BIBLIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Del maestro de coro. Salmo. De David.	1 A psalm of Asaph. The LORD, the God of gods, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
2 Cuando el profeta Natán le visitó después que aquél se había unido a Betsabé.	2 From Zion God shines forth. perfect in beauty.
3 Tenme piedad, oh Dios, según tu amor, por tu inmensa ternura borra mi delito,	3 Our God comes and will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes, storming fiercely round about.
4 lávame a fondo de mi culpa, y de mi pecado purifícame.	4 God summons the heavens above and the earth to the judgment of his people:
5 Pues mi delito yo lo reconozco, mi pecado sin cesar está ante mí;	5 "Gather my faithful ones before me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."
6 contra ti, contra ti solo he pecado, lo malo a tus ojos cometí. Por que aparezca tu justicia cuando hablas y tu victoria cuando juzgas.	6 The heavens proclaim divine justice, for God alone is the judge. Selah
7 Mira que en culpa ya nací, pecador me concibió mi madre.	7 "Listen, my people, I will speak; Israel, I will testify against you; God, your God, am I.
8 Mas tú amas la verdad en lo íntimo del ser, y en lo secreto me enseñas la subiduría.	8 Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, nor for your holocausts, set before me daily.
9 Rocíame con el hisopo, y seré limpio, lávame, y quedaré más blanco que la nieve.	9 I need no bullock from your house, no goats from your fold.
10 Devuélveme el son del gozo y la alegría, exulten los huesos que machacaste tú.	10 For every animal of the forest is mine, beasts by the thousands on my mountains.
11 Retira tu faz de mis pecados, borra todas mis culpas.	11 I know every bird of the heavens; the creatures of the field belong to me.
12 Crea en mí, oh Dios, un puro corazón, un espíritu firme dentro de mí renueva;	12 Were I hungry, I would not tell you, for mine is the world and all that fills it.
13 no me rechaces lejos de tu rostro, no retires de mí tu santo espíritu.	13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
14 Vuélveme la alegría de tu salvación, y en espíritu generoso afiánzame;	14 Offer praise as your sacrifice to God; fulfill your vows to the Most High.
15 enseñaré a los rebeldes tus caminos, y los pecadores volverán a ti.	15 Then call on me in time of distress; I will rescue you, and you shall honor me."
16 Líbrame de la sangre, Dios, Dios de mi salvación, y aclamará mi lengua tu justicia;	16 But to the wicked God says: "Why do you recite my commandments and profess my covenant with your lips?
17 abre, Señor, mis labios, y publicará mi boca tu alabanza.	17 You hate discipline; you cast my words behind you!
18 Pues no te agrada el sacrificio, si ofrezco un holocausto no lo aceptas.	18 When you see thieves, you befriend them; with adulterers you throw in your lot.
19 El sacrificio a Dios es un espíritu contrito; un corazón contrito y humillado, oh Dios, no lo desprecias.	19 You give your mouth free rein for evil; you harness your tongue to deceit.
20 ¡Favorece a Sión en tu benevolencia, reconstruye las murallas de Jerusalén!	20 You sit maligning your own kin, slandering the child of your own mother.
21 Entonces te agradarán los sacrificios justos, - holocausto y oblación entera - se ofrecerán entonces sobre tu altar novillos.	21 When you do these things should I be silent? Or do you think that I am like you? I accuse you, I lay the charge before you.
22 «¡Entended esto bien los que olvidáis a Dios, no sea que yo arrebate y no haya quien libre!	22 "Understand this, you who forget God, lest I attack you with no one to rescue.
23 El que ofrece sacrificios de acción de gracias me da gloria, al hombre recto le mostraré la salvación de Dios». SALMOS Cap.51	23 Those who offer praise as a sacrifice honor me; to the obedient I will show the salvation of God."
