LA SACRA BIBBIA	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Di Davide. A te grido, o Signore, mia rupe, non ti far sordo con me per timore che, se tu con me ti fai muto, io non venga annoverato fra quelli che scendono nella fossa.	1 A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
2 Ascolta la voce della mia supplica quando grido a te per aiuto, quando elevo le mie mani verso il tempio tuo santo.	2 Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to thee; when I lift up my hands to thy holy temple.
3 Non strapparmi via con gli empi, insieme a quanti operano il male; di pace essi parlano ai loro vicini, mentre malizia c'è nel loro cuore.	3 Draw me not away together with the wicked; and with the workers of iniquity destroy me not: Who speak peace with their neighbour, but evils are in their hearts.
4 Trattali secondo il loro operato, secondo la nequizia delle loro azioni, da' loro in conformità all'operato delle loro mani, rendi loro la ricompensa che essi meritano.	4 Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward.
5 Poiché non hanno badato alla condotta del Signore, né a quanto le sue mani hanno fatto, egli li distrugga e non siano più edificati.	5 Because they have not understood the works of the Lord, and the operations of his hands: thou shalt destroy them, and shalt not build them up.
6 Benedetto il Signore, che ha dato ascolto alla voce della mia afflizione. Il Signore è la mia forza e il mio scudo, confida in lui il mio cuore.	6 Blessed be the Lord, for he hath heard the voice of my supplication.
7 Sono stato soccorso, per questo esulta il mio cuore e col mio canto voglio rendergli grazie.	7 The Lord is my helper and my protector: in him hath my heart confided, and I have been helped. And my flesh hath flourished again, and with my will I will give praise to him.
8 Il Signore è forza per il suo popolo, baluardo di salvezza per il suo consacrato.	8 The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.
9 Salva il tuo popolo e benedici la tua eredità, sii il suo pastore e la sua guida per sempre.	9 Save, O Lord, thy people, and bless thy inheritance: and rule them and exalt them for ever.
