BIBBIA VOLGARE	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 (In fine) salmo di David. Rallegratevi, giusti del Signore; alli dritti conviensi la laude.	1 To David himself, understanding. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
2 Confessate al Signore nella citara; laudatelo nel salterio [di] dieci corde.	2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 Cantate a lui il cantico nuovo; laudatelo bene nella voce.	3 Because I was silent my bones grew old; whilst I cried out all the day long.
4 Imperò che la parola del Signore è drìtta, e tutte le sue opere sono nella fede.	4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I am turned in my anguish, whilst the thorn is fastened.
5 Egli ama la misericordia e il giudicio; piena è la terra della misericordia del Signore.	5 I have acknowledged my sin to thee, and my injustice I have not concealed. I said I will confess against myself my injustice to the Lord: and thou hast forgiven the wickedness of my sin.
6 Con la parola del Signore sono fermati i cieli; e con lo spirito della sua bocca ogni loro virtù.	6 For this shall every one that is holy pray to thee in a seasonable time. And yet in a flood of many waters, they shall not come nigh unto him.
7 Congregante le acque del mare come nell' otro; ponente li abissi nelli suoi tesauri.	7 Thou art my refuge from the trouble which hath encompassed me: my joy, deliver me from them that surround me.
8 Ogni terra tema il Signore; però che da lui commoveransi tutti gli abitatori del mondo.	8 I will give thee understanding, and I will instruct thee in this way, in which thou shalt go: I will fix my eyes upon thee.
9 Imperò [che] egli disse, e sono fatti; egli comandò, e sono creati.	9 Do not become like the horse and the mule, who have no understanding. With bit and bridle bind fast their jaws, who come not near unto thee.
10 Il Signore dissipa i consigli delle genti; e riprova i pensieri de' popoli, e riprova i consigli de' principi.	10 Many are the scourges of the sinner, but mercy shall encompass him that hopeth in the Lord.
11 Ma il consiglio del Signore sta in eterno; pensieri del suo cuore sono dalla generazione in la generazione;	11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye just, and glory, all ye right of heart.
12 Beata la gente, della quale è il suo Signore, Iddio; il popolo ch' egli ha eletto a sè in eredità.
13 Dal cielo risguardò il Signore; vide tutti li figliuoli delli uomini.
14 Dal suo apparecchiato abitacolo risguardò sopra tutti che àbitano in terra.
15 Egli formò a ciascuno loro cuore; egl' intende tutte le sue opere.
16 Non salvarassi il re per molta virtù; e il gigante non si salvarà nella moltitudine della sua virtù.
17 Fallace è il cavallo alla salute; non si salvarà nella molta virtù sua.
18 Ecco che li occhi del Signore sono sopra gli suoi tementi, e in coloro che sperano nella sua misericordia.
19 Acciò che liberi loro anime dalla morte, e nutrichili nel tempo di fame.
20 L'anima nostra sostenerà il Signore; perchè egli è nostro aiutore e defensore.
21 Imperò che abbiamo sperato nel suo santo nome, in lui rallegrerassi il nostro cuore.
22 Sia fatta, Signore, la tua misericordia sopra di noi; sì come abbiamo sperato in te.
