1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, in su Nehilot PORGI l’orecchio alle mie parole, o Signore; Intendi la mia meditazione.	1 To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my groaning.
2 Re mio, e Dio mio, attendi alla voce del mio grido; Perciocchè io t’indirizzo la mia orazione.	2 Hearken to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to thee do I pray.
3 Signore, ascolta da mattina la mia voce; Da mattina io ti spiego i miei desii, e sto aspettando.	3 O LORD, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch.
4 Perciocchè tu non sei un Dio che prenda piacere nell’empietà; Il malvagio non può dimorar teco.	4 For thou art not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with thee.
5 Gl’insensati non possono comparir davanti agli occhi tuoi; Tu odii tutti gli operatori d’iniquità.	5 The boastful may not stand before thy eyes; thou hatest all evildoers.
6 Tu farai perire tutti quelli che parlano con menzogna; Il Signore abbomina l’uomo di sangue e di frode	6 Thou destroyest those who speak lies; the LORD abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men.
7 Ma io, per la grandezza della tua benignità, entrerò nella tua Casa, E adorerò verso il Tempio della tua santità, nel tuo timore.	7 But I through the abundance of thy steadfast love will enter thy house, I will worship toward thy holy temple in the fear of thee.
8 Signore, guidami per la tua giustizia, per cagion de’ miei insidiatori; Addirizza davanti a me la tua via.	8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of my enemies; make thy way straight before me.
9 Perciocchè nella bocca loro non v’è dirittura alcuna; L’interior loro non è altro che malizie; La lor gola è un sepolcro aperto, Lusingano colla lor lingua.	9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is destruction, their throat is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue.
10 Condannali, o Dio; Scadano da’ lor consigli; Scacciali per la moltitudine de’ lor misfatti; Perciocchè si son ribellati contro a te.	10 Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of their many transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against thee.
11 E rallegrinsi tutti quelli che si confidano in te, E cantino in eterno, e sii lor protettore; E festeggino in te Quelli che amano il tuo Nome.	11 But let all who take refuge in thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do thou defend them, that those who love thy name may exult in thee.
12 Perciocchè tu, Signore, benedirai il giusto; Tu l’intornierai di benevolenza, come d’uno scudo	12 For thou dost bless the righteous, O LORD; thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield.
