KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ezek után az Úr kiválasztott más hetvenkettőt, és elküldte őket kettesével maga előtt minden városba és helységbe, ahova menni készült.	1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them out ahead of him in pairs, to all thetowns and places he himself would be visiting.
2 Azt mondta nekik: »Az aratnivaló sok, de a munkás kevés. Kérjétek azért az aratás Urát, küldjön munkásokat az aratásába.	2 And he said to them, 'The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest tosend labourers to do his harvesting.
3 Menjetek! Íme, úgy küldelek titeket, mint bárányokat a farkasok közé.	3 Start off now, but look, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
4 Ne vigyetek erszényt, se tarisznyát, se sarut, és az úton senkit se köszöntsetek.	4 Take no purse with you, no haversack, no sandals. Salute no one on the road.
5 Ha valamelyik házba bementek, először ezt mondjátok: ‘Békesség e háznak!’	5 Whatever house you enter, let your first words be, "Peace to this house!"
6 Ha a békesség fia lakik ott, rászáll a ti békességtek; ha pedig nem, visszaszáll rátok.	6 And if a man of peace lives there, your peace will go and rest on him; if not, it will come back to you.
7 Maradjatok ugyanabban a házban, egyétek és igyátok, amijük van, mert méltó a munkás a maga bérére. Ne járjatok házról házra.	7 Stay in the same house, taking what food and drink they have to offer, for the labourer deserves hiswages; do not move from house to house.
8 Ha valamelyik városba betértek, és ott befogadnak titeket, egyétek, amit elétek tesznek.	8 Whenever you go into a town where they make you welcome, eat what is put before you.
9 Gyógyítsátok meg az ott lévő betegeket, és mondjátok nekik: ‘Elközelgett hozzátok az Isten országa.’	9 Cure those in it who are sick, and say, "The kingdom of God is very near to you."
10 Ha pedig egy városba betértek, és nem fogadnak be titeket, menjetek ki az utcára, és mondjátok:	10 But whenever you enter a town and they do not make you welcome, go out into its streets and say,
11 ‘Még a port is lerázzuk nektek, amely a ti városotokban lábainkra tapadt; tudjátok meg azonban, hogy elközelgett az Isten országa.’	11 "We wipe off the very dust of your town that clings to our feet, and leave it with you. Yet be sure ofthis: the kingdom of God is very near."
12 Mondom nektek: Szodomának könnyebb lesz a sorsa azon a napon, mint annak a városnak.	12 I tel you, on the great Day it wil be more bearable for Sodom than for that town.
13 Jaj neked, Korozain! Jaj neked, Betszaida! Mert ha Tíruszban és Szidonban történtek volna a bennetek végbement csodák, már régen zsákban és hamuban ülve tartottak volna bűnbánatot.	13 'Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done inTyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 De Tírusznak és Szidonnak könnyebb lesz a sorsa az ítéleten, mint nektek.	14 And still, it wil be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgement than for you.
15 És te, Kafarnaum! Vajon az égig fogsz emelkedni? Az alvilágba süllyedsz!	15 And as for you, Capernaum, did you want to be raised high as heaven? You shal be flung down tohell.
16 Aki titeket hallgat, engem hallgat, és aki titeket megvet, engem vet meg; aki pedig engem megvet, azt veti meg, aki engem küldött.«	16 'Anyone who listens to you listens to me; anyone who rejects you rejects me, and those who rejectme reject the one who sent me.'
17 Amikor a hetvenkettő visszatért, örömmel mondták: »Uram! Még az ördögök is engedelmeskednek nekünk a te nevedben!«	17 The seventy-two came back rejoicing. 'Lord,' they said, 'even the devils submit to us when we useyour name.'
18 Ő azt felelte nekik: »Láttam a sátánt: mint a villám, úgy zuhant le az égből.	18 He said to them, 'I watched Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 Íme, hatalmat adtam nektek, hogy kígyókon és skorpiókon járjatok, s minden ellenséges hatalmon, és semmi sem fog ártani nektek.	19 Look, I have given you power to tread down serpents and scorpions and the whole strength of theenemy; nothing shal ever hurt you.
20 De ne annak örüljetek, hogy a lelkek engedelmeskednek nektek, hanem annak örüljetek, hogy nevetek fel van írva a mennyekben.«	20 Yet do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you; rejoice instead that your names are written inheaven.'
21 Abban az órában Jézus felujjongott a Szentlélekben, és így szólt: »Áldalak téged, Atyám, mennynek és földnek Ura, mert elrejtetted ezeket a bölcsek és okosak elől, és feltártad a kicsinyeknek. Igen, Atyám, így tetszett neked.	21 Just at this time, fil ed with joy by the Holy Spirit, he said, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and ofearth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes, Father,for that is what it has pleased you to do.
22 Atyám mindent átadott nekem. Senki sem tudja, hogy ki a Fiú, csak az Atya; és azt sem, hogy ki az Atya, csak a Fiú, és akinek a Fiú ki akarja nyilatkoztatni.«	22 Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except theFather, and who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.'
23 Majd külön a tanítványaihoz fordulva ezt mondta: »Boldog a szem, amely látja, amit ti láttok.	23 Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves, 'Blessed are the eyes that see whatyou see,
24 Mert mondom nektek: sok próféta és király kívánta látni, amit ti láttok, és nem látta, és hallani, amit ti hallotok, de nem hallotta.«	24 for I tel you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it; to hearwhat you hear, and never heard it.'
25 Ekkor fölállt egy törvénytudó, hogy próbára tegye, és így szólt: »Mester! Mit tegyek, hogy elnyerjem az örök életet?«	25 And now a lawyer stood up and, to test him, asked, 'Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?'
26 Ő ezt válaszolta neki: »Mi van írva a törvényben? Hogyan olvasod?«	26 He said to him, 'What is written in the Law? What is your reading of it?'
27 Az így felelt: »Szeresd Uradat, Istenedet teljes szívedből és teljes lelkedből, minden erődből és egész elmédből ; felebarátodat pedig, mint önmagadat« .	27 He replied, 'You must love the Lord your God with al your heart, with al your soul, with all yourstrength, and with al your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.'
28 Erre ő így szólt: »Helyesen feleltél! Tedd ezt, és élni fogsz.«	28 Jesus said to him, 'You have answered right, do this and life is yours.'
29 De az igazolni akarta magát, ezért megkérdezte Jézust: »De ki az én felebarátom?«	29 But the man was anxious to justify himself and said to Jesus, 'And who is my neighbour?'
30 Jézus akkor így kezdett beszélni: »Egy ember Jeruzsálemből Jerikóba ment, és rablók kezébe került. Azok kifosztották, véresre verték, majd félholtan otthagyták és eltávoztak.	30 In answer Jesus said, 'A man was once on his way down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fel into thehands of bandits; they stripped him, beat him and then made off, leaving him half dead.
31 Történetesen egy pap ment azon az úton lefelé; látta, de továbbment.	31 Now a priest happened to be travel ing down the same road, but when he saw the man, he passed byon the other side.
32 Hasonlóképpen egy levita is, amikor ahhoz a helyhez ért és látta őt, elment mellette.	32 In the same way a Levite who came to the place saw him, and passed by on the other side.
33 Arra ment egy szamaritánus is. Amikor odaért hozzá és meglátta, megesett rajta a szíve.	33 But a Samaritan travel er who came on him was moved with compassion when he saw him.
34 Odalépett hozzá, olajat és bort öntött a sebeire, és bekötözte; azután föltette teherhordó állatára, elvitte egy fogadóba és ápolta.	34 He went up to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. He then lifted him ontohis own mount and took him to an inn and looked after him.
35 Másnap elővett két dénárt, odaadta a fogadósnak, és ezt mondta: ‘Viseld gondját neki, és ha többet költenél, amikor visszatérek, megadom neked.’	35 Next day, he took out two denari and handed them to the innkeeper and said, "Look after him, andon my way back I wil make good any extra expense you have."
36 Mit gondolsz, e három közül melyik lett a felebarátja annak, aki a rablók kezébe került?«	36 Which of these three, do you think, proved himself a neighbour to the man who fel into the bandits'hands?'
37 Az így felelt: »Az, aki irgalmasságot cselekedett vele.« Jézus erre azt mondta neki: »Menj, és te is hasonlóképpen cselekedjél!«	37 He replied, 'The one who showed pity towards him.' Jesus said to him, 'Go, and do the sameyourself.'
38 Történt pedig, hogy amikor továbbmentek, betért egy faluba, ahol egy Márta nevű asszony befogadta őt házába.	38 In the course of their journey he came to a vil age, and a woman named Martha welcomed him intoher house.
39 Volt neki egy Mária nevű húga, aki az Úr lábához ülve hallgatta szavait,	39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the Lord's feet and listened to him speaking.
40 Márta pedig sürgött-forgott a sok házi dologban. Egyszer csak megállt, és így szólt: »Uram! Nem törődsz vele, hogy a húgom egyedül hagy engem szolgálni? Szólj már neki, hogy segítsen!«	40 Now Martha, who was distracted with all the serving, came to him and said, 'Lord, do you not carethat my sister is leaving me to do the serving al by myself? Please tel her to help me.'
41 Az Úr ezt válaszolta neki: »Márta, Márta! Sok mindenre gondod van és sok mindennel törődsz,	41 But the Lord answered, 'Martha, Martha,' he said, 'you worry and fret about so many things,
42 pedig csak egy a szükséges. Mária a jobbik részt választotta, és nem is veszíti el soha.«	42 and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part, and it is not to betaken from her.'
