1 E ricevete l'uomo che non è fermo nella fede, non in le defensioni de' pensieri.	1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 Chè un altro si crede mangiare tutte le cose; ma quello ch' è infermo manduca dell' erbe.	2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 E quelli che manduca non abbia a schifo colui che non manduca; e quelli che non manduca non giudichi quello che manduca; Dio adunque l'uno e l'altro ha ricevuto (alla fede).	3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 E tu [chi se'] che giudichi l'altrui servo? ch' egli al suo signore sta ritto, o ch' egli cade? ma egli pur sta dritto; chè Dio è potente di rifermare colui.	4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 E viene uno, e giudica il dì intra il dì; e un altro giudica tutto il dì; e ciascuno abbonda nel suo senno.	5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 Imperò che chi cognosce il dì, per Dio il cognosce; e quelli che manduca, all' onore di Dio manduca....; e quelli che non manduca, non mangia per onore di Dio, e referisce grazie a Dio.	6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 E niuno di noi vive a sè, e niuno muore a sè.	7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 Chè se noi viviamo, a Dio viviamo; e se noi moriamo, a Dio moriamo; imperò che se noi viviamo, e se noi moriamo, del Signore siamo.	8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 Per questo fu morto Cristo e resuscitò, per signoreggiare li vivi e li morti.	9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 Ma tu perchè giudichi il tuo fratello? e perchè l'hai a schifo? Chè tutti staremo, dinanzi alla sedia di Cristo, al giudicio.	10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 Ed è scritto e dice il Signore: sì come io vivo, così ogni ginocchio s' inchinerà a me, e ogni lingua si confesserà al Signore.	11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 Adunque (sappiate questo, che) ciascuno renderà ragione a Dio delli suoi fatti.	12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Adunque non giudichiamo l'un altro; ma questo guardate, che non offendiate il vostro fratello, e non faccia uno all'altro scandolo.	13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
14 Che io so, e ho speranza nel Signore Iesù, che niuna cosa il mio fratello non fa, che sia sozza.	14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 Chè certo, se tu contristi e fai scandolo al tuo fratello per alcuno cibo, tu già non vai per la via della carità; non perdere, per tuo cibo, colui per il qual Cristo fu morto.	15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Adunque non sia detto male del nostro bene.	16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 Chè il regno di Dio non è mangiare nè beveraggio; ma è giustizia e pace, e allegrezza nel Spirito Santo.	17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 E quelli che in queste cose serve a Dio, quelli piace a Cristo, ed è lodato da tutti.	18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Adunque seguitiamo quelle cose che son di pace; e guardiamo di far uno all' altro quelle cose che si pertengono a edificazione.	19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
20 E non vogliamo distruggere l'opera di Dio per nostro mangiare; chè per certo tutte le cose. son monde (a coloro che son mondi e netti), e male si è a colui che manduca per offendimento.	20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 E meglio è non manducare [carne], e bere vino, o altra cosa per la quale il tuo fratello possa avere scandolo, ovver fievolezza di fede.	21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
22 Che se tu hai fede, appo te medesimo abbi dinanzi da Dio; e beato colui il qual non giudica sè medesimo contra quelle cose che Dio dona.	22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 E quelli che manduca quella cosa della quale egli ha conscienza, sì è dannato; chè non è quella cosa di fede. E ogni cosa che non è di fede, peccato.	23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
