Salmos 28

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. Yo te invoco, Señor; tú eres mi Roca, no te quedes callado, porque si no me respondes, seré como los que bajan al sepulcro.	1 [Of David] To you, Yahweh, I cry, my rock, do not be deaf to me! If you stay silent I shall be like thosewho sink into oblivion.
2 Oye la voz de mi plegaria, cuando clamo hacia ti, cuando elevo mis manos hacia tu Santuario.	2 Hear the sound of my prayer when I cal upon you, when I raise my hands, Yahweh, towards your Holyof Holies.
3 No me arrastres con los malvados ni con los que hacen el mal: con los que hablan de paz a su prójimo, mientras su corazón está lleno de maldad.	3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with evil-doers, who talk to their partners of peace withtreachery in their hearts.
4 Trátalos conforme a sus acciones, como corresponde a su mala conducta; trátalos según la obra de sus manos, págales su merecido.	4 Repay them as their deeds deserve, as befits their treacherous actions; as befits their handiworkrepay them, let their deserts fall back on themselves.
5 Ellos no valoran lo que hace el Señor ni la obra de sus manos: por eso él los derribará y no volverá a edificarlos.	5 They do not comprehend the deeds of Yahweh, the work of his hands. May he pul them down and notrebuild them!
6 Bendito sea el Señor, porque oyó la voz de mi plegaria;	6 Blessed be Yahweh for he hears the sound of my prayer.
7 el Señor es mi fuerza y mi escudo, mi corazón confía en él. Mi corazón se alegra porque recibí su ayuda: por eso le daré gracias con mi canto.	7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield, in him my heart trusts. I have been helped; my body hasrecovered its vigour, with all my heart I thank him.
8 El Señor es la fuerza de su pueblo, el baluarte de salvación para su Ungido.	8 Yahweh is the strength of his people, a safe refuge for his anointed.
9 Salva a tu pueblo y bendice a tu herencia; apaciéntalos y sé su guía para siempre.	9 Save your people, bless your heritage, shepherd them and carry them for ever!
