Seconda Epistola di Santo Paulo alli Tessalonicesi 1

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Paulo e Silvano e Timoteo alla Chiesa di Tessalonica, in Dio padre, e nel Signore Iesù Cristo.
2 A voi sia grazia e pace da Dio padre nostro e dal Signore Iesù Cristo.	2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Fratelli, sempre dovemo referire grazie a Dio per voi, sì come è degna cosa; imperò che sopra cresce la vostra fede, e abbonda la carità di ciascuno di voi, l' uno a l'altro,	3 We must always thank God for you, brothers; quite rightly, because your faith is growing so wonderfullyand the mutual love that each one of you has for al never stops increasing.
4 in tal guisa che noi vi lodiamo intra l' altre Chiese di Dio, per la vostra pazienza e per la fede (che voi avete) in tutte le persecuzioni le quali voi sostenete,	4 Among the churches of God we take special pride in you for your perseverance and faith under al thepersecutions and hardships you have to bear.
5 in esempio del giusto giudizio di Dio, acciò che degnamente siate ricevuti nel regno di Dio, per il quale voi sostenete tribulazione.	5 It al shows that God's judgement is just, so that you may be found worthy of the kingdom of God; it isfor the sake of this that you are suffering now.
6 Sì, perchè appo Dio sì è giusta cosa di rendere tribulazione a coloro li quali tribulano voi,	6 For God's justice wil surely mean hardship being inflicted on those who are now inflicting hardship onyou,
7 e a voi dare requie, che siete tribulati (e questo farà Dio), quando Cristo nostro Signore verrà palesemente dal cielo, con li angeli e le virtù sue,	7 and for you who are now suffering hardship, relief with us, when the Lord Jesus appears from heavenwith the angels of his power.
8 e con la fiamma del fuoco, la qual farà vendetta di coloro li quali non conobbero Dio, non obbedirono l' evangelio del nostro Signore Iesù Cristo.	8 He wil come amid flaming fire; he wil impose a penalty on those who do not acknowledge God andrefuse to accept the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9 I quali (peccatori) porteranno pena eternale con perdizione (quando saranno cacciati) dalla faccia del Signore, e daila gloria della sua virtù,	9 Their punishment is to be lost eternal y, excluded from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength
10 quando (Cristo) verrà per essere glorificato intra li santi suoi, e per diventare maraviglioso (e glorioso) intra tutti coloro che credettero in lui; e in quel di apparirà per fermo la nostra testimonianza sopra voi.	10 on that day when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and marvelled at by al who believe inhim; and you are among those who believed our witness.
11 La qual cosa noi sempre oriamo per voi, che il nostro Dio degni di chiamare voi nel suo chiamamento, che riempia ogni volontà della sua bontà (in voi), e l'opera della fede con virtù,	11 In view of this we also pray continual y that our God wil make you worthy of his cal , and by his powerfulfil all your desires for goodness, and complete al that you have been doing through faith;
12 acciò che sia glorificato il nome del nostro Signore Iesù Cristo in voi, e voi (essere) in quello, secondo la grazia di Dio nostro, e Signore Iesù Cristo.	12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you and you in him, by the grace of ourGod and the Lord Jesus Christ.
