Ezequiel 28

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Hijo de hombre, di al príncipe de Tiro: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: ¡Oh!, tu corazón se ha engreído y has dicho: «Soy un dios, estoy sentado en un trono divino, en el corazón de los mares». Tú que eres un hombre y no un dios, equiparas tu corazón al corazón de Dios.	2 'Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Because your heart has grownproud, you thought: I am a god; I am divinely enthroned far out to sea. Though you are human, not divine, youhave allowed yourself to think like God.
3 ¡Oh sí, eres más sabio que Danel! Ningún sabio es semejante a ti.	3 So, you are wiser than Danel; no sage as wise as you!
4 Con tu sabiduría y tu inteligencia te has hecho una fortuna, has amontonado oro y plata en tus tesoros.	4 By your wisdom and your intel igence you have made yourself a fortune, you have put gold and silverinto your treasuries.
5 Por tu gran sabiduría y tu comercio has multiplicado tu fortuna, y por su fortuna se ha engreído tu corazón.	5 Such is your skill in trading, your fortune has continued to increase, and your fortune has made yourheart grow prouder.
6 Por eso, así dice el Señor Yahveh: Porque has equiparado tu corazón al corazón de Dios,	6 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have al owed yourself to think like God,
7 por eso, he aquí que yo traigo contra ti extranjeros, los más bárbaros entre las naciones. Desenvainarán la espada contra tu linda sabiduría, y profanarán tu esplendor;	7 very wel , I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They wil draw sword against your fine wisdom, they wil desecrate your splendour,
8 te precipitarán en la fosa, y morirás de muerte violenta en el corazón de los mares.	8 they will throw you down into the grave and you wil die a violent death far out to sea.
9 ¿Podrás decir aún: «Soy un dios», ante tus verdugos? Pero serás un hombre, que no un dios, entre las manos de los que te traspasen.	9 Wil you stil think: I am a god, when your slaughterers confront you? But you will be human, not divine,in the clutches of the ones who strike you down!
10 Tendrás la muerte de los incircuncisos, a manos de extranjeros. Porque he hablado yo, oráculo del Señor Yahveh.	10 You wil die like the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners. "For I have spoken -- declares the LordYahweh." '
11 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:	11 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
12 Hijo de hombre, entona una elegía sobre el rey de Tiro. Le dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Eras el sello de una obra maestra, lleno de sabiduría, acabado en belleza.	12 'Son of man, raise a lament for the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Lord Yahweh says this: You usedto be a model of perfection, ful of wisdom, perfect in beauty;
13 En Edén estabas, en el jardín de Dios. Toda suerte de piedras preciosas formaban tu manto: rubí, topacio, diamante, crisólito, piedra de ónice, jaspe, zafiro, malaquita, esmeralda; en oro estaban labrados los aretes y pinjantes que llevabas, aderezados desde el día de tu creación.	13 you were in Eden, in the garden of God. Al kinds of gem formed your mantle: sard, topaz, diamond,chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, garnet, emerald, and your ear-pendants and spangles were made of gold; alwas ready on the day you were created.
14 Querubín protector de alas desplegadas te había hecho yo, estabas en el monte santo de Dios, caminabas entre piedras de fuego.	14 I made you a living creature with outstretched wings, as guardian, you were on the holy mountain ofGod; you walked amid red-hot coals.
15 Fuiste perfecto en su conducta desde el día de tu creación, hasta el día en que se halló en ti iniquidad.	15 Your behaviour was exemplary from the day you were created until guilt first appeared in you,
16 Por la amplitud de tu comercio se ha llenado tu interior de violencia, y has pecado. Y yo te he degradado del monte de Dios, y te he eliminado, querubín protector, de en medio de las piedras de fuego.	16 because your busy trading has fil ed you with violence and sin. I have thrown you down from themountain of God and destroyed you, guardian winged creature, amid the coals.
17 Tu corazón se ha pagado de tu belleza, has corrompido tu sabiduría por causa de tu esplendor. Yo te he precipitado en tierra, te he expuesto como espectáculo a los reyes.	17 Your heart has grown proud because of your beauty, your wisdom has been corrupted by yoursplendour. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for kings.
18 Por la multitud de tus culpas por la inmoralidad de tu comercio, has profanado tus santuarios. Y yo he sacado de ti mismo el fuego que te ha devorado; te he reducido a ceniza sobre la tierra, a los ojos de todos los que te miraban.	18 By the immense number of your crimes, by the dishonesty of your trading, you have defiled yoursanctuary. So I have brought fire out of you to devour you; I have reduced you to ashes on the ground before theeyes of al who saw you.
19 Todos los pueblos que te conocían están pasmados por ti. Eres un objeto de espanto, y has desaparecido para siempre.	19 Of the nations, al who know you are stunned at your fate. You are an object of terror; gone for ever."'
20 La palabra de Yahveh me fue dirigida en estos términos:	20 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
21 Hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro hacia Sidón y profetiza contra ella.	21 'Son of man, turn towards Sidon and prophesy against her.
22 Dirás: Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Aquí estoy contra ti, Sidón; en medio de ti seré glorificado. Se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh, cuando yo haga justicia de ella y manifeste en ella mi santidad.	22 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I am against you, Sidon, I will show my glory in you! They wilknow I am Yahweh, once I execute sentence on her and display my holiness in her.
23 Mandaré contra ella la peste, habrá sangre en sus calles; las víctimas caerán en medio de ella, bajo la espada que la cercará por todas partes, y se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh.	23 For I shall send her the plague, and there wil be blood in her streets, and in her the dead wil falunder the sword raised against her from al sides, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
24 No habrá más, para la casa de Israel, espina que punce ni zarza que lacere, entre todos sus vecinos que la desprecian, y se sabrá que yo soy el Señor Yahveh.	24 "No more, for the House of Israel, shall any of the hostile nations surrounding them be a thorn thatwounds or a briar that tears; and they will know that I am Yahweh.
25 Así dice el Señor Yahveh: Cuando yo reúna a la casa de Israel de en medio de los pueblos donde está dispersa, manifestaré en ellos mi santidad a los ojos de las naciones. Habitarán en la tierra que yo di a mi siervo Jacob;	25 "The Lord Yahweh says this: When I gather the House of Israel back from the peoples where theyare dispersed, I shal display my glory in them for the nations to see. They wil live on the soil which I gave to myservant Jacob.
26 habitarán allí con seguridad, construirán casas y plantarán viñas; vivirán seguros. Cuando yo haga justicia de todos sus vecinos que los desprecian, se sabrá que yo soy Yahveh su Dios.	26 They will live there in confidence, build houses, plant vineyards. They wil live in safety, once I inflictpunishments on all the hostile nations surrounding them, and they will know that I am Yahweh their God." '
