1 Figyelmetekbe ajánlom, testvérek, az evangéliumot, amelyet hirdettem nektek, amelyet el is fogadtatok, és amelyben álltok.	1 I want to make quite clear to you, brothers, what the message of the gospel that I preached to you is;you accepted it and took your stand on it,
2 Általa üdvözülni is fogtok, ha megtartjátok úgy, ahogy hirdettem nektek, különben hiába lettetek volna hívőkké.	2 and you are saved by it, if you keep to the message I preached to you; otherwise your coming tobelieve was in vain.

14 Ha pedig Krisztus nem támadt fel, akkor hiábavaló a mi igehirdetésünk, és hiábavaló a ti hitetek is.	14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without substance, and so is your faith.
15 Sőt, Isten hamis tanúinak is bizonyulunk, mert tanúságot tettünk Isten ellen, hogy feltámasztotta Krisztust, pedig nem is támasztotta fel, ha a halottak valóban nem támadnak fel.	15 What is more, we have proved to be false witnesses to God, for testifying against God that he raisedChrist to life when he did not raise him -- if it is true that the dead are not raised.
16 Mert ha a halottak nem támadnak fel, Krisztus sem támadt fel.	16 For, if the dead are not raised, neither is Christ;
17 Ha pedig Krisztus nem támadt fel, hiábavaló a ti hitetek, és még mindig bűneitekben vagytok.	17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after al , been releasedfrom your sins.
18 Sőt, akkor azok is, akik Krisztusban elszenderültek, elvesztek.	18 In addition, those who have fal en asleep in Christ are utterly lost.
19 Ha csak ebben az életben reménykedünk Krisztusban, nyomorultabbak vagyunk minden más embernél.	19 If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are of al people the most pitiable.

31 Nap mint nap meghalok, olyan igaz ez, testvérek, mint a veletek való dicsekvésem Krisztus Jézusban, a mi Urunkban.	31 I swear by the pride that I take in you, in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I face death every day.
32 Ha – emberileg szólva – vadállatokkal küzdöttem Efezusban, mit használ nekem? Ha a halottak nem támadnak fel, akkor csak »együnk és igyunk, mert holnap meghalunk« .	32 If I fought wild animals at Ephesus in a purely human perspective, what had I to gain by it?
33 Ne engedjétek magatokat félrevezetni: »A gonosz társaság megrontja a jó erkölcsöt.«	33 If the dead are not going to be raised, then Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall be dead.
34 Józanodjatok ki teljesen, és ne vétkezzetek! Némelyek ugyanis nem ismerik Istent. Azért mondom ezt, hogy szégyelljétek magatokat!	34 So do not let anyone lead you astray, 'Bad company corrupts good ways.' Wake up from your stuporas you should and leave sin alone; some of you have no understanding of God; I tel you this to instil someshame in you.
35 Azt mondhatná azonban valaki: »Hogyan támadnak fel a halottak? Milyen testtel jönnek majd elő?«	35 Someone may ask: How are dead people raised, and what sort of body do they have when theycome?
36 Balga! Amit vetsz, nem kel életre, ha előbb meg nem hal.	36 How foolish! What you sow must die before it is given new life;
37 És amikor vetsz, nem a leendő növényt veted el, hanem a puszta magot, például a búzáét vagy másét.	37 and what you sow is not the body that is to be, but only a bare grain, of wheat I dare say, or someother kind;
38 Isten pedig alakot ad annak, amint akarja, mégpedig minden egyes magnak saját alakot.	38 it is God who gives it the sort of body that he has chosen for it, and for each kind of seed its own kindof body.
39 Nem minden test ugyanaz a test, hanem más az embereké, és más az állatoké, más a madaraké, és más a halaké.	39 Not al flesh is the same flesh: there is human flesh; animals have another kind of flesh, birds anotherand fish yet another.
40 És vannak égi testek és földi testek, de más az égiek fényessége, és más a földieké.	40 Then there are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies; the heavenly have a splendour of their own, andthe earthly a different splendour.

Mindegyik csillag különbözik fényességben a másik csillagtól.	41 The sun has its own splendour, the moon another splendour, and the stars yet another splendour;and the stars differ among themselves in splendour.

43 szégyenben vetik el, és dicsőségben támad fel; gyöngeségben vetik el, s erőben támad fel;	43 what is sown is contemptible but what is raised is glorious; what is sown is weak, but what is raisedis powerful;
44 érzéki testet vetnek el, és lelki test támad fel. Ha van érzéki test, van lelki test is.	44 what is sown is a natural body, and what is raised is a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, thereis a spiritual body too.
45 Ezt mondja az Írás is: »Ádám, az első ember élő lénnyé lett« , az utolsó Ádám pedig éltető Lélekké.	45 So the first man, Adam, as scripture says, became a living soul; and the last Adam has become alife-giving spirit.
46 De nem a lelki az első, hanem az érzéki, csak azután a lelki.	46 But first came the natural body, not the spiritual one; that came only afterwards.
47 Az első ember a földből való, földi , a második ember a mennyből való.	47 The first man, being made of earth, is earthly by nature; the second man is from heaven.
48 Amilyen a földi, olyanok a földiek is, és amilyen a mennyei, olyanok a mennyeiek is.	48 The earthly man is the pattern for earthly people, the heavenly man for heavenly ones.
49 És amint hordtuk a földi ember képét, úgy hordani fogjuk a mennyeinek képét is.	49 And as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so we shal bear the likeness of the heavenlyone.
50 Mondom pedig, testvérek, hogy test és vér nem örökölheti Isten országát, sem a romlandóság nem fogja örökölni a romolhatatlanságot.	50 What I am saying, brothers, is that mere human nature cannot inherit the kingdom of God: what isperishable cannot inherit what is imperishable.
51 Íme, titkot mondok nektek: Nem fogunk ugyan mindnyájan meghalni, de mindnyájan el fogunk változni:	51 Now I am going to tel you a mystery: we are not al going to fal asleep,
52 hirtelen, egy szempillantás alatt, a végső harsonaszóra, mert megszólal a harsona, és a halottak feltámadnak romolhatatlan állapotban, mi pedig elváltozunk.	52 but we are al going to be changed, instantly, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpetsounds. The trumpet is going to sound, and then the dead wil be raised imperishable, and we shal be changed,
53 Mert ennek a romlandó testnek romolhatatlanságba kell öltöznie, és ennek a halandó testnek halhatatlanságba kell öltöznie.	53 because this perishable nature of ours must put on imperishability, this mortal nature must put onimmortality.
54 Amikor pedig ez a romlandó test romolhatatlanságba öltözik, és ez a halandó halhatatlanságba, akkor beteljesedik az ige, amely írva van: »Elnyelte a halált a diadal.	54 And after this perishable nature has put on imperishability and this mortal nature has put onimmortality, then wil the words of scripture come true: Death is swal owed up in victory.
55 Halál, hol a te győzelmed? Halál, hol a te fullánkod?«	55 Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
56 A halál fullánkja a bűn, a bűn ereje pedig a törvény.	56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin comes from the Law.
57 De hála Istennek, aki megadta nekünk a győzelmet a mi Urunk Jézus Krisztus által.	57 Thank God, then, for giving us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.
58 Tehát, szeretett testvéreim, legyetek állhatatosak, rendíthetetlenek, tegyetek mindig többet az Úrért, hiszen tudjátok, hogy munkátok nem hiábavaló az Úrban.	58 So, my dear brothers, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord's work,being sure that in the Lord none of your labours is wasted.
