Isaías 32

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Sí, un rey reinará conforme a la justicia y los príncipes gobernarán según el derecho.	1 There wil be a king who reigns uprightly and princes who rule with fair judgement;
2 Ellos serán como un refugio contra el viento, como un reparo contra la tormenta, como una corriente de agua en suelo árido, como la sombra de un peñasco en tierra reseca	2 each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams on arid ground, like theshade of a solid rock in a desolate land.
3 No se obnubilarán los ojos de los que ven y los oídos de los que oyen estarán atentos;	3 The eyes of seers wil no longer be closed, the ears of hearers wil be alert,
4 el irreflexivo aprenderá a comprender y la lengua tartamuda hablará con soltura y claridad.	4 the heart of the hasty wil learn to think things over, and the tongue of stammerers wil speak promptlyand clearly.
5 Ya no se llamará noble al necio ni se dará al sinvergüenza un título honorífico.	5 The fool wil no longer be cal ed generous, nor the rascal be styled bountiful.
6 Porque el necio dice necedades y su corazón maquina el mal, para proceder con impiedad y proferir aberraciones contra el Señor para dejar al hambriento con el estómago vacío y privar de bebida al sediento.	6 For the fool speaks fol y and his heart is set on vil ainy; he is godless in his actions and his wordsascribe error to Yahweh; he starves the hungry of their food and refuses drink to the thirsty.
7 En cuanto al sinvergüenza. usa malas artes, no planea más que infamias, para arruinar a los indigentes con engaños, cuando el pobre reclama su derecho.	7 Everything to do with the rascal is evil, he devises infamous plans to ruin the poor with lying wordseven when the needy has right on his side;
8 El hombre noble, en cambio, piensa noblemente y se mantiene firme en su nobleza.	8 but the noble person plans only noble things, noble his every move.
9 ¡De pie, mujeres indolentes, escuchen mi voz! ¡Presten oído a mi palabra, mujeres demasiado confiadas!	9 Stand up, you haughty women, listen to my words; you over-confident daughters, pay attention to whatI say.
10 Dentro de un año y nos días, ustedes temblarán, mujeres confiadas, porque terminará la vendimia y no llegará la cosecha.	10 Within one year and a few days you wil tremble, you over-confident women; grape-harvesting will befinished, gathering will never happen again.
11 ¡Tiemblen, indolentes, estremézcanse, confiadas, desvístanse, desnúdense, cíñanse la cintura!	11 Shudder, you haughty women, tremble, you over-confident women; strip, undress, put sackclothround your waists.
12 Laméntense por los campos, por los campos deliciosos, por las viñas fértiles,	12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine,
13 por el suelo de mi pueblo, porque crecerán espinas y zarzas en todas las casas felices de la ciudad alegre.	13 for my people's soil where the bramble-bush wil be growing and for al the happy houses, for therejoicing city.
14 Sí, la ciudadela ha quedado desierta y la ciudad tumultuosa, abandonada, Ofel y la Torre de guardia serán madrigueras para siempre, delicia de los asnos salvajes, pastizal para los rebaños...	14 For the citadel wil be abandoned and the thronged city deserted, Ophel and the Keep wil be denudedfor ever, the playground of wild donkeys and the pasture of flocks,
	15 until the spirit is poured out on us from above, and the desert becomes an orchard, and an orchardthat seems like a forest.
16 En el desierto habitará el derecho y la justicia morará en el vergel.	16 Fair judgement wil fix its home in the desert, and uprightness live in this orchard,
17 La obra de la justicia será la paz, y el fruto de la justicia, la tranquilidad y la seguridad para siempre.	17 and the product of uprightness will be peace, the effect of uprightness being quiet and security forever.
18 Mi pueblo habitará en un lugar de paz, en moradas seguras, en descansos tranquilos	18 My people will live in a peaceful home, in peaceful houses, tranquil dwel ings.
19 –pero la selva caerá abatida y la ciudad será humillada por completo–.	19 And should the forest be total y destroyed and the city gravely humiliated,
