Signore, non si inorgoglisce il mio cuore
e non si leva con superbia il mio sguardo;
non vado in cerca di cose grandi,
superiori alle mie forze.
1 LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
2 Io sono tranquillo e sereno
come bimbo svezzato in braccio a sua madre,
come un bimbo svezzato è l'anima mia.

2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
3 Speri Israele nel Signore,
