Psalmi 122

1 Canticum ascensionum. David. Laetatus sum in eo, quod dixerunt mihi: “ In domum Domini ibimus ”.	1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to you, who dwells in the heavens.
2 Stantes iam sunt pedes nostri in portis tuis, Ierusalem.	2 Behold, as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress, so our eyes are upon the Lord our God, until he may be merciful to us.
3 Ierusalem, quae aedificata est ut civitas, sibi compacta in idipsum.	3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. For we have been filled with utter disdain.
4 Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini, testimonium Israel, ad confitendum nomini Domini.	4 For our soul has been greatly filled. We are the disgrace of those who have abundance and the disdain of the arrogant.
5 Quia illic sederunt sedes ad iudicium, sedes domus David.
6 Rogate, quae ad pacem sunt Ierusalem: “ Securi sint diligentes te!
7 Fiat pax in muris tuis, et securitas in turribus tuis! ”.
8 Propter fratres meos et proximos meos loquar: “ Pax in te! ”.
9 Propter domum Domini Dei nostri exquiram bona tibi.
