2 Ascolta, o Dio, il mio grido, sii attento alla mia preghiera.	2 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer!
3 Dai confini della terra io t'invoco; mentre il mio cuore viene meno, guidami su rupe inaccessibile.	3 From the brink of Sheol I call; my heart grows faint. Raise me up, set me on a rock,
4 Tu sei per me rifugio, torre salda davanti all'avversario.	4 for you are my refuge, a tower of strength against the foe.
5 Dimorerò nella tua tenda per sempre, all'ombra delle tue ali troverò riparo;	5 Then I will ever dwell in your tent, take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
6 perché tu, Dio, hai ascoltato i miei voti, mi hai dato l'eredità di chi teme il tuo nome.	6 O God, when you accept my vows and hear the plea of those who revere your name in prayer:
7 Ai giorni del re aggiungi altri giorni, per molte generazioni siano i suoi anni.	7 "Add to the days of the king's life; may his years be many generations;
8 Regni per sempre sotto gli occhi di Dio; grazia e fedeltà lo custodiscano.	8 May he reign before God forever; may your love and fidelity preserve him"--
9 Allora canterò inni al tuo nome, sempre, sciogliendo i miei voti giorno per giorno.	9 Then I will sing your name forever, fulfill my vows day after day.
