Oseas 12

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Efraím me ha rodeado de mentira y la casa de Israel, de falsedad. –Pero Judá está todavía cerca de Dios y se mantiene fiel al muy Santo–.	1 Ephraim feeds on wind and follows burning heat; all day long he multiplies lies and desolation. And he has entered into a pact with the Assyrians, and he has carried oil into Egypt.
2 Efraím se apacienta de viento y corre todo el día tras el viento del este; multiplica el fraude y la devastación; hacen una alianza con Asiria y llevan aceite a Egipto.	2 Therefore, the judgment of the Lord is with Judah and a visitation is upon Jacob. He will repay him according to his ways and according to his inventions.
3 El Señor tiene un pleito con Israel, pedirá a Jacob de su conducta, le retribuirá según sus acciones.	3 In the womb, he supplanted his brother; for in his good fortune, he had been guided by an angel.
4 En el seno materno suplantó a su hermano y cuando fue adulto luchó con Dios.	4 And he prevailed over an angel, for he had been strengthened. He wept and petitioned him. He found him in Bethel, and there he has spoken to us.
5 Luchó con el Angel y venció, lloró y le imploró. En Betel lo encontró, y allí Dios habló con él.	5 And the Lord God of hosts, the Lord is his memorial.
6 –¡El Señor es el Dios de los ejércitos: «el Señor» es su nombre!–.	6 And so, you should convert to your God. Keep mercy and judgment, and have hope in your God always.
7 Tú volverás con la ayuda de tu Dios: observa la fidelidad y la rectitud, y espera siempre en tu Dios.	7 Canaan, in his hand is a deceitful balance, he has chosen false accusations.
8 Canaán tiene en su mano balanzas falsas, le gusta defraudar.	8 And Ephraim has said, “Nevertheless, I have become rich; I have found an idol for myself. All of my labors will not reveal to me the iniquity that I have committed.”
9 Efraím dijo: «Sí, yo me enriquecí, he amasado una fortuna; pero en todas mis ganancias, no encontrarán en mí ningún delito que sea pecado».	9 And I, the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, nevertheless will cause you to dwell in tabernacles, just as during the days of the feast.
10 Yo soy el Señor, tu Dios, desde el país de Egipto: te haré habitar de nuevo en carpas, como en los días del Encuentro.	10 And I have spoken through the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and I have used parables through the hands of the prophets.
11 Yo hablaré a los profetas y multiplicaré las visiones, y por medio de los profetas, hablaré en parábolas.	11 If Gilead is an idol, then they have been sacrificing cattle in Gilgal to no purpose. For even their altars are like clutter on the soil of the field.
12 Galaad es pura falsedad, ellos se han convertido en nada; en Guilgal sacrifican toros: así sus altares serán como un montón de piedras sobre los surcos del campo.	12 Jacob fled into the region of Syria, and Israel served like a wife, and was served by a wife.
13 Jacob huyó a los campos de Aram. Israel sirvió por una mujer y por una mujer, cuidó los rebaños.	13 Yet by a prophet the Lord led Israel out of Egypt, and he was served by a prophet.
14 Pero, por un profeta, el Señor hizo subir a Israel de Egipto, y por un profeta él fue protegido.	14 Ephraim has provoked me to wrath with his bitterness, and his blood will overcome him, and his Lord will requite him for his shamefulness.
15 Efraím apenó a Dios amargamente: su Señor arrojará sobre él la sangre vertida, y le devolverá sus agravios.
