1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Pan skierował do mnie te słowa:
2 'Son of man, there were once two women, daughters of the same mother.	2 Synu człowieczy! Były dwie kobiety, córki tej samej matki.
3 They played the whore in Egypt; they played the whore when they were stil girls. There their nippleswere handled, there their virgin breasts were first fondled.	3 Uprawiały nierząd w Egipcie - od młodości uprawiały nierząd. Tam już ściskano ich piersi i przygniatano dziewicze ich łona.
4 Their names were: Oholah the elder, Oholibah her sister. They belonged to me and bore sons anddaughters. As regards their names, Samaria is Oholah, Jerusalem Oholibah.	4 A imiona ich: Starszej - Ohola, siostry zaś jej - Oholiba. Stały się one moimi i zrodziły synów i córki. A oznaczają imiona ich: Ohola - Samarię, a Oholiba - Jerozolimę.
5 Now Oholah played the whore, although she belonged to me; she lusted after her lovers, herneighbours the Assyrians,	5 Ohola, kiedy mi podlegała, uprawiała nierząd i zapałała miłością ku swoim kochankom - Asyryjczykom, sąsiadom,
6 dressed in purple, governors and magistrates, all of them young and desirable, and skilful horsemen.	6 wielu możnowładcom i namiestnikom, ubranym w fioletową purpurę, ku wszystkim powabnym młodzieńcom i jeźdźcom dosiadającym koni.
7 She played the whore with al of them, the pick of Assyria, and defiled herself with al the foul idols ofal those with whom she was in love,	7 Tym wszystkim spośród wybitnych Asyryjczyków oddawała swoje nierządne pieszczoty i kalała się bożkami tych, którzy w nich rozpalili nierządne uczucia.
8 nor did she give up the whoring begun in Egypt, where men had slept with her from her girlhood,fondling her virgin breasts, debauching her over and over again.	8 Lecz ona nie poniechała swego nierządu z Egiptu, bo tam sypiali z nią w młodości jej i przygniatali dziewicze jej łono, oddając się z nią swoim czynom nierządnym.
9 'That is why I have handed her over to her lovers, to the Assyrians with whom she was in love.	9 Dlatego wydałem ją w ręce jej kochanków, w ręce Asyryjczyków, do których pałała miłością.
10 They stripped her naked, seized her sons and daughters and put her to the sword. She becamenotorious among women for the justice done on her.	10 Ci zaś odkryli jej nagość, zabrali jej synów i córki, a ją samą zabili mieczem, tak że stała się dla kobiet przestrogą, bo wykonano na niej wyrok.
11 'Her sister Oholibah saw al this, but she was even more depraved, and her whorings were worsethan her sister's.	11 Choć widziała to siostra jej Oholiba, dalej posunęła się w swojej żądzy, a nierząd jej stał się większy od nierządu jej siostry.
12 She fel in love with her neighbours the Assyrians, governors and magistrates, dressed in sumptuousclothes, skilful horsemen, al young and desirable.	12 Zapałała żądzą do Asyryjczyków, możnowładców i namiestników, sąsiadów kosztownie ubranych, do jeźdźców dosiadających koni i wszystkich powabnych młodzieńców.
13 Then I saw that she had defiled herself, that both sisters were equally bad.	13 I widziałem, że się splamiła i że obydwie kroczyły tą samą drogą.
14 She began whoring worse than ever; no sooner had she seen wal -carvings of men, pictures ofChaldaeans coloured vermilion,	14 W swoich czynach nierządnych poszła nawet jeszcze dalej: bo gdy ujrzała na ścianie wymalowanych mężów, malowane czerwoną farbą obrazy Chaldejczyków,
15 men with sashes round their waists and elaborate turbans on their heads, all so lordly of bearing,depicting the Babylonians, natives of Chaldaea,	15 opasanych wokół bioder swymi pasami, z obszernymi zawojami na głowach, a wszyscy oni z wyglądu przypominali bohaterów, podobni do Babilończyków, pochodzących z ziemi chaldejskiej.
16 than she fell in love with them at first sight and sent messengers to them in Chaldaea.	16 zapałała ku nim żądzą tylko dzięki obrazowi, jaki widziały jej oczy. Wyprawiła więc posłów do nich, do ziemi chaldejskiej.
17 The Babylonians came to her, shared her love-bed and defiled her with their whoring. Once defiledby them, she withdrew her affection from them.	17 A Babilończycy przybyli do niej, by dzielić z nią łoże i zbezcześcili ją swoimi czynami nierządnymi. A gdy ją splamili, dusza jej odwróciła się od nich.
18 Thus she flaunted her whoring, exposing her body, until I withdrew my affection from her as I hadwithdrawn it from her sister.	18 I gdy tak ujawniła swoje czyny nierządne i odsłoniła swoją nagość, wówczas i moja dusza odwróciła się od niej tak, jak odwróciła się od jej siostry.
19 But she began whoring worse than ever, remembering her girlhood, when she had played the whorein Egypt,	19 I pomnożyła jeszcze swoje czyny nierządne, gdy wspomniała na dni swej młodości, kiedy to uprawiała nierząd w ziemi egipskiej.
20 when she had been in love with their profligates, big-membered as donkeys, ejaculating as violentlyas stal ions.	20 I zapałała żądzą do swoich kochanków, którzy w sile swych członków i żądzy byli podobni do osłów i ogierów.
21 'You were hankering for the debauchery of your girlhood, when they used to handle your nipples inEgypt and fondle your young breasts.	21 I zatęskniłaś za rozpustą swojej młodości, gdy w Egipcie przygniatano twe łono i ściskano piersi.
22 And so, Oholibah, Lord Yahweh says this, "I shal set al your lovers against you, from whom youhave withdrawn your affection, and bring them to assault you from al directions:	22 Dlatego, Oholibo, tak mówi Pan Bóg: Ja pobudzam przeciwko tobie twoich kochanków, tych, od których odwróciła się dusza twoja, i przyprowadzę ich zewsząd przeciw tobie:
23 the Babylonians and al the Chaldaeans, the men of Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and al the Assyrianswith them, young and desirable, al governors and magistrates, al famous lords and skilful horsemen.	23 Babilończyków i wszystkich Chaldejczyków, tych z Pekod, Szoa i Koa, a z nimi wszystkich Asyryjczyków, młodzieńców powabnych, możnowładców i namiestników, wszystkich co najdzielniejszych wojowników, sławnych mężów gotowych na koń.
24 From the north, they wil advance on you with chariots and wagons and an international army andbeset you with shield, buckler and helmet on al sides. I shal charge them to pass sentence on you and they wil pass sentence on you as they think fit.	24 Przybędą do ciebie od północy na wozach żelaznych i rydwanach w niezliczonym tłumie. Zewsząd podniosą przeciwko tobie tarczę, szyszak i przyłbicę. Przedłożę im sprawę, aby wydali na ciebie wyrok według swoich sądów.
25 I shal direct my jealousy against you; they wil treat you with fury; they will cut off your nose and ears,and what is left of your family wil fal by the sword; they wil seize your sons and daughters, and what is left wilbe burnt.	25 Skieruję przeciwko tobie moją zapalczywość, tak że srogo będą się z tobą obchodzili; odetną ci nos i uszy, a to, co po tobie zostanie, upadnie pod mieczem. Zabiorą ci synów i córki, a resztę ogień strawi.
26 They will strip off your garments and rob you of your jewels.	26 Zdejmą z ciebie szaty, zabiorą ci twe kosztowne ozdoby.
27 I shal put an end to your debauchery and to the whorings you began in Egypt; you wil not look to theEgyptians any more, you wil never think of them again.	27 Położę kres twojej rozpuście i nierządowi twemu, co się wywodzi z ziemi egipskiej, tak że już więcej nie podniesiesz ku nim oczu ani więcej nie wspomnisz na Egipt.
28 For the Lord Yahweh says this: Now, I shal hand you over to those you hate, to those for whom youno longer feel affection.	28 Bo tak mówi Pan Bóg: Oto wydaję cię w ręce tych, których nienawidzisz, w ręce tych, od których odwróciła się twoja dusza.
29 They will treat you with hatred, they wil rob you of the entire fruit of your labours and leave you starknaked. And thus your shameful whorings will be exposed, your debauchery and your whorings.	29 Z nienawiścią będą się z tobą obchodzili, zabiorą ci wszystkie owoce twej pracy i pozostawią cię nagą i odkrytą, tak iż ujawni się twoja nagość, twój nierząd, twoja rozpusta i nierządne czyny.
30 This wil happen to you because you have played the whore with the nations and have defiledyourself with their foul idols.	30 A to ci się przydarzy dlatego, żeś uprawiała nierząd z obcymi narodami i żeś się splamiła ich bożkami.
31 Since you have copied your sister's behaviour, I shal put her cup in your hand."	31 Naśladowałaś postępowanie swej siostry, wobec tego i jej kielich podam w twoje ręce.
32 The Lord Yahweh says this: You wil drink your sister's cup, a cup both deep and wide, leading tolaughter and mockery, so ample the draught it holds.	32 Tak mówi Pan Bóg: Pić będziesz kielich twej siostry, kielich głęboki i szeroki - wiele on zmieści.
33 You wil be fil ed with drunkenness and sorrow. Cup of affliction and devastation, the cup of yoursister Samaria,	33 Upojenia i bólu jest pełen ten kielich opuszczenia i grozy, kielich twej siostry Samarii.
34 you will drink it, you wil drain it; then you will break it in pieces and lacerate your own breasts. For Ihave spoken -- declared the Lord Yahweh.	34 Wypijesz go aż do dna i jeszcze w kawałki rozbijesz, i piersi swoje rozdrapiesz, bo Ja powiedziałem - wyrocznia Pana Boga.
35 "And so, the Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have forgotten me and have turned your back on me,you too will have to bear the weight of your debauchery and whorings." '	35 Dlatego tak mówi Pan Bóg: Ponieważ zapomniałaś o Mnie i odrzuciłaś Mnie za plecy, dlatego i ty także znoś swój bezwstyd i nierząd!
36 And Yahweh said to me, 'Son of man, are you ready to judge Oholah and Oholibah and charge themwith their loathsome practices?	36 Następnie rzekł do mnie Pan: Synu człowieczy, czyż nie masz sądzić Oholi i Oholiby? Wykaż im ich obrzydliwości:
37 They have been adulteresses, their hands are dripping with blood, they have committed adultery withtheir foul idols. As for the children they had borne me, they have offered them as burnt sacrifices to feed them.	37 że cudzołożyły i krew jest na ich rękach, że cudzołożyły ze swoimi bożkami, a także synów swoich, których dla Mnie rodziły, im na pożywienie przeprowadzały przez ogień.
38 And here is something else they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary today and haveprofaned my Sabbaths.	38 Ponadto i to także Mi uczyniły: świątynię moją splugawiły w ów dzień, oraz zbezcześciły moje szabaty.
39 The same day as sacrificing their children to their idols, they have been to my sanctuary andprofaned it. Yes, this is what they have done in my own house.	39 Bo gdy ofiarowały swych synów bożkom, to jeszcze w tym samym dniu wstępowały do świątyni bezczeszcząc ją. Oto jak postępowały w obrębie mego domu.
40 'Worse stil , they summoned men from far away, invited by messenger, and they came. For them youbathed, you painted your eyes, put on your jewels	40 Co więcej: posyłały po mężczyzn, aby przybywali z daleka, którzy, gdy tylko posłaniec do nich zawitał, natychmiast przychodzili. Dla nich to tyś się kąpała, upiększałaś swoje oczy i ubierałaś się w ozdoby.
41 and sat on a sumptuous bed, by which a table was laid out. On this you had put my incense and myoil.	41 Siadałaś na kosztownym łożu, przed którym był zastawiony stół. Na nim kładłaś moje kadzidło i mój olejek.
42 The noise of the carefree company resounded, made by the crowd of men brought in from the desert;they put bracelets on the women's arms and magnificent crowns on their heads.	42 Rozlegały się tam rozbawione głosy, a do mężczyzn z ludnych okolic przyłączali się opoje z pustyni. Wkładali oni bransolety na ich ręce, a na głowy ich ozdobne korony.
43 I thought, "That woman, worn out with adultery! Are they going to fornicate with her too?"	43 I tak sobie mawiałem: Ze zniszczoną przez cudzołóstwo teraz uprawiają nierząd
44 Yet they visit her like any common prostitute, just as they visited those profligate women Oholah andOholibah.	44 i przychodzą do niej tak, jak się przychodzi do nierządnicy. Oto tak przychodzono do Oholi i Oholiby, kobiet rozpustnych.
45 Al the same, there are upright men who wil judge them as adulteresses and murderesses arejudged, since they are adulteresses and their hands are dripping with blood."	45 Ale mężowie sprawiedliwi będą je sądzić tak, jak się sądzi cudzołożnice i zabójczynie, bo one są cudzołożnicami, a krew jest na ich rękach.

48 This is how I shall purge the country of debauchery, so that al women will be taught the lesson neverto ape your debauchery again.	48 Oto tak oczyszczę ten dom z rozpusty, aby wszystkie kobiety otrzymały ostrzeżenie i już więcej nie uprawiały rozpusty jak one.
49 Your debauchery will recoil on yourselves, and you wil bear the weight of the sins committed withyour foul idols and you wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh." '	49 Wam każą odpokutować za waszą rozpustę i cierpieć będziecie za wasze grzechy bałwochwalcze, a poznacie, że Ja jestem Pan Bóg.
