mostrato	4 Isaiah said, 'What have they seen in your palace?' 'They have seen everything in my palace,' Hezekiahanswered. 'There is nothing in my storehouses that I have not shown them.'
5 Ed Isaia disse ad Ezechia: Ascolta la parola del Signor degli eserciti:	5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, 'Listen to the word of Yahweh Sabaoth,
6 Ecco, i giorni vengono, che tutto quello che è in casa tua, e quello che i tuoi padri hanno raunato in tesoro infino a questo giorno, sarà portato in Babilonia; non ne sarà lasciata di resto cosa veruna, dice il Signore.	6 "The days are coming when everything in your palace, everything that your ancestors have amasseduntil now, wil be carried off to Babylon. Not a thing wil be left," Yahweh says.
7 Ed anche si prenderanno de’ tuoi figliuoli, i quali saranno usciti di te, i quali tu avrai generati; e saranno eunuchi nel palazzo del re di Babilonia.	7 "Sons sprung from you, sons begotten by you, will be abducted to be eunuchs in the palace of the kingof Babylon." '
8 Ed Ezechia disse ad Isaia: La parola del Signore, che tu hai pronunziata, è buona. Poi disse: Noi vi sarà egli pur pace e sicurtà, a’ miei dì?	8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'This word of Yahweh that you announce is reassuring,' for he was thinking,'There is going to be peace and security during my lifetime.'
