Proverbios 28

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 El malvado huye sin que nadie lo persiga. pero el justo está seguro como un cachorro de león.	1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
2 Cuando hay rebelión en un país, son muchos sus jefes; con un hombre inteligente y experto, reina la estabilidad.	2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
3 Hombre pobre que explota a los débiles es como lluvia torrencial que deja sin pan.	3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4 Los que abandonan la Ley elogian al malvado, los que la observan se indignan contra él.	4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5 Los malvados no entienden lo que es recto, los que buscan al Señor lo entienden todo.	5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
6 Más vale un pobre que camina con integridad que un rico de caminos tortuosos.	6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
7 El que observa la Ley es un hombre inteligente, el que frecuenta a los libertinos deshonra a su padre.	7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
8 El que acrecienta su fortuna con usura e interés la acumula para el que se compadece de los pobres.	8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
9 Si uno aparta su oído para no oír la Ley, hasta su plegaria es una abominación.	9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
10 El que extravía a los rectos por el mal camino caerá él mismo en su propia fosa, pero los hombres íntegros heredarán la felicidad.	10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
11 El hombre rico se tiene por sabio, pero el pobre inteligente lo conoce a fondo.	11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
12 Cuando triunfan los justos, hay gran fiesta; cuando se imponen los malvados, todos se esconden.	12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
13 El que encubre sus delitos no prosperará, pero el que los confiesa y abandona, obtendrá misericordia.	13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
14 Feliz el hombre que siempre teme al Señor, pero el obstinado caerá en la desgracia.	14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
15 León rugiente y oso hambriento es el malvado que domina a un pueblo débil.	15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
16 Un príncipe sin inteligencia multiplica las extorsiones, pero el que detesta el lucro prolongará sus días.	16 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
17 El hombre cargado con la sangre de otro huirá hasta el sepulcro: ¡que nadie lo detenga!	17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
18 El que camina con integridad se salvará, el que va tortuosamente por dos caminos, cae en uno de ellos.	18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
19 El que cultiva su suelo se saciará de pan, el que persigue quimeras se hartará de pobreza.	19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
20 El hombre sincero será colmado de bendiciones, el que quiere hacerse rico de golpe no quedará impune.	20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
21 No está bien hacer acepción de personas, pero un hombre se vuelve venal por un bocado de pan.	21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
22 El malicioso corre detrás de la fortuna, sin saber que le sobrevendrá la indigencia.	22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
23 El que reprende a otro será al fin más estimado que el hombre de lengua aduladora.	23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
24 El que despoja a su padre y a su madre y dice: «Esto no es una falta», es compañero del que destruye.	24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
25 El hombre ambicioso siembra discordias, el que confía en el Señor tendrá prosperidad.	25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
26 El que se fía de sí mismo es un insensato, el que procede sabiamente se salvará.	26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
27 El que da al pobre no conocerá la indigencia, pero al que cierra los ojos lo llenarán de maldiciones.	27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
28 Cuando triunfan los malvados, todos se esconden; cuando desaparecen, se multiplican los justos.	28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
