LXX	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 ωδη των αναβαθμων οι πεποιθοτες επι κυριον ως ορος σιων ου σαλευθησεται εις τον αιωνα ο κατοικων ιερουσαλημ	1 A song of ascents. Of David. I Had not the LORD been with us, let Israel say,
2 ορη κυκλω αυτης και κυριος κυκλω του λαου αυτου απο του νυν και εως του αιωνος	2 Had not the LORD been with us, when people rose against us,
3 οτι ουκ αφησει την ραβδον των αμαρτωλων επι τον κληρον των δικαιων οπως αν μη εκτεινωσιν οι δικαιοι εν ανομια χειρας αυτων	3 They would have swallowed us alive, for their fury blazed against us.
4 αγαθυνον κυριε τοις αγαθοις και τοις ευθεσι τη καρδια	4 The waters would have engulfed us, the torrent overwhelmed us;
5 τους δε εκκλινοντας εις τας στραγγαλιας απαξει κυριος μετα των εργαζομενων την ανομιαν ειρηνη επι τον ισραηλ	5 seething waters would have drowned us.
	6 Blessed be the LORD, who did not leave us to be torn by their fangs.
	7 We escaped with our lives like a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare was broken and we escaped.
	8 Our help is the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
