1 Israel sì è una vite fronduta, e lo frutto è a lui eguale; egli moltiplicoe gli altari secondo la moltitudine del suo frutto; e secondo l'abbondanza della terra sua soprabbondò d' idolatrie.	1 Israel was a luxuriant vine yielding plenty of fruit. The more his fruit increased, the more altars he built;the richer his land became, the richer he made the sacred pil ars.
2 Lo cuore loro sì è (ora) diviso, e ora morranno; egli spezzerà le loro idolatrie, e spoglierà li loro altari.	2 Theirs is a divided heart; now they wil have to pay for it. He himself will hack down their altars andwreck their sacred pil ars.
3 Però che diranno: noi non abbiamo re, (noi non doviamo orare) e non temiamo Iddio; e lo re che farà a noi?	3 Then they wil say, 'We have no king because we have not feared Yahweh, but what could the king dofor us?'
4 Parlate le parole della visione sanza utilitade, e farete lo patto; e l' amaritudine germinerà come lo giudicio sopra li solchi del campo.	4 Speeches are made, oaths sworn to no purpose, agreements concluded, and so-called justicespreads like a poisonous weed along the furrows of the fields!
5 Li abitatori di Samaria lavorarono colle vacche di Betaven; però che il popolo suo pianse contro a lui, e li suoi guardiani piansono sopra lui nella gloria sua, però che passò da lui.	5 Samaria's citizens wil tremble for the calf of Beth-Aven; the people there wil mourn for it, so wil itsidol-priests, as they exult in its glory once it has been carried away!

13 Voi avete arato la malvagitade, e mieteste la empietade, e manucaste le biade di bugia; però che ti se' confidato nelle tue vie, nella (tua) moltitudine delli tuoi forti.	13 You have ploughed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity, you have eaten the fruit of falsehood.Because you have trusted in your chariots, in your great numbers of warriors,
14 Lo tumulto (e lo rumore) si leverà nel tuo popolo, e tutte le tue armadure saranno guastate, sì come guastato è Salmana dalla sua casa, il quale giudicò Baal nel dì della battaglia; e la madre sopra li figliuoli è allisa.	14 turmoil is going to break out among your people, and al your fortresses will be laid waste.
