1 По окончании двадцати лет, в которые Соломон строил дом Господень и свой дом,	1 At the end of the twenty years which it took Solomon to build the Temple of Yahweh and his ownpalace,
2 Соломон обстроил и города, которые дал Соломону Хирам, и поселил в них сынов Израилевых.	2 and to rebuild the towns which Huram had given him and settle them with Israelites,
3 И пошел Соломон на Емаф-Сува и взял его.	3 Solomon mounted an expedition against Hamath-Zobah and captured it.
4 И построил он Фадмор в пустыне, и все города для запасов, какие основал в Емафе.	4 He also fortified Tadmor in the desert and all the storage towns which he had built in Hamath.
5 Он обстроил Вефорон верхний и Вефорон нижний, города укрепленные, со стенами, воротами и запорами,	5 He also built Upper Beth-Horon and Lower Beth-Horon as fortified towns with wal s and gates and bars,
6 и Ваалаф и все города для запасов, которые были у Соломона, и все города для колесниц, и города для конных, и все, что хотел Соломон построить в Иерусалиме и на Ливане и во всей земле владения своего.	6 also Baalath and al Solomon's storage towns, al the towns for his chariots and horses, and everythingwhich Solomon was pleased to build in Jerusalem, in the Lebanon and throughout the territory under his rule.
7 Весь народ, оставшийся от Хеттеев, и Аморреев, и Ферезеев, и Евеев и Иевусеев, которые были не из сынов Израилевых, --	7 Al those who survived of the Hittite, Amorite, Perizzite, Hivite and Jebusite peoples, who did not belongto Israel-
8 детей их, оставшихся после них на земле, которых не истребили сыны Израилевы, --сделал Соломон оброчными до сего дня.	8 those of their descendants stil remaining in the country, whom the Israelites had not exterminated,these Solomon levied for forced labour, as is stil the case today.
9 Сынов же Израилевых не делал Соломон работниками по делам своим, но они были воинами, и начальниками телохранителей его, и вождями колесниц его и всадников его.	9 Solomon did not, however, impose forced labour on the Israelites for his work -- for they were soldiers,his senior officers and his chariot and cavalry commanders.
10 И было главных приставников у царя Соломона, управлявших народом, двести пятьдесят.	10 There were two hundred and fifty of King Solomon's officials in charge of the foremen who supervisedthe people.
11 А дочь Фараонову перевел Соломон из города Давидова в дом, который построил для нее, потому что, говорил он, не должна жить женщина у меня в доме Давида, царя Израилева, ибо свят он, так как вошел в него ковчег Господень.	11 Solomon moved Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace which he had built for her.'I must not be responsible', he said, 'for a woman living in the palace of David king of Israel, for these buildings towhich the ark of Yahweh has come are sacred.'
12 Тогда стал возносить Соломон всесожжения Господу на жертвеннике Господнем, который он устроил пред притвором,	12 Thereafter, Solomon made burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh which he had built infront of the portico,
13 чтобы по уставу каждого дня приносить всесожжения, по заповеди Моисеевой, в субботы, и в новомесячия, и в праздники три раза в год: в праздник опресноков, и в праздник седмиц, и в праздник кущей.	13 in accordance with the regular prescriptions for burnt sacrifice as commanded by Moses, on theSabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts; the feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of Weeks and thefeast of Shelters.
14 И установил он, по распоряжению Давида, отца своего, череды священников по службе их и левитов по стражам их, чтобы они славословили и служили при священниках по уставу каждого дня, и привратников по чередам их, к каждым воротам, потому что таково было завещание Давида, человека Божия.	14 Fol owing the prescriptions of his father David, he assigned the orders of priests to their duties and theLevites to their tasks of praise and of assisting the priests in accordance with day-to-day requirements; as alsothe gatekeepers in their various orders to each gate -- for such was the command of David, man of God.
15 И не отступали от повелений царя о священниках и левитах ни в чем, ни в отношении сокровищ.	15 Nor was there deviation on any point from the king's command as regards the priests, the Levites oreven the storehouses.
16 Так устроено было все дело Соломоново от дня основания дома Господня до совершенного окончания его--дома Господня.	16 Thus, al the work was over which Solomon had put in hand when the Temple of Yahweh was foundeduntil it was finished. The Temple of Yahweh was complete in every detail.
17 Тогда пошел Соломон в Ецион-Гавер и в Елаф, который на берегу моря, в земле Идумейской.	17 Solomon then mounted an expedition to Ezion-Geber and Elath on the sea-coast of Edom.
18 И прислал ему Хирам чрез слуг своих корабли и рабов, знающих море, и отправились они с слугами Соломоновыми в Офир, и добыли оттуда четыреста пятьдесят талантов золота, и привезли царю Соломону.	18 Huram sent him ships through his agents, as wel as experienced sailors, who went to Ophir with menin Solomon's service, where they took on four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they brought back to KingSolomon.
