1 'Canto delle ascensioni.' Dalla giovinezza molto mi hanno perseguitato, - lo dica Israele -	1 Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: that walk in his ways.
2 dalla giovinezza molto mi hanno perseguitato, ma non hanno prevalso.	2 For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Sul mio dorso hanno arato gli aratori, hanno fatto lunghi solchi.	3 Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house.
4 Il Signore è giusto: ha spezzato il giogo degli empi.	4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 Siano confusi e volgano le spalle quanti odiano Sion.	5 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Siano come l'erba dei tetti: prima che sia strappata, dissecca;	6 And mayest thou see thy children's children, peace upon Israel.
7 non se ne riempie la mano il mietitore, né il grembo chi raccoglie covoni.
8 I passanti non possono dire: "La benedizione del Signore sia su di voi, vi benediciamo nel nome del Signore".
