1 Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide.	1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 I cieli narrano la gloria di Dio,l’opera delle sue mani annuncia il firmamento.	2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 Il giorno al giorno ne affida il raccontoe la notte alla notte ne trasmette notizia.	3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Senza linguaggio, senza parole,senza che si oda la loro voce,	4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 per tutta la terra si diffonde il loro annuncioe ai confini del mondo il loro messaggio.Là pose una tenda per il sole	5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 che esce come sposo dalla stanza nuziale:esulta come un prode che percorre la via.	6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 Sorge da un estremo del cieloe la sua orbita raggiunge l’altro estremo:nulla si sottrae al suo calore.	7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 La legge del Signore è perfetta,rinfranca l’anima;la testimonianza del Signore è stabile,rende saggio il semplice.	8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 I precetti del Signore sono retti,fanno gioire il cuore;il comando del Signore è limpido,illumina gli occhi.	9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 Il timore del Signore è puro,rimane per sempre;i giudizi del Signore sono fedeli,sono tutti giusti,	10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 più preziosi dell’oro,di molto oro fino,più dolci del mielee di un favo stillante.	11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Anche il tuo servo ne è illuminato,per chi li osserva è grande il profitto.	12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Le inavvertenze, chi le discerne?Assolvimi dai peccati nascosti.	13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Anche dall’orgoglio salva il tuo servoperché su di me non abbia potere;allora sarò irreprensibile,sarò puro da grave peccato.	14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
15 Ti siano gradite le parole della mia bocca;davanti a te i pensieri del mio cuore,Signore, mia roccia e mio redentore.
