1 They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent which David had pitched for it. Then they offered up holocausts and peace offerings to God.	1 Ils apportèrent l’Arche de Dieu et l’installèrent dans la tente que David avait préparée pour elle, puis on offrit à Dieu de l’encens et des offrandes de paix.
2 When David had finished offering up the holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD,	2 Après avoir offert les holocaustes et les sacrifices de communion, David bénit le peuple au nom de Yahvé.
3 and distributed to every Israelite, to every man and every woman, a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a raisin cake.	3 Puis il distribua à tous les Israélites, hommes et femmes, à chacun une miche de pain, un morceau de viande rôtie et un gâteau de raisins.
4 He now appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD, the God of Israel.	4 David désigna quelques-uns des lévites pour servir devant l’Arche de Yahvé, pour célébrer, remercier et rendre gloire à Yahvé Dieu d’Israël:
5 Asaph was their chief, and second to him were Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. 8 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds.	8 Rendez grâce à Yahvé, invoquez son Nom, Proclamez ses hauts faits parmi les peuples.
9 Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds.	9 Chantez pour lui, chantez ses louanges, Racontez toutes ses merveilles.
10 Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!	10 Gloire à son Saint Nom, Que les cœurs qui cherchent Yahvé se réjouissent!
11 Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.	11 Cherchez Yahvé et sa puissance, Cherchez sa face inlassablement,
12 Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered,	12 Rappelez-vous les merveilles qu’il a faites, Ses miracles, les jugements qui sont sortis de sa bouche.
13 You descendants of Israel, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!	13 Descendants d’Israël, son serviteur, Fils de Jacob, son élu.
14 He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail.	14 C’est Yahvé notre Dieu, Ses lois emplissent toute la terre.
15 He remembers forever his covenant which he made binding for a thousand generations--	15 Souvenez-vous de son alliance à jamais, De sa promesse faite à mille générations.
16 Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac;	16 De l’Alliance qu’il a faite pour toujours avec Abraham, De sa promesse à Isaac,
17 Which he established for Jacob by statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant,	17 il en a fait une loi pour Jacob, Une alliance éternelle pour Israël.
18 Saying, "To you will I give the land of Canaan as your allotted inheritance."	18 Il a dit: “Je vous donne en héritage, La terre de Canaan;
19 When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there,	19 Vous étiez pourtant peu nombreux, Étrangers aux pays, vous ne comptiez pour rien.”
20 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,	20 Ils erraient de nation en nation, D’un royaume à l’autre.
21 He let no one oppress them, and for their sake he rebuked kings:	21 Mais il ne laissa personne les opprimer, Et punit des rois par égard pour eux.
22 "Touch not my anointed, and to my prophets do no harm."	22 “Ne touchez pas à mes oints, Ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes. ”
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth, announce his salvation, day after day	23 Chantez pour Yahvé, toute la terre. Proclamez jour après jour son salut.
24 Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.	24 Annoncez sa gloire parmi les nations, Ses merveilles à tous les peuples.
25 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; and awesome is he, beyond all gods.	25 Yahvé est grand et mérite les louanges, il est plus redoutable que tous les dieux.
26 For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens.	26 Moins que rien sont les dieux des nations, C’est Yahvé lui-même qui fit les cieux.
27 Splendor and majesty go before him; praise and joy are in his holy place.	27 Splendeur et majesté s’avancent devant lui, Louange et joie sont dans son sanctuaire.
28 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and praise;	28 Rendez à Yahvé, familles des peuples, Rendez à Yahvé gloire et louange.
29 Give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts, and enter his presence; worship the LORD in holy attire.	29 Rendez à Yahvé la gloire de son Nom. Apportez des offrandes et prosternez-vous devant lui. Servez Yahvé en ornements sacrés.
30 Tremble before him, all the earth; he has made the world firm, not to be moved.	30 Sois attentive, terre entière, devant lui! Fort, il a fait le monde, il ne peut être ébranlé.
31 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let them say among the nations: The LORD is king.	31 Que les cieux se réjouissent, que la terre exulte de joie! Annoncez à toutes les nations: Yahvé est roi!
32 Let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains rejoice and all that is in them!	32 Que gronde la mer et tout ce qu’elle contient, Que jubilent les champs et tout ce qui est en eux.
33 Then shall all the trees of the forest exult before the LORD, for he comes: he comes to rule the earth.	33 Que les arbres de la forêt crient de joie En présence de Yahvé, Car il vient pour gouverner la terre.
34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever;	34 Rendez grâce à Yahvé, car il est bon, Son amour durera toujours.
35 And say, "Save us, O God, our savior, gather us and deliver us from the nations, That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you."	35 Dites: “Sauve-nous, ô Dieu, notre Sauveur, Rassemble-nous et délivre-nous d’entre les nations, pour que nous puissions rendre grâce à ton saint Nom? Et que notre gloire soit de te louer.
36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, through all eternity! Let all the people say, Amen! Alleluia.	36 Béni soit Yahvé Dieu d’Israël, Éternellement et pour toujours! Que tous les peuples disent: Amen, Alléluia!”
37 Then David left Asaph and his brethren there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly according to the daily ritual;	37 David laissa là, devant l’Arche d’Alliance de Yahvé, Asaf et ses frères lévites pour le service de l’Arche selon le rituel de chaque jour.
38 he also left there Obed-edom and sixty-eight of his brethren, including Obed-edom, son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, to be gatekeepers.	38 Il laissa aussi Obed-Édom avec ses 68 frères. Obed-Édom, fils de Yédoutoun, et Hosa étaient les gardiens de la porte.
39 But the priest Zadok and his priestly brethren he left before the Dwelling of the LORD on the high place at Gibeon,	39 Il laissa Sadoq et les prêtres, ses frères, devant la Sainte Tente de Yahvé sur le Haut-Lieu qui est à Gabaon,
40 to offer holocausts to the LORD on the altar of holocausts regularly, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the law of the LORD which he has decreed for Israel.	40 pour offrir l’holocauste à Yahvé, matin et soir, sur l’autel de l’holocauste, et pour accomplir tout ce qui est écrit dans la Loi que Yahvé a prescrite à Israël.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the others who were chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "because his kindness endures forever,"	41 Avec eux se trouvaient Héman et Yédoutoun, et d’autres choisis et désignés par leurs noms pour rendre gloire à Dieu: “Car son amour est éternel.”
42 with trumpets and cymbals for accompaniment, and instruments for the sacred chant. The sons of Jeduthun kept the gate.	42 Avec eux étaient ceux qui devaient jouer de la trompette, des cymbales et de tous les instruments de musique pour accompagner les hymnes à Dieu. Les fils de Yédoutoun se tenaient à la porte.
43 Then all the people departed, each to his own home, and David returned to bless his household.	43 Après cela tous repartirent, chacun chez lui; David aussi s’en retourna pour bénir sa maison.
