Ezechiele 26

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E fu fatto questo nello undecimo anno, nel primo di del mese, che Iddio mi disse:	1 In the eleventh year, on the first of the month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
2 O figliuolo d'uomo, però che Tiro di Ierusalem disse: rallegriamoci, però che sono rotte le porte de' popoli, è rivolta a me; e riempierommi, ed è deserta; (Tiro sì è una terra);	2 'Son of man, since Tyre has said of Jerusalem: "Aha! She is shattered, the Gateway to the Nations;she now gives way to me. Her riches are ruined!"
3 però dice questo lo Signore Iddio: ecco, io sopra te, Tiro; farò salire a te molte genti, come sale lo mare quando gitta l' onde.	3 Very well, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Now, Tyre, I am against you,
4 E disfaranno le mura di Tiro, e ruineranno le torri sue; e raderò la sua polvere di terra, (cioè che non rimarrà niente), e farolla come una pianissima pietra.	4 I shal raise many nations against you as the sea raises its waves. They wil destroy the wal s of Tyre,they will demolish her towers; I shal sweep the dust of her away and reduce her to a naked rock.
5 Seccamento delle sagene (cioè delle reti) sarà nel mezzo del mare, però ch' io hoe parlato, dice Iddio; e sarà in rubamento alle genti.	5 She will be a drying-ground out to sea for fishing-nets. For I have spoken- declares Lord Yahweh. Shewil be the prey of the nations.
6 E le sue figliuole, che sono nel campo, saranno uccise di coltello; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio.	6 As for her daughters on the mainland, these will be put to the sword, and they wil know that I amYahweh."
7 Però [che] questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io menerò a Tiro Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, d'aquilone, re delli re, con cavalli e con carri e con cavalieri e con grande compagnia di popolo.	7 'For the Lord Yahweh says this, "From the north, I shall bring Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, kingof kings, down on Tyre with horses, chariots, cavalry and an enormous army.
8 E ucciderà le tue figliuole, che sono nel campo; e tornierà te con grande armadura, e porterà l'aggere nel circuito, e alzerà contro a te lo scudo.	8 He will put your daughters on the mainland to the sword. He wil build siege-works against you, cast upa siege-ramp against you, raise a screen against you;
9 E le vigne e li bastioni tempererà per muri, (cioè che, tagliando le vigne, ne farà muro per entrare dentro); e colla sua armadura disfarà le tue torri.	9 he wil pound your wal s with his battering-rams, and demolish your towers with his siege-engines.
10 Colla moltitudine de' suoi cavalli coprirà te la loro polvere; e li tuoi muri si moveranno per lo suono (e per lo rumore) de' cavalieri e delle ruote. de' carri; e quando saranno entrati dentro dalle tue porte, sarà come lo introito d' una città distrutta (e scalpitata).	10 His horses are so many that their dust wil hide you. The noise of his horsemen and his chariot-wheels wil make your walls tremble as he enters your gates as though storming into a city through the breach.
11 E colle unghie de' suoi cavalli tutte le tue piazze saranno conculcate; e taglierà lo tuo popolo con coltello, e le tue statue rovineranno in terra.	11 With his horses' hoofs he wil trample through al your streets; he wil put your people to the sword,and throw your massive pil ars to the ground.
12 Guasteranno le tue ricchezze, e ruberanno le tue mercatanzie, e disfaranno le tue mura, e rivolgeranno le tue belle case; e lo tuo legname e le tue pietre e la tua polvere porranno nel mezzo dell' acqua.	12 Your wealth wil be seized, your merchandise looted, your wal s rased, your luxurious housesshattered, your stones, your timbers, your very dust, thrown into the sea.
13 E farò istare cheta la moltitudine de' tuoi cantatori; e lo suono delle tue citare non sarà più udito.	13 I shal put an end to the sound of your songs; the sound of your harps wil not be heard again.
14 E farò te come una pietra molto piana; tu sarai seccamento delle sagene, e non sarai più edificata; però ch' io (Signore) hoe parlato, dice lo Signore Iddio.	14 I shal reduce you to a naked rock, and make you into a drying-ground for fishing-nets, never to berebuilt; for I, Yahweh, have spoken -declares the Lord Yahweh."
15 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio a Tiro: or non si moveranno le insule per lo suono della tua rovina, e per lo pianto de' tuoi morti, quando saranno uccisi nel mezzo di te?	15 'The Lord Yahweh says this to Tyre, "Wil not the islands quake at the sound of your fall, while thewounded groan and the slaughter takes place inside you?
16 E tutti li principi del mare discenderanno delle loro sedie, e torranno via le loro grandezze, e gitteranno via le varie vestimenta, e vestirannosi di stupore; e sederanno in terra, e attoniti del tuo subito caso si maraviglieranno.	16 Al the princes of the sea wil leave their thrones, lay aside their cloaks, take off their embroideredrobes. Dressed in terror they will sit on the ground trembling incessantly, stunned at your fate.
17 E pigliando lamento sopra te, diranno a te: come peristi tu che abiti nel mare, cittade gentile e alta, che fosti forte nel (mezzo del) mare, colli tuoi abitatori, i quali erano temuti da tutta universa gente!	17 "They wil raise the lament for you as fol ows: You are destroyed then, vanished from the seas,famous city, former sea-power, who with her citizens, used to spread terror al over the mainland!
18 Ora si maraviglieranno li navicatori nel dì della tua paura, e le insule si turberanno nel mare, però che niuno è uscito di te.	18 Now the islands are trembling on the day of your fal ; the islands of the sea are terrified by your end.
19 Però che questo dice lo Signore Iddio: quando io t'averò fatto come città desolata, e come le cittadi che non sono abitate, (e arrecato) e menato sopra [di te] lo abisso, e averannoti coperta molte acque;	19 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: "When I make you a ruined city like other deserted cities, when Iraise the deep against you and the ocean covers you,
20 e averotti (biasimata e) tratta come quelli che iscendono nello lago (cioè nello inferno) al popolo sempiterno, e averò collocato te nella terra novissima, come le oscuritadi antiche, con quelli che sono menati nello lago (cioè nello inferno), acciò che tu non sia abitata; e quando io averò data la gloria nella terra delli viventi;	20 when I fling you down with those who go down into the abyss, with the people of long ago, and putyou deep in the underworld, in the ruins of long ago with those who sink into oblivion, so that you can nevercome back or be restored to the land of the living,
21 io ti farò tornare a nulla, e non sarai trovata più in sempiterno; questo dice lo Signore Iddio.	21 I wil make you an object of terror; you wil not exist. People wil look for you but never find you again-- declares the Lord Yahweh!" '
