Levitico 24

1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e disse:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 Comanda ai figliuoli d'Israel, che ti rechino l'olio dell' uliva purissimo e bello per mettere nelle lampade, che istanno di fuori dal velo della testimonianza nel tabernacolo del patto.	2 "Order the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning regularly.
3 E Aaron sì le porrà nel cospetto del Signore; e questo farete dal vespro insino alla mattina, e saravvi legge sempiternale.	3 In the meeting tent, outside the veil that hangs in front of the commandments, Aaron shall set up the lamps to burn before the LORD regularly, from evening till morning. Thus, by a perpetual statute for you and your descendants,
4 Si le porrà suso nel candeliere mondissimo (sempre) nel cospetto del Signore.	4 the lamps shall be set up on the pure gold lampstand, to burn regularly before the LORD.
5 Piglierai della farina, e cuocerai dessa, e fara'ne dodici pani, li quali ciascuno sarà di due decime (di farina).	5 "You shall take fine flour and bake it into twelve cakes, using two tenths of an ephah of flour for each cake.
6 Dei quali sei ne porrai sopra una mensa mondissima da uno canto, e sei dall'altro (canto della detta mensa) dinnanzi al Signore.	6 These you shall place in two piles, six in each pile, on the pure gold table before the LORD.
7 E porrai sopra loro incenso lucidissimo, acciò che sia pane in memoria della oblazione del Signore.	7 On each pile put some pure frankincense, which shall serve as an oblation to the LORD, a token offering for the bread.
8 E muteransi per cadauno sabbato dinnanzi al Signore, ricevuti che saranno dai figliuoli d'Israel per patto sempiterno.	8 Regularly on each sabbath day this bread shall be set out afresh before the LORD, offered on the part of the Israelites by an everlasting agreement.
9 E saranno (questi pani) di Aaron e de' suoi figliuoli, acciò che li mangin nel luogo santo; però che gli è santo de' santi delli sacrifici del Signore in perpetuo.	9 It shall belong to Aaron and his sons, who must eat it in a sacred place, since, as something most sacred among the various oblations to the LORD, it is his by perpetual right."
10 Uno figliuolo d'una donna d'Israel, lo quale, aveva avuto d'uno uomo d'Egitto fra i figliuoli d'Israel, azzuffossi nelli alloggiamenti con uno uomo israelita.	10 Among the Israelites there was a man born of an Israelite mother (Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan) and an Egyptian father.
11 E avendo biastemato Iddio maledicendolo, fue menato a Moisè. E la madre sua avea nome Salumit, figliuola di Dabri, della schiatta di Dan.	11 This man quarreled publicly with another Israelite and cursed and blasphemed the LORD'S name. So the people brought him to Moses,
12 E miserlo in prigione, insino a tanto che sapessero quello che Iddio volesse (che ne fosse fatto).	12 who kept him in custody till a decision from the LORD should settle the case for them.
13 E parlò Iddio a Moise;	13 The LORD then said to Moses,
14 e dissegli: mena cotesto uomo fuori degli al loggiamenti, e chiunque l'udì biastemare sì gli porrà la mano in capo; e tutto il popolo il lapidi.	14 "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him.
15 E al popolo di queste parole: l'uomo che maledicerà lo suo Iddio, patirà la pena.	15 Tell the Israelites: Anyone who curses his God shall bear the penalty of his sin;
16 E chi biastemerà lo nome di Dio, sia morto; e tutto il popolo il lapidi, o cittadino o forestiere che sia. Chi biastemerà lo nome di Dio, sia morto.	16 whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death. The whole community shall stone him; alien and native alike must be put to death for blaspheming the LORD'S name.
17 E chi percuoterà l'uomo sì che muoia, sia morto.	17 "Whoever takes the life of any human being shall be put to death;
18 E chi ucciderà la bestia d'altrui, renderanne una così fatta.	18 whoever takes the life of an animal shall make restitution of another animal. A life for a life!
19 E chi farà macula niuna al suo prossimo, quello medesimo sia fatto a lui.	19 Anyone who inflicts an injury on his neighbor shall receive the same in return.
20 Rottura per rottura. E se lo dente, lo dente; e se l'occhio, l'occhio gli sia tratto; (e questo giudicio sarà fra voi,) cioè che in quello modo che tu offendi altrui, sia offeso tu.	20 Limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth! The same injury that a man gives another shall be inflicted on him in return.
21 Chi percuoterà l'animale, restitua uno altro. Chi percuoterà l'uomo, sia punito.	21 Whoever slays an animal shall make restitution, but whoever slays a man shall be put to death.
22 Eguale giudicio sarà fra di voi, o sia forestiere o sia cittadino che abbi peccato; e io sono lo vostro Iddio.	22 You shall have but one rule, for alien and native alike. I, the LORD, am your God."
23 Parlò Moisè ai figliuoli d'Israel; e menarono quello uomo a lapidarlo, secondo che Iddio li comandò.	23 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him; they carried out the command that the LORD had given Moses.
